Avatar f tn Several things can cause protein in your urine, UTI, sex, even eating a good amount of red meat the night before can make you test positive for protein.
Avatar n tn When I was had protein in my urine it meant I had pre-eclampsia and which is not good at all. What has your doctor said?
4503521 tn?1400858886 Having small amounts of protein in your urine is common in pregnancy. It can happen for a number of reasons. It probably just means that your kidneys are working harder now that you're pregnant. It could also mean that your body is fighting a minor infection. Your midwife may send a sample of your urine to the hospital to check if you have a urinary tract infection (UTI). If you have a UTI, your doctor will prescribe an antibiotic that is safe to take in pregnancy.
1305271 tn?1320984748 My friend had high levels of protein in her urine. She had to do a 24 pee test, the doctors told her she got the protein from eating to many bananas and the high levels of potassium are what did it for her. You may just have to much of that, but I would follow up with your doc!
5889951 tn?1380316047 Protein Excess protein in your urine can be a sign of a urinary tract infection (UTI), kidney damage, or certain other disorders. Later in your pregnancy, it can also be a sign of preeclampsia if it's accompanied by high blood pressure. If you have protein in your urine but your blood pressure is normal, your sample will be sent to the lab for a culture to see whether you have a UTI.
Avatar f tn Just been to see midwife have protein plus in my urine but no high blood pressure anyone else had this thanks
Avatar f tn I have been Showing Protein Positive in dip test at my PCP and Blood presence of 50-100 since 2002. This happens almost on a monthly or 3 weeks basis. My tests are never done during or close to my menstrual cycle so we know it's not from that. I am recently went to a urologist and he is going to test me on Feb. 25th with a catch through the urethra?. ... He is using a scope to go in and see what is happening.

Avatar n tn Hello! Anyone else get protein in their urine? I'm 6 weeks and 5 days and I'm hoping it's nothing serious although my doctor called me back to her office to discuss it. Any support would be great! My blood pressure was normal and no UTI symptoms, I'm hoping it's just my kidneys working hard due to pregnancy.
5807499 tn?1383275275 It's like that for everyone they haven't even made sure my breast milk is coming in? I'm being seen up here at Pendleton. They have so many women they see they don't have time to test urine I'm guessing.
Avatar f tn I would get a pee test done for a UTI, cloudy urine is often caused by white old cells in the urine because of an infection. My clinic has a walk-in lab just for yeast infection and UTI testing. I wouldn't wait until your next doctor visit or it could turn into a kidney infection.
7822537 tn?1398276712 Has anyone taking the 24 hour urine test because they found protein in your urine? If so what was the results? My blood pressure has never been high or anything so I don't think it is pre eclampsia and it has me worried.
178698 tn?1228774338 I don't think so.....i think if you have bacteria in your urine it could mean UTI.
Avatar m tn saying that could I possibly have prostatitis? The colour of urine may also suggest some sort of infection (although a UTI as been ruled out).
384896 tn?1335294331 These past couple days my urine has been normal colored, [[cuz usually I'm dehydrated so it's a dark yellow]] but my urine has been cloudy?? I'm not sure what this means, but I'm going for my gluecose screaning next friday to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes. They found a small amount of protein in my urine at my last doc's apt but the doc says that it could very well be just from being dehydrated cuz my pee was VERY dark that day.
Avatar f tn Last time I went to midwife 9th jan I had protein in urine sample they sent it of and I had a uti.
Avatar m tn I believe they did not perform cultured urine test but just the one that the dip the stick in the urine sample and yes they said signs of infection and also protein has shown. Tomorrow is the last day for my antibiotics medication and right now there is no painful urination (or way slightly only at the beginning). So until when should I wait for before making next move?
10314769 tn?1409238579 I am almost 38 weeks. My urine has been good until now where there showed a trace of protein in my urine. My doctor hasn't called me to tell me anything, I found out by seeing the results online. I'm guessing they are not worried and will just speak to me at my next week's appointment. I have also lost 6 pounds since last week. What is going on!
Avatar n tn I check my urine at home with Chem Strips to check for protein. About a month ago I noticed nitrates were testing positive on the strips (Only +first morning urine), I had no symptoms of a UTI and I did nothing. Then a few days ago my urine appeared green and was testing for blood, leukocytes, protein (I always have this), and still the nitrates(Now positive at any time of day tested). I then began having urgency issues as well as right side flank pain. I went to the Dr.
14089185 tn?1439417585 Infection, protein, drugs, bacteria ect.
Avatar f tn I also have foamy urine, frequent urination, dribbling, split stream and had cloudy urine for a few days but that has cleared up. I bought a UTI test strip and it came back negative but decided to see a doctor who also said there is no UTI. I am awaiting results of my blood test and culture but freaked out by my foamy urine. I have had prostititis in the past which resulted in erection problems.
