valtrex and warts

he knows of my status and i take daily valtrex. he was also recently diagnosed with hpv (he had warts). his major concern is getting hsv from me. i rarely have outbreaks and i take suppressive therapy daily and i always check myself. what are the risks of him contracting it if we have a long term relationship? is it eventually inevitable? ive read and heard so much conflicting info.

diagnosed by blood test, yes true I thought also my doc said it can be dorment for years and as far as the warts on him I went with him to doc and his doc said they you can get gw from your mothers birth canal or swimming in un chlorinated water so we are not going to play the name game who when where we got this we just need to get through this together whats done is done and can't go back or let this tare us apart

Genital warts and herpes are different. I've never known warts to have "outbreaks." Once they're there, they stay.

that is good genital warts all gone....u can get them more than once!HPV warts caused by strains 6 and 11..and it is good that u haven't had outbreak of herpes.Here in the USA i read about a lot of people with genital herpes that must remain on the Valtrex when they have outbreaks.Good Luck 2 u...glad this helped and keep us posted!

I was just diagnosed with the herpes and was taking Valtrex which cleared up the a discharge and the lesions. The brown discharge is now back though and I am having some pains and sensitivity/redness in the vaginal area again, but no lesions yet. Could this all be a sign of the herpes returning?

On a side note, the same general doc gave me valtrex for a rash that I had on my upper lip that sometimes itch and burn. the valtrex did nothing, and then I started to doubt that the rash was caused by herpes because I never had blister or sores and I don't think an herpes outbreak don't last the whole winter ( which is when I usually had it), or a whole year.

Ok so i had sex with 6 people and did others things....5 of them i did without a condom. So i recently been having like warts around the pubic area but havent got them recently...i recently found some dry spots on the head of my penis could this be herpes...if is im scared to even go to my doctor!! Most genital herpes is caused by HSV-2. Most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum.

2 weeks ago I went to the doctor and he found genital warts. I had the warts removed last week and my first question is, Does having both warts and herpes cause you to have more outbreaks and vaginosis episodes, and now that the warts are gone will the outbreaks decrease? Also I have been with the same person for these 7 months and when I had my initial HSV outbreak we both got tested. In my mind I always felt like I got it from him but he says his tests came back negative.

I told her this but she quickly said herpes or folliculitis and sent me on my way with a HSV2 test order and rx for Valtrex. I got the test and it came back 3.12, but Grace mentioned this test has a relatively high false positive rate. (I definitely have HSV1 - not sure if that affects the test.) So I took a 10 day course of Valtrex, first 3 doses of 1 mg each for 7 days, then was told by my doc that that is the wrong dose, so 2 doses of 1 mg each for the remaining 3 days.

Army health care is a joke. No tests, no referrals, just throw some drugs at it and hope. I researched Valtrex immediately and realized that it has no correlation to HPV. I was clean before I got married, and my wife only had HPV, but had never had an outbreak or any symptoms. I'll probably just have to wait 3 months till I can go back to Germany (and decent healthcare) to get a test to rule out HSV. Thanks for responding.

I have Genital Herpes and Genital Warts HPV . I go to my doctor in 2 weeks to get acid put on the genital warts and they gave me Valtrex for the herpes , I am very very scared . Is there anyway you can help me ?

The next day I felt slight irritation which progressed the following days after and soon there were large red sores where the warts had been. I went back to the doctors and they did a culture for Herpes and I am so terrified it will come back positive. It has been 5 days of incredible "raw" irritation feelings. No pain is felt when I pee, but when I wipe it hurts to touch. It is a painful raw skin feeling, no itiching or burning, just pain of raw irritated skin.

**UPDATE 1** Went to clinic again today to do a urinalysis. The urinalysis returned with "no infection present" The Dr. Is going towards my urethritis being caused by HSV1 and prescribed me Valtrex. I have blisters that come up on my tailbone area quite a bit, I was molested when I was younger and whoever molested me gave me genital warts, which I no longer have but the doctors told me I carry the virus and I can give it to partners but its unlikely sometimes. But just about the starting of this year I have had this breakout on my tail bone and it itches, its red cause I mess with it and it doesn't hurt as much as it itches.

About 90% people clear the virus within 2 years, most within several months. If its been several months since your last symptoms, or you've had at least 2 normal paps in a row, then you probably aren't infectious anymore. Does your gf know what type of herpes she has?

I have been diagnosed with HPV warts for over a year. The first time I had a breakout, they were on my lower labia area and they were like a bunch of hard pimples. Went and saw a dermatologist and he said definitely not herpes said brown spots could possible be warts and froze them off, they have completely disappeared and you cant tell they were there. I had unprotected sex once last month and two weeks later I had a cluster of very tiny bumps on my vagina area, they went away in a few days, no crusting or anything, so I thought it was a yeast infection. I am going through a very uncomfortable situation and i will try to make this as short as possible. I had an HIV Exposure DEC 31 2015, I did a 4th gen HIV Test at 10 weeks result was negative then I did an oraquick at 6 months came back negative. However i had been drinking wine before the test was done and didn't wait 20 min. 2. my wife and i just got tested for std's and I came back all neg, and she came back with hpv 1 and 2 ,how can she have this and not me , we dont use protection and we have been together over 2 years

most folks who do, experience it initially when diagnosed and go on valtrex and are incredibly stressed. for most , it does come back. I do know of less than a handful of folks who experienced hair loss while on valtrex, they could find no other cause for it and even after stopping the valtrex the hair loss did not stop. at this point continue to follow up on this with the dermatologist. they are your best bet.

acyclovir is 400mg 2x/day every single day. she will still get recurrences while on daily suppressive therapy regardless of if she's on acyclovir or valtrex, you just take acyclovir more often than you do valtrex.
