I get blood shot eyes which is like some sort of eye strain, the pain in my eye is always where the redness appears usually this starts in the corner of my eye and becomes very painfull, I have striod drops which help.

Kelly, while this could be a flare in dental problems it could also be a brief episode of trigeminal neuralgia. From what I know you would rather have a root canal than TN, which is so painful that it has been nicknamed "the suicide pain."

Ive had similar pain in my face.The watery eye and the fact that its all on one side points towards trigeminal neralgia.A regular doctor wont be able to help you,you need to be referred to a nerologist so they can confirm the nerve damage.In the mean time,make sure your getting plenty of b vitamins.Particullarly b-12.You can find it on almost all store shelves.The b vitamins build up over time and block some of the pain you feel.

Your descriptions appear to suggest trigeminal autonomic cephalgia or trigeminal neuralgia with autonomic phenemenon. Seeing an orofacial pain specialist or neurologist is advised.
m not a physician but this sounds slightly similar to trigeminal neuralgia, which is inflammation of the trigeminal nerve causing facial pain and pain around an eye. the fact that it radiates and you feel heat and numbness sounds like nerve pain to me. this is not a life threatening condition, but it can be very painful. a lot of patients benefit from taking the anti seizure drug neurontin because it also acts as a nerve pain reliever.
