I have started Ditropan XL 5mg HS without any change in the droplets. Any ideas as to what I should or could try next? My urologist thinks my sxs are overactive bladder. How can this be resolved?

Diet is a huge role in managing IC, such as cutting out coffee, citrus, caffeine, chocolate and other drinks/foods that can irritate an already irritated bladder like yours. I have been on Ditropan, then Ditropan XR (or EX, don't remember which is correct) and after about 10 years that didn't work, so my doctor put me on Enablex and that works pretty well. Then I got a new Dr. and he wanted to switch me to Vesicare. That didn't work well, either, and I began having episodes of incontinence and urgency again. It's almost open enrollment for Medicare Part D, and the plan that is the most affordable otherwise doesn't cover Enablex at all anymore.

I imagine after 8 weeks on the same med that you have the full effect. That is what I was told when I trialed Welbutrin for 8 weeks but was not able to get an effect that would last the day. The next med I tried worked well. You can ask your pharmacist because they are professionals.

My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...

I have already tried Detrol and Ditropan. Each one for two weeks. They didn't help my problem at all. I am now on Sanctura . . been on it for less than two weeks. I stopped all caffeine drinks about a week ago. I don't know if the Sanctura is helping my problem, or the lack of caffeine in my diet. But, I've been somewhat better. m concerned if the XL probe might have underestimated my fibrosis because it is designed for obese individuals. Given my low BMI and >6kpa fibroscan score using the XL probe, could it indicate that I have significant fibrosis and in need of treatment? My viral load is 770 and alt is 19.

The doctor failed every time no matter how hard he tried. Eventually, he used the Xl probe instead and it did succeed in taking readings. I got a score of 6.1kpa on the Xl probe. Being a rather skinny male, could it mean this probe might have underestimated the degree of my fibrosis. How would this reading compare to a reading using the M probe given I'm not fat thus XL probe could potentially miscalculate my score. Anyone who can share his opinion on this will be highly appreciated.

My LDL is 223 and before 222. when taking toprol XL 50-75 mg. My cholesterol is 177 when I am not on antihypertensive drugs.
