6051159 tn?1378738892 Hello there, I would strongly suggest that you or another member of your family take your poodle to your vet asap. How old is your dog ? If she's vomiting and not eating this is concerning. She needs to be seen by a vet, in my opinion, urgently. Until it's confirmed your dog is pregnant, the reason for her throwing up and not eating is unknown.
Avatar m tn This could be something more serious, of course. Any chance your dog may have ingested something in the house or outside? Is the dog eating, drinking, any vomiting or diarrhea, eating and drinking? If this continues and especially if the dog shows any other signs, a trip to your Vet is warranted.
Avatar f tn Missy dog vomits when she eats or drinks. She can only keep down white rice and small amounts of water at a time. Her stool is normal and stomach isn't hard. I am concerned at she can't continue to just eat rice. I tried boiling hamburer and putting a little in the rice but she vomited that too.
Avatar f tn But my dog also had a bout of vomiting after I gave her an over the counter wormer (she had had this before and been OK with it, but suddenly started reacting badly to it. This happened twice so it was no coincidence. I got her another, different wormer (from the vet) and with this there was no vomiting. So it IS possible your little dog's vomiting is a reaction to the parasite meds she was given...
Avatar f tn Women are more prone to gallbladder attacks like this especially if you are pregnant or have been pregnant. Get your gallbladder checked. It could be stones or the pre-stone formation. It made me sick as a dog too especially when eating fatty foods.
Avatar m tn My dog has been vomiting yellow bile and sometimes with food.. he has very little appetite. Vet visit last wed showed nothing unusual on blood work and exam. said to treat as acid reflux. Meds haven't stopped it and appetite is actually worse.. he is 10+ husky/shep mix.
Avatar f tn My dog is seven weeks pregnant she hasn't been eating, tried mixing different foods with her dry food, she turns away from her dish, she started throwing up earlier today and I'm not sure what to do
Avatar f tn But im experiencing those pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness, nausea and vomiting, mild cramping, back pain, frequent urinating, food cravings and nose like a dog. Hardly sleep at night and elevated temp. Does anyone have same experience like me?! Help please...
Avatar f tn He acted normally--drank water, ate food, ran around playing and did everything he normally does except for the vomiting. He had had no change in foods, but he is the type of dog that eats nails, paper clips, tacks, necklaces, plastic, and anything he isn't supposed to that he can get his paws on. Since I have 2 children I never know what they might drop or leave lying around, and; therefore, I am often pulling things out of my dog's mouth.
1086217 tn?1256696089 When we got a new vet, she immediately treated his ears, and no more vomiting. It can also happen if your dog has bad allergies, from all that mucus draining into the stomach. You might want to check your dog's ears for a lot of wax or redness, and watch for a lot of scratching or biting to indicate allergies.
Avatar f tn Anorexia (not eating) and vomiting in a dog is very serious. He should be seen by a vet within the next 12 hours ideally. This could be a vius, bacterial infection, pancreatitis, foreign object in his stomach etc.
Avatar m tn I am sorry about your dog. Vomiting can be caused by a great number or problems including: parasites, gastritis, toxins, infectious agents, foreign body ingestion, kidney or liver disease, cancers and more. Not eating for two weeks is very serious. It would be great if your vet's were able to perform blood tests and X-Rays because once there is a diagnosis proper treatment can be instituted. If diagnostics cannot be performed than symptomatic treatment is the next best option.
4487133 tn?1355332064 My 15 month old English Bulldog has been vomiting for about 6 weeks now (daily, sometimes twice daily). If it is after a meal, then she throws up the entire meal. If it is not near a meal, then she throws up a large amount of bile colored drool. She eats only her recommended amount of Innova-Weight Control dog food twice daily (given to her in small amounts at a time) - No table food at all. She has been taking half a tab (37.
Avatar f tn My parents dog is 13 years old. In December the dog had an episode of vomiting up bright red blood and then vomiting up a darker substance. Parents took dog to vet. Vet thought the dog ate some deer poo or something similar and gave the dog an anti-vomiting type medication. Dog was okay for about a week maybe. Then started throwing up blood again. They took him back to vet. Vet recommended having a light run down into his gastrointestinal tract to check for stomach tumors.
Avatar f tn Vomiting will not help with suboxone since it's absorbed through the mucus membranes of the mouth. 1 mg is a HUGE dose for a 10 lb dog, and a dam big dose for an opiate-naive human. Call your regular vet clinic. There should be an outgoing message instructing you what to do in an emergency. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY so please do it now!
Avatar f tn Does anyone have any dogs who have been randomly vomiting since having a pregnant family member? Mine does. I wonder if it has to do with my smell?
Avatar m tn s now 10 hrs since your post ... is your dog still vomiting? If so, this is something you really need to see your vet about, sorry about the cost, but the good care of your pet is worth it in the end. Pups can chew on things they shouldn't and even small pieces can cause obstructions along the gut, which can be fatal.
Avatar m tn My dog was vomiting mucus several times a day so I took him to the vet who took 2 xrays, blood and determined he had allergies. She gave him antibiotics, prilosec, benedryl and something else for his stomach which he took for a week. I stopped them after a week and he is throwing mucus up again. I have spent $500. so far. What can i do?

1380814 tn?1285965586 About a month ago my dog was throwing up stomach bile like once or twice a week, then it stopped for a while. I tried to get my mom to take her to the vet but she didn't think it was anything to worry about. Lately she's been puking up nothing, like she dry-heaves and makes a coughing noise as she does it. But she's still her normal-self, hyper and energetic. She vomited today and there was blood in it, even though it was barely noticeable. Is this serious?
Avatar m tn This is not uncommon in my experience. The best I can offer is to carefully pick up the "poop" and put in trash (plastic shopping bags work well). This my pass and unpleasant as the suggestion is it may be worth a try. We have a large property and a small dog, so I don't pick up behind our dog.. it all decomposes and he's good about going away from the house so stepping in it is unlikely.
