valtrex and weight loss

I also have the condition of genital herpes for about 5 years now and hsv1 since I was a child, and some times I take valtrex madication due to many episodes. Now im taking 1 gm per day . Im very worry, do hives are due to valtrex? or emotion(I am very emotional and a worrier) hives and cyst are allergy reactions to valtrex or symptoms of a serious infection like hiv or hepatitis, etc what could be happening???

Since my initial outbreak of 2 ulcers (not blisters, not painful) in December, I have had these symptoms - burning and constant irritation of vagina, lower back pain, pain in inner thighs, weight loss, constipation, burning around anal area. Is it common to have lingering symptoms after an initial outbreak? I took Valtrex at initial infection and the ulcers went away in about 6 days. Also, does low IGG = mild infection?

I was on a high pressurized airplane and I had taken some ampicillin and later tinidazole+doxycycline+roxithromycin and vitamin b complex. Suddenly I had terrible hearing loss and inability to speak or understand people Is this RH, I ran to the ER and they gave me 7 days of valtrex. the prednisone seems to help a lot at 60mg/day. After 3 days I began to regain my hearing but I still can't hear or PROCESS the word 'heart' Thanks!

Ok the antivirals like Valtrex may be the reason i'm having loss of appetite and diarrhea. Just wanted to see if anybody else had heard about it before.

Is hair loss a side effect of Valacyclovir/Valtrex when taken for suppressive therapy?

I would encourage your provider and you to seek out other reasons for your slight hypertension, and also appropriate medication and/or exercise and weight loss (if appropriate). If you have no kidney disease, you need no dose adjustment.

I went to my doctor told him about the ER diagnosis and he prescribed me Valtrex.. I have had monthly outbreaks since then. After about a year I asked to be "officially" tested. My blood draw returned with a negative result for HSV 1 and HSV 2. They did a redraw which was also negative. However, valtrex did help alleviate my symptoms.

He recommended dropping the Valtrex and attempting to get a PCR on any subsequent lesions. I dropped the Valtrex the following week and observed no change in symptoms for about 2 months. In January 2011, 5 small blisters ruptured on my penis while having sexual intercourse with a condom. After I posted this I talked to the hospital doc about my negativ test result. She didnt think Valtrex had interferred with the results. I have had "herpes symptoms" four months, taking Valtrex last four weeks. Maybe I could have a new test taken in a couple of weeks when my system is clear of Valtrex? Just to be on the safe side? Just no it is all too confusing. One doc says: HERPES! The other says: no this is not herpes.

i have generic valtrex but i also have chronic migraine and i feel the valtrex gives me a headache. do u get side effects from valtrex?

08, I learned to prevent an outbreak via 2000mg Valtrex during tingle. After a few preventions I no longer need Valtrex and can suppress it naturally except for being sick, or lot of UV exposure. Outbreak free for 6 weeks, my questions: 1. On my lips, at the site of prior infections (it jumps around), even though I haven't had an outbreak in this particular location for a few months, I often having a burning sensation here and other places on my lips.

Thanks for the reply. Well if valtrex doesnt affect the results,wouldnt 55days be enough for conclusion? As doctors say 6weeks is quite enough for antihiv tests except cemotherapy patients?

There are healthy ways to lose weight and that could be discussed in the specific forum but obtaining a nutrionist is best and Weight Watchers good as well but avoid weight loss products. Most are unhealthy or useless. And products with Nutrasweet should be avoided as well as that can worsen depression (as some studies show). Replace all sugared drinks with flavored seltzer water for starters. That worked for me.

hi there lovely ladies! ok this may seem a bit of a rant, but I am so frustrated! I an 23 and was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago, i am on the pill, and was simply told by my doctor, exercise more and eat right (which is a bit suss as you'll see below), i can deal with the dieting, i can deal with the random periods and i can deal with the excess hair (my mums italian so it was kinda on the cards already) but i cannot deal with the weight!

t have to count calories you eliminate the foods that cause the weight gain, the spikes in insulin which causes the weight gain and amazingly you will lose weight.. you will have more energy and it will become easier to exercise and you gain that energy.. I'm down 60 lbs and am loving eating this way.. it has cured a bunch of health problems and it has helped a bunch of people(including my parents) get to where they want to be with their weight.

) oh and my sister is pregnant with her fourth and all her pregnancies she always lost weight and not gained! So jus try ur best and eat when u can, good luck!

hi beverlyhilsa, actually, most of our problem are just because of our bad habits, no one has forced you to eat junks, sugar or other stuff like that but still, you are eating. okay, now if you have really decided to lost weight just say "yes I can do it" and you are half done. people will share their experiences over this forum and I'll do the same. I use beyond weight management tea for my weight loss and found it really good.
