I had high protein 2 weeks ago. Tested again this week and it was normal. Most women test high at some point in pregnancy, doesn't mean anything unless you get more than one in a row. I hadn't eaten much 2 weeks ago, that was probably the reason it was high for me. Dehydration can be another reason. Odds are you have nothing to worry about, just take it as it comes. if protein is not found in urine, will urine antibody test for any disease show no results? Or is it possible that there is antibody in urine but urine routine will show no protein present ?

Yesterday at my 1st prenatal visit, my OB said they found a small amount of protein in my urine, but said it could be due to dehydration, to drink more water. Lol I was like Okay then when my doc tols me I had to do a test she said if there is protein. In my urine they will have top put me on bed rest and Watch baby closely. But my doc doesn't think I have it. Is just everyone had to get the test done.

t know I had, dehydration a couple times, and protein in my urine(I later found out I had GD). So I worry they might miss something? Does anyone else have a Dr that doesn't make you pee on every visit??

They dont even ask because when you first gwt to your appointment the receptionist gives you a label for your sample and you go in the back do tour sample, slap ypur label on it.

Sorry if I posted this under the wrong topic,nothing else seemed to fit for my question.Anyway this morning I did a at home 10 panel urine test and it showed a trace of protein in my urine.My ph. was around 6.5 and everything else was negative or "normal".What I have found so far online is that stress can cause protein in the urine if there is no disease like kidney problems or diebetes,which I don't think I have.So is protein in the normal okay for me?

It could also mean you are expelling protien because of a damaged kidney. Just do the urine test like he requested and if there is more protien then the dr. will run additional tests. Good luck!

But he said there was protein in my urine so now I have to take the 24 hours urine test. Any thoughts on actually having preclampsia without having high blood pressure. I haven't changed in dilation or effacing at all since last week.
