two weeks ago i had causal oral sex with a man it only lasted a few seconds but 4 days latter i developed a fever and headache, the day latter i developed a sore throat and had pain swallowing, this was controlled by paracetamol and ibuprofen. after 4 days it wasnt getting better and i had developed exudates on my tonsil, i also had developed a rash on my tongue red blood spots down the side of my tongue that fits with step throat, i was given pen v by the doctor and with 36 hours i was better.
I have pretty much gotten over all this but now again i get things that make me think back to the HIV scare ever since January i have been getting muscle aches and joint pain and clicking joints all over my body along with ulcers on my tongue and now i am getting spot like things on my face which are not zits they are like little sores that scab over does this sound like HIV symptoms or am i reading too far into it?
I honestly don't know. I had sex with somebody while drunk and I don't think we used a condom. I can't ask him as I don't have his info. Classy eh ! 2 weeks after I get 6 ulcers on my tongue that just won't go, my tongue feels on fire. I read that mouth ulcers where a symptom of ARS and I freaked out.
Are they? I know I need to test and I will but these ulcers are worrying me a lot.
m 35 weeks today, the past few weeks my tongue has developed these little ulcers.. ALL (ob, family and dentist) my doctors say they are normal with pregnancy and will go away on their own..
How many other mama's are going through this? & is there something you do aside from watching what you eat, to help?

5 months for HIV, syphillis and herpes all negative. Doctor presribed steroid paste for tongue. When I take it the ulcers on the boarder of my tongue go away only to return a few days later. I am confident I am HIV negative but would like to find out what is causing these ulcers. If you are able to find out please let me know.
I got my tongue pierced about a year and half ago, but I have suddenly got a lot of ulcers in around my mouth and my tongue and gums are swollen and i just wanted to know if that had anything to do with my tongue piercing. my tongue piercing looks pretty normal apart from the fact that my tongue is swollen and the end of it is numb and funny feeling as if i've burnt the to of it.

1 day later I had tingling testicles and it burned slightly to urinate, I also started to have ulcers on cheek lining and a white tongue. As the days went by the tongue got worse but the tingling and ulcers got better. My cheek lining became swollen and rubbery. 4 weeks post event and I have not experienced fever or rash but the most alarming thing is that the fat on one cheek bone has almost disappeared and my face has got thinner.
Though, I was wondering if anyone else has had sores appear on their tongue? Just last month, I was washing my hands and noticed I had three red areas on my tongue: two on the tip and one a little to the side. I was reading online that ulcerative colitis can cause sores to appear in your mouth and didn't know if this was a cause for the sores to appear. Now, I have one on the tip of my tongue that just appeared yesterday and today it has a white center.
gave me meds and it all cleared in a week but now I still have loose stool and reacurring ulcers and my tongue is crazy looking giraffe tongue and it hurts and looks hairy and yellow marks,no appetite till this day and its week 10/11 I got tested 4 weeks and it was negative she got tested 3time at 6 weeks after she cheated negative but one of the test the back round didnt clean but it said negative but they redid it to make sur and I took another test at 7 weeks negative ....

I'd be careful using L-Lysine ointment on your tongue. It's meant for sores
and ulcers. How long have you had the sore on your tongue? Is the sore
on top of your tongue or underneath your tongue? Just wondering.

I, too, have had a slight fever, but severe pain from ulcers on my tongue and on the roof of my mouth. The pain is from the tip of my tongue to the root, palate, throat, and even to my right ear. An MD glanced at my mouth and said I have a few ulcers and offered only some numbing mouthwash. I want to know why this is happening, not put a bandaid on it.

This helped for about 3 days but then the pain has come back. I have also gotten a few more ulcers to my tongue and some of my gums are swollen. I have lost 9 pounds since the start of this b/c of the pain to eat. Another symptom that I am thinking is related is that I have gotten a severe area of inflamation around my anus. Does hemorrhoids cause this??
Labs for ANA,B12,CBC,BMP,LFTs were all normal. CRP was 3.5(elevated). Md was not concerned about these.
Oral ulcers have various causes, and only a small fraction of those is syphilis-related. Extragenital syphilis ulcers (like on the tongue) are not too common, and syphilis is uncommon in developed countries (not sure where you had your risk) and 5 weeks TPPA is quite reliable. I wouldn't worry too much.
But, if there is no way for your partner to test, you should retest in 2-3 weeks.
