I rinsed my penis and swabbed with alcohol after. I also commenced Truvada that evening ( approx 4 hrs post exposure) . Is this adequate . I have now been on it for a week . I was considering commencing kaletra as well . Is my risk high ? would you recommend anything else?

I screwed up. I was incredibly drunk in San Francisco and agreed to let a street walker perform oral for a very small price. She quickly offered to have sex once we got to the laundry room (I know right?) and I was like well okay, but with a condom! And we used one but we were constantly interrupted so I would leave then return and put a new one on. At one point I pulled out and noticed no condom on me.
I am a 28 year old new male doctor (not MD) and two nights ago, I had unprotected sex with a male who strongly preferred no condoms. For about 2 minutes of the sex, I penetrated him anally without protection. After about 2 minutes, I withdrew my penis and introduced a condom. We finished the act.
Because of his aversion to condom usage, I became worried after he left.
The recommendations for post-PEP HIV testing are six weeks, three months and six months from the date of exposure. If you Google post-PEP testing schedules, you will find many different opinions. I know you are anxious to have an answer, but if you want the true answer, you wait and you use condoms until the final result.
I am a gay male and have taken Truvada as PrEP daily since last November.
This past week, I ran out of my Truvada after taking it on Tuesday morning. Prior to that, I had taken it daily for more than a month. I did not take Truvada on Wednesday or Thursday. I changed insurances and wanted to wait to pick up my refill until I got my copay and assistance straightened out.

He placed a condom on and began to penatrate me and concluded after 5 strokes said he was hot and he wanted to put the air conditioner on. He went to the bathroom and stayed in there for a while then came out and went to sleep. I went to the bathroom and noticed my menstraul started.
On truvada/Tivicay for PEP post exposure. Trying to understand what possible side effects are to make sure my symptoms are not ARS. Sore throat, hoarseness, mild fever at 100. fatigue.

I know fluid was exchanged. I started Truvada at 36 hours. Now, two weeks later I am kind of breaking out on my face, but it's like small zits in various places. Could this be a side effect from the PEP or is it a sign I seroconverted?

I took the first dose 25 hours post exposure. I just took my second dose. The side effects are moderate so far. I have a headache, a great deal of fatigue, and loose stools. I just generally feel like I have an awful hangover, but Im assuming it gets better. I can handle the side effects, but I just want to make sure there is value in continuing treatment. What would you recommend?
The question is with this one possible exposure and taking Truvada within the first 12 hours of exposure, what are the chances that i was infected by HIV, others.
I was thinking of going to the messuage polar again and seeing if the girl would be willing to take an oral HIV test (20 minute wait time). Pretty sure she would for the money.

Sir,I had a unprotected sex with a sex worker due to condom break, i found it after sex over. Its almost 35 days ago. Just after exposure, i started Truvada once a day after approx. 6 hrs from exposure. On next i tracked sex worker for testing elisa hiv thats come back negetive. I completed 28 course of truvada. LFT,KFT are normal that done after 32 days of exposure, but CBC having high lavel lymphocytes 49.3% and low Eosinophils .90%.

I started PEP after a relatively risky exposure. However, I started Turvada 42 hours after exposure. I've read that Truvada has a limited effectiveness after 24 hours. Is this accurate?
I also missed a dose on day 10 and from day 16 got general lymphadenopathy, headaches and other ARS-like symptoms.
Can anyone help?
im glad to hear it i think you made a wise choice .there are those of us who are going through hell trying to figure out our situations .i implore you melonman if you make it through this unscathed .keep your self out of harms way .i can only tell you i am in a world of misery since my encounter i have horrible debilatating symptoms to wich most said was no risk . i am happy to know that at least if conditions continue to worsen for me .that you will not have to suffer as i have.
Not entirely sure if PEP would be warranted in this situation. As for the two doses, studies indicate that 28 days is required to give the maximum benefit. Side effects I would suspect will be minimal. Truvada carries a risk of hepatotoxicity but this is not a concern after two doses.
Your risk is fairly low so take a 4th Gen Duo test at 28 days to give you some relief.
