Hi! I have used Clinical Guard ovulation strips, and they work. But I just discovered some called BFP, they make ovulation & pregnancy test strips, and they are super accurate and easy to read. They're my new "go-to" brand. I buy off of Amazon. Good luck! & lots of baby dust!

You can always buy test strips at target or pharmacy. PH strips you can test the discharge and it will tell you if its just urine or amniotic fluid.

they were all urine test i used FRER test i hope i get a blood test at the docs monday to confirm im just so worried but i know its best to loose it this early at 6 weeks than for it to a stillbirth again i just want this so bad im really upset its going to be really hard to wait on the other test

You can buy on line Urine Reagent Strips quite cheaply. There are some that test the urine just for glucose, but they do not give an accurate recording of how much sugar there is in the blood stream. These sticks are a good indicator, but they will only detect glucose in the urine if there is above a certain level (fairly high) of glucose in the urine. An HbA1c blood test shows average blood glucose levels over a sustained period (about a 3 month period).

Why not buy a pack of urine reagent test strips that you can use to test your urine for protein. A pack of 100 strips can be had for not too much money ($12.00 to around $50 depending on the brand). Find them through Google. Then if you see that you do have protein in your urine, you could use the strip as evidence to show your primary doctor that you need a referral to a nephrologist. I like the idea of using strips for testing at different times of day.

s what my docs have checked for. It really depends on the doc and the strips they buy. The test strips may be the color change test or they may have a machine that reads the strip and checks for various things. Not all docs test for the same things.

If you really want to have the correct ovulation window you should buy an ovulation kit. This will test your urine for hormones and let you know when the best time for you to have intercourse is. Basically, you should start testing your urine on day 11. It really is the best thing to do. There is a website you can order the ovulation test strips or sticks pretty cheap.

The midstream is just how it sounds, try to hold it in your urine stream for a few seconds. Personally, I buy the test strips from early-pregnancy-tests.com since they are cheaper and buy little plastic disposable bathroom cups to use with them. They have worked for me so far. but if you use PH strips, you can test your secretions...if it is 7 and above then it is amniotic fluid.....but anything below...usually you are safe if it is in the 2-3 range...... Your Dr. can also test this and you should probably call...I had this happen to me numerous times and I was so worried that I was leaking fluid but it was that nice leukorhea....it's gross and for me very wet with some white stuff.....

Another thing. Do you have any ketone strips? If not you can buy them at any pharmacy or grocery store in the diabetes area. Run one of the strips under your dog's urine stream and see if he has ketones in his urine. If he does he needs to get into the vet's ASAP.

But if you really did have something wrong like a gallstone or other bile blockage, then the urine test will remain constant in showing the problem on repeated tests. If you didn't have the strip stored properly, the testing chemicals on the strip will become compromised/contaminated and will give you the crazy results. Be sure your test strips are stored in a small, airtight container. And that you use a clean urine collection cup as well.

I have been scared of ngu or some other form of infection. I have used multiply uti test strips which test white blood cell count in urine. None have been positive, one or two showed trace amount of wbc (I've taken about 18 tests). Would these show an infection (ngu) if one existed???

Even tho it only happens to 1\3 of pregnant women. You can go on amazon and buy early hcg test strips for like $3 for 5. That will allow you to test more often! Hope this helps!

The test strips that I use are 10LG Parameter Urine Reagent Strips which can be bought on line at a reasonable price. These strips detect Leukocytes, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, Protein, pH, Blood, Specific Gravity, Ketone, Bilirubin, Glucose. You can get strips that detect less. The one that would be of interest if someone is suffering from dehydration is the Specific Gravity reading.

i saw it online, but went with the clear blue monitor. it is annoying to have to buy the test strips, but I got pregnant the second month.

or, you could buy some AZO infection test strips at your local pharmacy. They test for nitrate and white blood cells in your urine and tell you if you have an infection or not. If no infection is present, I would suggest seeing a chiropractor. Hope I helped.

You can actually buy the test strips from te chemist - even on ebay they are cheaper! I bought on ebay and test my own urine weekly. I am seriously prone to urine infections as dont have a bladder, this is why the progressive ckd.

Yes, a urine quick test can tell you if you have WBC, but not if you have gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU or another infection that could be causing that. You need specific tests for that. If you have concerns about those, you need to let the doctor know so they can do specific tests.

I again bought urine strips that detect blood only, and the strips shows non-hemolyzed trace only after drinking beer or coffee. If I drink a glass of water with a tsp of baking soda, the test strips come out negative. I guess my question is "is it harmful to drink a glass of baking soda water daily?", or should I return to the doctor and go thru kidney x-rays, cystoscopy, etc again?
