Avatar f tn I love big band music, and I would say that ONE of my favorite big bands is "Stan Kenton" he had a very innovative orchestra. One of my favorite pieces by him is "Song for a Sunday" it is so beautiful, and in this particular selection, he uses his orchestra that has violins and french horns, it is awesome.
Avatar m tn I am having such a difficult time doing without the Ativan, sonata and pain meds etc. I am really at a loss as to what to do. What can someone in my situation do? After all these yrs I am in pain and unable to sleep. Is this dangerous to be whipped off of these meds like this?
Avatar m tn It's 8 in the morning and I did not take the Sonata last nite. A little jittery but not much. I think I will leave off all of it l off and see how it goes. Not much can be worse than the constant jitters.
220090 tn?1379167187 I met him and he gave me the album and a tape of the records that he had made in a fancy recording studio that still had a turntable that could play 78 RPM records. I had a CD made from the tape and when I played it it was a miracle to me. The record was scratchy and sounded like it was 65 years old - as it was; but to hear my father playing after so many years was truly amazing experience. As soon as I unpacked the CD, I played it again.
Avatar m tn Hello, I've been having back pain and insomnia since my surgery 4 months and was prescribed Percocet. My surgeon told me to see a PCP for more Rx and I did. I went to a family practice with 3 doctors and 1 FNP. Two weeks ago, the FNP prescribe me indocin, benadryl, and retin-a(other). None of these medications helped with my back pain and thurday 12/23 I saw the PCP again.
Avatar m tn s ability to learn how to adapt to stress and interfere with REM sleep, and of course are addictive with quite a withdrawal kick. Although you only used it for a short time, people are different in how they respond to quitting -- it should be done gradually even after short term use if that use was continuous as opposed to as-needed occasional use. Don't know anything about Sonata, but all sleeping pills can be habit forming.
Avatar n tn What you posted about making good use of your waking hours is a great start. I did exactly that and what you posted. I also exercise 5 days a week at 5 AM. It actually jumpstarts my day and I really am tired by bedtime. While I was on Tamoxifen I had night sweats, but still got about 6-7 hours of sleep. My sleeplessness became worse after my parents and my father- in- law died in the same year. I was totaling about 4 1/2 hrs. a night.
Avatar n tn I am having trouble sleeping while on interferon/ribavirin. Is it safe to eat a valium while on these meds?
Avatar f tn t even have the energy to cut up a melon, much less make my own juice, but it has made a big difference in my energy. During the day, when I get sluggish and foggy, I eat fruit. I also put on some fun music and stretch. A five minute snack and stretch break produces immediate results, whereas a pill will take 20-25 minutes to work, and the only side effect I have to worry about is weight loss and increase in muscle tone.
Avatar f tn There is a form of ovarian cancer that is diagnosed in teens, and the prognosis is usually very good. The chemo is not taxol/carbo, not sure what it is, but, it is a tough chemo regime, usually requires a hospital stay. There was a man that used to post, Bob, his daughter was diagnosed while she was in high school. She's doing great, don't remember his "forum" name, but, his name was Bob and his daughter is Ashley, if you search you might be able to find some of their posts.
Avatar n tn When sound goes into my left ear, such as holding a phone on my left side to listen to music or laying on my right side and only my left ear is exposed, I get thumping in my RIGHT ear. My highly regarded ENT has never heard of this. He says it's probably my heartbeat. I've tested this several time. It is not my heartbeat. The thumping in my RIGHT ear follows the rhythm of whatever my LEFT ear is hearing. It's bizarre, and I'm hoping someone might know what I'm talking about.

338939 tn?1291343160 The lead singer of this band is an addict. I find being one myself draws me to music regarding my disease. Such as Seethers song called "fine again". Anyways, if you can't find the music, PM me, I'll send you the song. Both of them. Take care and stay strong. It gets better.
640838 tn?1377454398 Yes, I know what you mean. I am a very musical person and love all types of music, but I have to be careful what I listen to because I get really in it emotionally and it can cause my mood to change very quickly. I love music though a lot even though it sometimes causes trouble.
