do u mean carrier of hpv on cervix or genital warts?have ur paps cme up clean for hpv?my understanding of genital herpes is once u get it u always have it..and partner can get infected when u have outbreak and not taking valtrex....important question is ur partners hx of std's and what he could b bringing to u!
he knows of my status and i take daily valtrex. he was also recently diagnosed with hpv (he had warts). his major concern is getting hsv from me. i rarely have outbreaks and i take suppressive therapy daily and i always check myself. what are the risks of him contracting it if we have a long term relationship? is it eventually inevitable? ive read and heard so much conflicting info.
Ok so i had sex with 6 people and did others things....5 of them i did without a condom. So i recently been having like warts around the pubic area but havent got them recently...i recently found some dry spots on the head of my penis could this be herpes...if is im scared to even go to my doctor!! HELP!!!
I told her this but she quickly said herpes or folliculitis and sent me on my way with a HSV2 test order and rx for Valtrex. I got the test and it came back 3.12, but Grace mentioned this test has a relatively high false positive rate. (I definitely have HSV1 - not sure if that affects the test.) So I took a 10 day course of Valtrex, first 3 doses of 1 mg each for 7 days, then was told by my doc that that is the wrong dose, so 2 doses of 1 mg each for the remaining 3 days.
Hi there, you have been given medication for herpes (hsv), not warts (hpv). There are low-risk and high-risk strains of hpv. Low risk strains of hpv may cause genital warts but usually don't. High risk strains of hpv may cause abnormal cervical cells that may lead to cancer but usually don't. It all depends on the immune system to battle the virus. This will determine if an individual actually experiences symptoms caused by hpv. Are you absolutely positive it is not folliculitis?
ve been in a faithful relationship for a year and a half and my boyfriend doesnt get cold sores)?! Two different GPs have told me its nothing to worry about and normally after the 1st outbreak people dont really get anymore and it doenst affect your daily life. But since my outbreak my skin around my vagina and vulva has been itchy and red almost every day, and sex causes little tears in the skin down there. Is this normal?
i feel he just said that of my past history, he prescribes overdosing me on valtrex 500 x3 for 10 days when recurrances only need 500x2 for 3 days and he told me lotrimin cream 2x a day for 5 days. i dont feel comfortable with his diagnose, does what i have sound like genital warts. i cant handle another STD im extremely nervous.
(No warts, blisters lesions) Longest period the pain has subsided has been about 10 days. Recently had sex with spouse and irrtation has returned.
what testing did you have done for herpes?
you need to be seen again and get proper testing of your discharge. brown discharge isn't typical for herpes ob's.
Please see time line below. I have HSV-2 but very few outbreaks and never in this area.
Two weeks ago.
1. Rubbed penis between breast of female with some form of lubrication.
2. Condom placed on penis and received oral sex.
3. Penis cleaned with some form of wipe.
4. Hour later cleaned penis again with skin wipe.
5. Hour later masterbated with lotion.
Symptoms
1.Two days later red rash near urethra opening.
2. Very small raised bumps (not herpes) near opening flesh colored.

I have been diagnosed with HPV warts for over a year. The first time I had a breakout, they were on my lower labia area and they were like a bunch of hard pimples. They appeared after I started taking a birth control pill and didn't go away until I quit taking it altogether. Well I haven't had sexual intercourse for almost a year and only had 2 little pimple like bumps. Well I recently had a painful UTI that has cleared up, and it was stressful.
I'm a 29 year old male. In May of 2007 I developed a burning sensation in genitals and anus (started as an icy cold feeling but since has just been straight heat. In my anus it sometimes feel like there's something moving around the edge). The sensation was consistently there for 4 months straight. After that I've had a week here or there where the pain is minimal but the majority of the time i'm in considerable pain. Any kind of relief lasts no longer than about 7 days.
I forgot to add that i started noticing the red spots 3-4 weeks after sexual encounter also i used a condom for most the time and took it off for the last 5 mins. If that helps at all.
I have had hsv 2 for more than 10 years. I recently became involved with a girl and although we have not had intercourse or oral sex of any kind, we have had body rubbing and hand to genital contact but during the body rubbing, my pants never came off. I am well aware of what it feels like right before and during I have a break out as in tingling, skin sensitivity and pain.
I started taking Valtrex for Herpes2, and I feel anxious,depressed, and I have been waking up with bad headaches in the middle of the night. I don't know if it is all in my head, because I just tested postive for this, and I have been dealing with this for about 15 yrs. I am still shocked. I have been to several doctors who blew it off as a yeast infection. Does anyone know of any alternatives that work?
my wife and i just got tested for std's and I came back all neg, and she came back with hpv 1 and 2 ,how can she have this and not me , we dont use protection and we have been together over 2 years
