I recently started taking sildenafil (viagra) and I am experiencing some vision issues. It's been about a week since I last took a 40mg dose and I'm still seeing little starry patterns as though I've been pressing on my eyes. Is this normal? I've read that viagra can cause blindness in some people and don't want to mess up my vision. Should I stop taking it? And if so, what would be an alternative?
After I take it, I experience vision problems for about a week after. Namely, I have starry vision and problems seeing in the dark (particularly walking from a lighted room into a dark room.) I've had several eye exams and the doctor says there's nothing wrong with my eyes and it's fine to keep taking Viagra, but I'm a bit worried. Anyone else have this experience or might know what's going on? I'd rather not lose my eyesight just to keep my erection!
Only recently I have noted on television commercials for Viagra and similar products the warning to stop using them and see your doctor if any vision problems occur. Naturally my laymans mind began to ponder the possibility that there might be some connection between my use of this drug and my subsequent eye difficulties. I have not used Viagra at all since the second detachment, but am wondering if you have any knowledge or thoughts on possible connections.

First of all, why does he feel he needs Viagra? Is he uninterested in sex? Viagra doesn’t create sexual interest. Is he worried about erections, or is he not having orgasms? Without knowing his situation, it's difficult for me to comment except in a general way.
Realize that men can have a multitude of sexual concerns with many possible causes. If your partner has lost interest in sex, when did this happen? Is it recent, or has it been building for awhile. Is he tired? Does he work hard?
My erections are not as hard as they used to be and I do not stay hard for long. I attribute my erection problems to the Propecia tablet that I take daily. As you know, Propecia is 1 mg. of finasteride. Propecia has been shown to cause side effects such as erectile problems in a small minority of users. Unfortunately, I appear to be in that small minority. Once my erection problems surfaced, I began looking for a solution.
I do not believe this was caused by Viagra. It usually causes a vascular problem.
The new onset of floater should be considered an urgent condition. It is may be associated with retinal tears and subsequent retinal detachment.

i was taking about 8 to 10 pills 10mg a day for about 4 years, during that time i started having erection problems...actually i couldnt get an erection..viagra didnt even help....after 4 years i started on a suboxone program and is still taking it.....and through these 6 years i still cant get an erections...there is a little firmness but nothing like it was before..Viagra doesnt help.
I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.
He began Suboxone treatment and is now weaning off of the Suboxone, and is now down to 1/4 of 8 mg. per day. I do not do any drugs, so I have a difficult time being able to tell what is normal and/or side effects of drug abuse. I have noticed in the last week (during his tapering off), his moodiness has returned, and he is not being as affectionate as he was being while on the Sub. As far as our sex life, it seems to be almost non-existant.
There are also management (such as Viagra - one warning I would give with Viagra is be careful not to take it, have intercourse, then sleep.
Keepin it simple, I haven't had a full erection for about 6 months now.
I'm 25, Type 1 Diabetic and having real troubles.
My control of my diabetes is good, not great but still good. I don't smoke, Don't drink regularly and I'm fairly fit.
In the past 6 months I've taken girls back to my place and either had to call it off completely or try to work with what I had. It either doesn't grow at all or it gets to half mast and dies within minutes.
s a form of performance anxiety here, and also suspect that you were more than somewhat surprised, embarrassed and perhaps even a bit traumatized by this unexpectedly happening and your self-confidence has become shaken.
So much so, that you've been dwelling on it (perhaps to the point of obsession?) and now this problem is repeating itself and even carrying over somewhat to plain masturbation times. I urge you to take an extended break and work at becoming at piece with yourself.

Can anyone tell me is there any chance of something going horrably wrong.
The way I see it is 30 quid is 30 quid and i was gonna do but my friend told me it could be dangerious and can give you problems getting an erection because I'm smoking it.
Anyone know is it can gimme problems later on.

Did he always come quickly? I know you said he used to be ready for round 2 quicker than he is now but was he always a quick finisher even during that time? For some guys this is just the way they are and there's really not much they can do about it. They sell numbing creams and all sorts of over the counter products that are supposed to improve stamina and lasting power and vitality and etc... but these are mostly snake oil.
Of late, I have observed that there are changes in vision such as loss of vision, blurred vision, eyes being more sensitive to light. I feel like something always pricks in both of the eyes. I feel blurry all the time. Tough, I have stopped taking sildenafil but I think the blurry vision is increasing day by day.
Please advise as what should i do. Your promet response would be of geart help to me !
Took Viagra no problem went back on klonopin and luvox and didnt need viagra. Had another case of performance anxiety two years later and my obsessions started again. Used Viagra and then no problem.Met my wife 6 months ago again performance anxiety, took cialis and it worked until I made a decision to try celexa for two weeks and I dont know if it was my anxiety or fear or did it really kill my sex drive. Viagra or Cialis didnt work. Went back on Luvox up to 150mg and Neurontin 300mg 2x a day.
