viagra

Avatar f tn I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.
Avatar m tn That is because Viagra was a mixture of compounds put together in a drug company to give help to angina sufferers, but the very noticeable side effect was seen. However, they re-branded it for the purpose we see today.
Avatar n tn Definitely check in with your health care provider before using viagra and heart medication. Viagra was accidentally discovered to work for ED when being studied for it's affects on the heart. They always ask you if you are taking this. Men taking ED medications can not take nitrates as a general rule.
Avatar n tn I am scheduled for a thallium stress test, and would like to know how the use of viagra or nitro prior to the test would influance the results.
Avatar f tn My husband is on the medication Suboxone and I was needing to know if he can take Viagra with this medicine? We don't want him to take it and go into withdraws or anything so, are the two compatible?
Avatar f tn Sexual activity is not recommended in patients with heart failure, unstable angina, recent heart attacks, abnormal heart rates and changes in blood pressure levels. Sildenafil exerts systemic vasodilating action causing a lowering of blood pressure. This effect is not clinically significant and does not cause any complaints in most of the patients.
Avatar m tn Anything good for your heart is good for your penis, that includes food, exercises, sleeping habits, sleeping posture, e.t.c.
Avatar n tn I was diagnose with clogged arteries over a year ago. I even had a stent put in because one of my arteries was ecluded. I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs. I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low.
Avatar f tn Please help if you can, About 3 years ago I had a few fainting episodes. Had a scan, tilt test, everything was fine. Doctors said they can't explain it. Fast forward 3 years I noticed I stopped getting morning erections. Within 2 months found it hard to get erections at all ( even alone) . My parenter broke up with me. No morning erections at all now and really struggle with erections. They are no full and as soon as I finish it goes down within seconds.
Avatar m tn I take pre-workout supplements (Muscle Pharm Assault) which contain L-Arginine and Beta Alinine (nitric oxide), which I read doesnt go well when taken at the same time as Viagra. In addition, I take Creatine and Whey Protein as well. I am not planning on taking them at the same time though. Could you advise if it is safe to take these on the days when I am not having Viagra. Also, how long do I need to wait before I can take them.
Avatar f tn So it has nothing to do with MS. Viagra increases blood flow and it helps a lot. It will drop your blood pressure and you don't want it to drop to a dangerous level, so you need to monitor it. Start with the minimum effective dose which is 25mg and see if it does something for you. If you wait for a study from the FDA on Viagra for MS, then it will probably happen after you are dead. Please try this now. Viagra has a very good safety profile for a number of years now.
Avatar n tn Generally the only reason to be on Viagra is if you are on the older side in years and have had some of these problems and they can't be fixed. But older folks usually are more concerned with sex with a partner, so I'm just wondering, do you have sex with others, how old are you, and how did you get a prescription for Viagra if you're a young guy who mostly masturbates at this point in your life. The main cause of ED are mental issues.
Avatar m tn I guess you must already be seeing a doctor about your blood pressure, so go and speak to them and tell them you are having this problem. Only a doctor can tell you for sure if it is related, and advise what the best thing to do would be.
Avatar m tn However, I would appreciate if you could clarify one part of your answer. When you stated that it is safest not to use both Viagra and L-Arginine, do you mean that I should not use L-Arginine on the days that I use Viagra or do you mean that I should totally discontinue use of L-Arginine because I occasionally take Viagra - i.e. once a week.
Avatar n tn The first step is to see if you can change your medication. If you have a heart condition and need to take nitrates you will not be able to take Viagra, Levitra, or Cialis.
Avatar m tn Ive also been tested for HIV so I know thats not an issue and I protect myself while having sex. But I think there may be a correlation between using viagra and my outbreaks. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Although rare, Viagra (sildenafil), Cialis (tadalafil) and Levitra (vardenafil) can cause muscle pain and unusual skin sensations or paresthesia. In clinical studies, Viagra caused muscle pain and paresthesia in less than 2% of patients. Patients who experience these side effects should stop taking the medication and consult their physician. These medications increase blood flow to the penis by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5).
Avatar m tn Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.
Avatar n tn Need to know yes or no. Someone taking Viagra, etc., that is given heart meds continue to take Viagra?
Avatar n tn While you may be a candidate for the drugs as they do help in the recovery (especially if you never had any erectile dysfunction before the surgery), these drugs would also have side effects and may be contraindicated in the presence of other conditions like heart disease and run contrary to other medications. The nature of the surgery is also important, as the proof of treatment effect was conducted for men who had nerve sparing surgery.
