Avatar m tn That is because Viagra was a mixture of compounds put together in a drug company to give help to angina sufferers, but the very noticeable side effect was seen. However, they re-branded it for the purpose we see today.

Avatar f tn Sexual activity is not recommended in patients with heart failure, unstable angina, recent heart attacks, abnormal heart rates and changes in blood pressure levels. Sildenafil exerts systemic vasodilating action causing a lowering of blood pressure. This effect is not clinically significant and does not cause any complaints in most of the patients.
Avatar n tn The first step is to see if you can change your medication. If you have a heart condition and need to take nitrates you will not be able to take Viagra, Levitra, or Cialis.
Avatar m tn My erections are not as hard as they used to be and I do not stay hard for long. I attribute my erection problems to the Propecia tablet that I take daily. As you know, Propecia is 1 mg. of finasteride. Propecia has been shown to cause side effects such as erectile problems in a small minority of users. Unfortunately, I appear to be in that small minority. Once my erection problems surfaced, I began looking for a solution.
Avatar n tn Definitely check in with your health care provider before using viagra and heart medication. Viagra was accidentally discovered to work for ED when being studied for it's affects on the heart. They always ask you if you are taking this. Men taking ED medications can not take nitrates as a general rule.
Avatar m tn i was taking about 8 to 10 pills 10mg a day for about 4 years, during that time i started having erection problems...actually i couldnt get an erection..viagra didnt even help....after 4 years i started on a suboxone program and is still taking it.....and through these 6 years i still cant get an erections...there is a little firmness but nothing like it was before..Viagra doesnt help.
Avatar n tn Generally the only reason to be on Viagra is if you are on the older side in years and have had some of these problems and they can't be fixed. But older folks usually are more concerned with sex with a partner, so I'm just wondering, do you have sex with others, how old are you, and how did you get a prescription for Viagra if you're a young guy who mostly masturbates at this point in your life. The main cause of ED are mental issues.
Avatar f tn He began Suboxone treatment and is now weaning off of the Suboxone, and is now down to 1/4 of 8 mg. per day. I do not do any drugs, so I have a difficult time being able to tell what is normal and/or side effects of drug abuse. I have noticed in the last week (during his tapering off), his moodiness has returned, and he is not being as affectionate as he was being while on the Sub. As far as our sex life, it seems to be almost non-existant.
Avatar f tn My husband is on the medication Suboxone and I was needing to know if he can take Viagra with this medicine? We don't want him to take it and go into withdraws or anything so, are the two compatible?
Avatar m tn Keepin it simple, I haven't had a full erection for about 6 months now. I'm 25, Type 1 Diabetic and having real troubles. My control of my diabetes is good, not great but still good. I don't smoke, Don't drink regularly and I'm fairly fit. In the past 6 months I've taken girls back to my place and either had to call it off completely or try to work with what I had. It either doesn't grow at all or it gets to half mast and dies within minutes.
Avatar m tn Hi my name's dave,I'm 31 & I've been having sexual problems/erectile dysfunction for about 1 year/10 months whether it's with a girl or when I'm alone. There's some days I can't get an erection at all the days I can I can't maintain it for more than 10 minutes! It's not pyschological casue I've had ED for about 10 months/ a year ( I admit there was 1 or 2 occasions when I was stressed).
Avatar m tn After I take it, I experience vision problems for about a week after. Namely, I have starry vision and problems seeing in the dark (particularly walking from a lighted room into a dark room.) I've had several eye exams and the doctor says there's nothing wrong with my eyes and it's fine to keep taking Viagra, but I'm a bit worried. Anyone else have this experience or might know what's going on? I'd rather not lose my eyesight just to keep my erection!
Avatar m tn Remember, the original purpose of this substance was to relax blood vessels, and if you overdo it, you can have consequences with the heart and other parts of the body the drug was originally intended to affect. By altering the way the drug was manufactured to be used, again, you are on your own, it wasn't studied to be used this way, it was made to be ingested. You will still eventually digest it and filter it through the liver, but differently than if you ingest it.
Avatar m tn s a form of performance anxiety here, and also suspect that you were more than somewhat surprised, embarrassed and perhaps even a bit traumatized by this unexpectedly happening and your self-confidence has become shaken. So much so, that you've been dwelling on it (perhaps to the point of obsession?) and now this problem is repeating itself and even carrying over somewhat to plain masturbation times. I urge you to take an extended break and work at becoming at piece with yourself.
Avatar m tn If sex toys cannot help you, it is Viagra to the rescue! It is amazing how Viagra helped me. I expected to see and feel the side-effects of Viagra. I did see blue lights, my sinuses got gloggy, and I had a mild case of heartburn, but nothing too severe to stop taking Viagra. I found that the pill took about 40 to 45 minutes to get me ready. If your doctor recommends Viagra, be sure to buy Viagra from a pharmacy. Hundreds of online ads say get Viagra cheap.
Avatar f tn Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition in which a man has difficulty getting or maintaining an erection. It can be caused by physical or emotional problems. Avatar n tn Hi, I had prostate surgery in the form of a TURP and resection of the bladderneck in 1995 at the age of 30. In 1999 I first started having problems with ED. My urologist at the time prescribed Viagra which did not realy work. I did not really have any success with Cialis either. In 2003 I was seen by a urologist who specialized in ED as a part of a health clinic examination for a neurological problem that I was being seen for.
Avatar n tn I used to get a longer, stiff erection 10 years ago and using Viagra, etc. does nothing to make it stiffer or longer (used to be 6" now only about 4-1/2"). Can something be done to restore it?
Avatar n tn I was diagnose with clogged arteries over a year ago. I even had a stent put in because one of my arteries was ecluded. I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs. I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low.
