Avatar n tn Hi, i have a dry red area on the head of my penis. I'm not circumcised. It has been like this for maybe 4mths and was probably caused by not using a condom. In the past i treated it with Canestan cream and it stopped it drying out but was occasionally itchy. It never quit so i saw a doctor who put me on some tablets (sorry don't have name) and i had to apply triamcinolone acetonide lotion twice a day after showering.
Avatar n tn Hello, Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic corticosteroid used to treat various skin conditions and has been reported as better as compared to Fluocinonide. Side effects like hair loss, burning and skin blisters are common after using fluocinonide. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Don't use Triamcinolone anymore if you can help it as overuse can cause real problems. We read about it here all the time because it can thin the skin. I would try Psoriaflora cream or clear 100% aloe vera.
Avatar f tn Most definitely it's a lower percentage that have extreme hair loss such as I had. Even my doc's NP seemed shocked at my hair loss. I would encourage anyone that is currently taking TX or getting ready to start TX to not worry about the hair loss issue. Most of you will not have a big problem.
Avatar f tn Also in future, when you are waxing, apply wax in the direction of hair growth and wax should be tolerably hot. Then try to wax the hair out in a single strip as multiple strips may injure the skin more. After waxing apply ice(wrapped in a towel) and some calamine lotion on the skin which helps in soothing. You can also take some over the counter anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen after waxing. However, the best method of painless hair removal is by laser treatment.
Avatar n tn use that minoxidil if you are satisfied with that , mean while start using finasteride 1mg tablets this blocks DHT in your hair , which causes hair loss mostly...use multivitamins tablets should include biotin and zinc also...
Avatar m tn 5%w/v, Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1%w/v, Chlorhexidine HCl 0.5%w/v. The Muco-Aid is a bottle of liquid lotion, which weigh around 8g. I actually used few times in the window period of 12 weeks. Probably few days before testing too, even a day before testing. I cannot remember the exactly when did I put the lotion in my mouth for ulcers. I have read somewhere that steroid might delay antibodies production of HIV making the test result not accurate. In this case is Triamcinolone Acetonide.
Avatar n tn Thinks its a waste of his time, so I went to a skin clinic and they suggested it was a hair follicle problem. They recommended very expense laser hair removal treat, which of course they offer. Added some pictures, Please and advise would be great. Had theses all my life, 33 years of hiding most parts of my body. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2785/4049528167_55d43fbd83_m.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2524/4050273730_3daee3c269_m.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.
Avatar m tn i think im having a allurgic reaction to triamcinolone lotion,im getting tingling sensation around my mouth and left side of face and ithcing like crazy but also difficulty breathing.
Avatar n tn It is defined as recurrent, non-scarring type of hair loss, most likely caused by autoimmune processes. The pathogenesis is probably T-cell mediated; occurs in genetically predisposed individuals. Clinical manifestation includes non-scarring, non-inflammatory, patterned alopecia; one or many round-to-oval bald patches; exclamation point hairs (i.e. hairs tapered near proximal end) often present; most commonly occurring in the scalp, but possible in any hair-bearing area.
Avatar m tn Intense and frequent scratching may lead to patchy hair loss if this results to pulling out hair from the area. But the evidence is not very strong. If a diagnosis remains elusive, a complete physical examination and a referral to a rheumatologist may help. A skin biopsy may also be necessary.
Avatar f tn I decided to take her to a different allgerist for a second opinion. At this point she was placed on Zyrtec 5mg BID, Orapred 15 mg q daily x 5 days and Triamcinolone cream BID. The plaques were beginning to get better and I have seen some encouraging results regarding them. However, 2 days after finishing the Orapred, she has developed an extremely itchy rash from her neck almost to her knees. The rash is slightly raised and red.
Avatar m tn As I had previously experience of psoriasis, I thought I may help it with triamcinolone cream. After using triamcinolone, I didn't have the itch but once I stopped using it, the itch would come back. I injected triamcinolone (1/2 ml in two points) under skin (1-2 mm depth). The itch went but the area remained little red for about 2 weeks. Then the area turned into whiter or brighter (which was visible only in sunlight).
Avatar m tn I used to have long thick luscious hair and even though my hair loss seems to be the same, my hair has visibly thinned over the past year. I do feel fatigued at times( might be due to stressful education), and I have always had trouble with memorising.
Avatar n tn Shampoo i use is suave FF baby shampoo. I have a big 1 pound tub of triamcinolone .1% ointment but rarely need it since I lotion after shower with Curel fragrance free. How are you now?
Avatar n tn The breast itching and hair loss do not seem to be related. You could consult your dermatologist for your hair loss problems. Let us know what your doctor advises and also post us if you have any doubts. Regards.
Avatar m tn I tried sarna anti itch lotion and it seemed to get worse. I went to emergency and they said it was contact dermatitis and perscribed hydrocortizone cream that did not work and I went back. The rash was looking a bit different and they thought it was a fungal rash and perscribed atarax, clotrimazole cream usp, 1% and triamcinolone acetonide cream .01% I used that and put vasaline on top of it and it went away.
577507 tn?1218265629 Hi, This could be an allergic reaction to soap/shampoo, reaction to hair colouring product or to hair products. Have you tried anything new or switched over brands in the recent past? Allergy is caused by an oversensitive immune system, which leads to a misdirected immune response. It can present with itching, burning and appearance of bumps. Treatment is with anti-histamines like Cetrizine/Loratididne etc. you can apply a menthol-based cream/lotion on the scalp to cool the area.
Avatar m tn Hi, in 2005 I switched from roll on deodorant to spray on deodorant and I got a rash in my armpit that itches so bad I HAVE to scratch it and it gets all red and stinky and I can litterly pull my underarm hair out by the clump with just a little tug and the only thing that with make it go away is spraying on some tinactin.
Avatar f tn Hi there... some here have mentioned having good results from the steroid ointment...Triamcinolone. Hope that helps..
Avatar n tn If your thyroid gland is overactive or underactive, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment thyroid disease. Hair loss may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance. Correcting the hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss. Many women notice hair loss about 3 months after they've had a baby. This loss is also related to hormones.
Avatar n tn which is a male pattern baldness and is genetic (considering my father also suffered from hair loss) and/or hormonal in nature. She said and I had read as well that one main cause of hair loss is stress. She recommended a shampoo, Biotin capsule and a 5% Minoxidil scalp lotion to taken over a period of one month. The only thing I could identify as main culprit of this is (physical) stress.
Avatar n tn A lot of hair loss but mine was thick also. No itching of the scalp but does has that burning feeling. I have no ideal of what you can do to stop the scalp itching. My hair is very dry and the last 6 weeks I am washing it every other week. Sounds gross I know but it's not oily when I do wash it. The only thing I found helped with the dryness is a glossing polish with aloe and oils. Rub it in after washing and your hair is not so dry and feels good.
