Avatar n tn So since yesterday, my GP replaced the Co-codamol with Tramadol (50mg) and Paracetamol (500mg) to take regularly (at least 3 times a day, more if needed) and so far the pain seems slightly better (not great but better!). Above is just my own experience and not a medical advice for anyone to follow! Please talk to your doctor or Pharmacist first.
1909342 tn?1321993880 I am concerned, when to start taking Tramadol again or going with the combination of Ibuprofen and Paracetamol instead, since Ibuprofen also has an effect on inflammations. Am I taking to much? What would be appropriate here and how much would be 'healthy'?
Avatar f tn I have been on the following for around 8 months which was prescribed to me by my doctor. 8 codipar a day (2 tabs - 4 times a day, 500 mg paracetamol and 30 mg codeine) also I a taking 8 tramadol a day 50mg tabs 2 tabs 4 times a day. I had a phone call from another doctor at my practice saying that I should not be taking both co diaper and tramadol together as they are both opiates. How should I best reduce the dose? And is it correct I should not take them both?
Avatar f tn t working, there is something else that is regularly given to addicts for up to five days, called Tramadol, and in conjunction with Paracetamol. Maybe this could be the answer for your pain? Eugenol (oil of cloves) in some form is usually used by the dentist. Here's a website that contains useful info on treating your dry socket. I'm sure you're dentist has given you a topical to treat your dry socket, and if not, you can ask him about Eugenol, for home use.
Avatar f tn Have you discussed this with your doctor?
Avatar f tn Hi, I take Tramadol for my chronic back pain. Initially my pain Dr. did not want to prescribe Tramadol for me since I take Effexor for depression. But after taking so many pain meds, and needing to try a new one, he agreed to let me try Tramadol slowly. The Tramadol has worked well for me, and luckily I didn't have any problems with the combination of drugs. Actually the Tramadol has really helped my mood ( I think because of the snri). So I have started to taper off the Effexor.
1830782 tn?1318496076 t get my head out of a fog and felt dizzy and sick. Took 1/2 a pill a week later and had similar although lighter symptoms and now have it down to 1/4 of a tablet. How is that helping? Don't think it is. Probably won't ask for it again. It was suggested to go along with the Volteran but will just put up with the pain.
Avatar f tn Paracetamol has weak anti-inflammatory property and is generally not classified as a NSAID. People not tolerating NSAID, do well on paracetamol. However, do ask your doctor.
Avatar n tn ve seen a lot of patients (im a nurse) be prescribed tramadol and paracetamol together - or tram and a NSAID - but never tram and an opiate. Be careful.
1688492 tn?1346364370 I have been taking tramadol for over 6 months now due to RLS. It's the only medicine for pain that don't make me sick. Is it ok to take it? Does anyone know or been on it? Thanks!!
Avatar f tn He was feeling alright the whole day, until now, (11pm the next day). Gave him paracetamol 500mg with tramadol 50mg and rubbed the ointment around his chest area but he still couldn't sleep and couldn't move much because of the pain. I have no experience with chest pain before and not sure what else to do to help ease his pain. Please advice. It's really worrying me to see him in so much pain - even after 2 visits to the hospital.
Avatar f tn 22wks, had surgery last week, I've been taking a tramadol at night to help with the post surgery pain when lying down and normal paracetamol during the day. I feel bad taking it but my dr assures me paracetamol has been considered safe during pregnancy for 50yrs and tramadol for 20 or 30yrs. Not sure about viccodine but if it was prescribed I'm sure the dr would have weighed up the risks and benefits and explained any side effects.
Avatar m tn This is because taking too much can cause serious problems. With tramadol and co-codamol ( paracetamol with codeine), these are often used to relieve painful conditions where paracetamol alone is not sufficient, such as for muscular pain or nerve pain. The presence of side effects will depend on the dosage and time you took the medicines. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn Thanks for the reply the back pain went away after 2 weeks but since then i have had really bad pain going down my leg from my hip to my ankle and its really pain full and hard to walk without moaning in pain ,sometimes it sounds like iam in labour, ive been to the hospital and they said it was muscle spasm and prescribed me dazepam ,iburofen and paracetamol, these lasted 2 hours then the pain came back so i went to the doctors he said it was siatica and proscribed me slow releasing tramadol , a
Avatar f tn A doctor told me that it’s safe to do and that Tramadol actually works better when taken with Paracetamol. The fatigue you mentioned when you stop taking it is likely to be at least partially due to the letdown you typically get when you suddenly stop taking it after your body has become used to it.
Avatar f tn I cannot sleep longer than for 2 hours. I was given Tramadol and Arthrotec for the pain. I now take Arthrotec and paracetamol after suffering a vomiting fit. I am tired of waiting to receive an appointment to see the hospital neurosurgeon to whom I was referred. I was told to get an ambulance back to hospital immediately if I became incontinent or numb in that area. What does '...
Avatar n tn 30am when i couldnt go to sleep i was going to give in and take a tablet but i didnt and im glad i didnt now but need to no how long do i tappering for and for wot amounts??
Avatar f tn Hi. I take it you've not tried plain old paracetamol + ibuprofen to see of that'll help? If you have a history of addiction it's not 100% safe to have what can be an addictive med. However it MUST NOT be taken with alcohol so if you do take tramadol and it helps the pain and you don't drink then that's great. But if you slip up then you must stop and find another way for the pain.
Avatar f tn Wow I've never seen Paracetamol mentioned on here, it's always Tylenol lol. I'm from the UK and its all I take. Paracetamol is safe in pregnancy but they do advise to take the minimal effective dose and for the shortest time.
Avatar f tn Do any of you lovely ladies suffer with SPD? I spoke to my doctor last week and he said all I can do is take paracetamol and rest. Paracetamol doesn't even kind of touch the pain, and I work in a shop so I'm on my feet all day. I've got a midwife appointment on 3rd March and then she will potential refer me for physio. Just wondering if there's anything anyone else can suggest trying in the meantime?
Avatar f tn The pain killers I take are hydrocodone 10-325 up to 4 times a day, tramadol 100mg x 4, and baclofen 20mg up to 3 times. I am taking the GI DR did not seem concerend with any of these meds, as I thought he maybe. I have already had my gallbladder take out about 6 years ago due to gallstones. He did say that it could be something going on with my bile duct since I had gall stones when my gallbladder was taken out. Any thoughts?
