Avatar f tn Hi all, back at the beginning of April this year I had a sore throat, I looked and saw I had a few ulcers/blisters in the back of my throat, I have never had these before, and they weren't there previous to that, I had just come off Omeprazole which I had been taking for acid reflux, and had been on them for 9 weeks.I had also just come off Yasmin contraceptive pill that i had been taking for around 8 years.
Avatar f tn Now i have painful tiny clear blisters near my tonsils. I also have white on the back sides of my mouth and white tongue. The medication is gradually helping. Can you tell me what is occurring? Can This be an indication of something worse occurring?
Avatar f tn Anyone else have blisters on their tongue? At first I thought it was just something sour that I ate but then it takes them about a week to heal and then a new one comes out somewhere new. They look white.
Avatar n tn I also have enlarged papillae on the back centre of my tongue and elongated ones with what look like blisters at the end on the sides of my tongue. I have enlarged tonsils with blisters and blisters on the tonsillar pillars. All these symptoms persist and now I have conjunctivitis with what look like little blisters inside my lower eyelids which are red and sore looking inside. When I wiped myself I also bleed a little until recently I did more then a little. And never don't anything back their. If you can please keep me updated. I just went to get tested for herpes.
Avatar n tn Hi I am 68 years old I have been celibate now for about 12 years, but a few weeks ago these ulcers or blisters not sure what they actually look like, but they start out tingly and itchy. I have been wondering if they are caused by toilet paper. I bought one of the cheaper recycled toilet papers and that is when my problems began. I have been using Caneston and I even used natural yoghurt, which helps but the problem keeps on returning.
Avatar m tn Hello, Ive been suffering from constant tongue ulcers for about 3 months. I was referred to an ENT which diagnosed me with apthous ulcers, she cautorized(sp) them on two seperate visits and gave me a steroid shot. none of which has helped. My tongue constantly feel like someone scrubbed the top of it, my lips and skin are constantly dry and very itchy at night and my upper lip spasms at times. I have to go back in two weeks, but this issue is still unclear.
Avatar f tn I asked my ob dr what he thought it could be and without even looking at it he said the only blisters on the tongue he could think of was herpies tis was rather insulting to me so I didn't push the issue....I have worked in a number of medical clinics and now what herpies look like. I read something on another persons page that said it could be cankersore, but I always thought that cankersores were small and had a yellowish tint to them.
4291222 tn?1352310760 Hi I wonder if anyone can help I am nearly 2 years into my kidney transplant since stopping on predinislone I have in the last 5 months had a continual succession of mouth ulcers especially under the tongue. Avatar m tn I am done with 21 injections but the side effects such as acute mouth ulcers and tongue blisters just dont seem to fade! Its pretty severe at times. Is this is a common side effect? If so, what can be the cause? I have tried a more than million gels, but nothing seems to cure other than the one that makes my mouth numb for an hour or so. Secondly, fatigue which is observed suddenly, is actually bad and makes me lie on bed the whole day!
Avatar f tn his blisters never turm into ulcers they just heal.
Avatar n tn Hi burda, Yes your tongue and globus problem can be an association to a Herpes simplex. Concurrent infection causes immunodeficiency/nutritional deficiency which can cause ulcers in oral cavity.
691864 tn?1298922797 Today, I was driving with my dogs and my children noticed that our Irish Wolfhound had these ulcers on the very tip of his tongue. It's like a cluster of little white, water blisters about the size of 1/2 dime.It looks like a cold sore on his tongue. He is also drooling more than normal. These were not present earlier this week. He is eating, drinking and behaviorally appears normal. He does not appear lethargic.
Avatar f tn Okay...this is not even mildly humourous anymore. When my tongue first started burning, I thought it was freezer burn from eating ice cream. Obviously, now that weeks more have passed, that's not the case. I kid tongue stings all the time and it is so painful. I hate the litocain. It seems worse to not feel your mouth at all! I have 5 more weeks to go. Is there any chance this tongue thing will go away?
Avatar n tn I recently developed extremely painful spots (sores) inside my lower lip, and on the side of the very back of my tongue. I'm not sure the tongue is related because that particular experience is familiar and may be coincidental. I just woke up from a nap and found a clear painless blister on a new spot inside my lower lip. I curiously but gently bit on it and it popped. That location is mildly sore at this time. The other spots, about five of them are extremely painful.
Avatar n tn It is an awful thing to 'have to put up with' I also have ulcers on the back of my tongue and roof of my mouth, this cannot be normal.
Avatar m tn i guess ill have to wait for the next outbreak to appear or can i have test even without an ulcers? i really dont see any blister during those ulcers appear. from what i read blisters comes first... thats why im confuse and the white patches i mention is only at my throat. my lips and tongue dont have those during that time..
Avatar n tn Viral infections - the most common one that causes mouth sores, drooling, and foul breath is a serious infection called calici. This can cause ulcers on the gums, tongue, lips, roof of the mouth, throat, and lungs. This is one of the two most dangerous viral upper respiratory infections. It commonly leads to bacterial infections that require antibiotics to cure. Pneumonia is also a somewhat common complication. Most cats will stop eating when suffering this infection due to mouth pain.
Avatar n tn Some do not manifest symptoms, but when signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Although the infection can stay in the body indefinitely, the number of outbreaks tends to decrease over a period of years. HSV-1 can cause genital herpes, but it more commonly causes infections of the mouth and lips.
Avatar n tn I've told my doctor that a few times already I’ve gotten on my tongue, gum, and inside my lower lip one or two blisters that last about 2 weeks and are very painful but my doctor has indicated these are mouth ulcers produced by stress or some other factors. I’ve never had anything that looks like a cold sore. My question to you is how can know if I have HSV-1 in my mouth since I’ve never had cold sores with the exception of the mouth ulcers.
Avatar f tn -) I keep getting really painful ulcers on my tongue, they are little white blisters, I assume they are ulcers and they make it difficult to eat and drink sometimes but whenever I get this I get swollen glands in my neck that are sore as well and often a sore throat. This has been going on for months and months, they will come for a few weeks and go away and come back again.
Avatar f tn I only have 13 weeks left of treatment--thank God. The sores inside my mouth are reminiscing of ulcers (white blisters). Someone else mentioned magic mouthwash which does ease the pain. Hang in there and good luck! Happy Holidays. Peace.

250701 tn?1320978365 I have been going thru he@* with that for about the last month or so myself. First it was just my tongue sore. Foods burned, drinks burned, tongue actually felt swollen. Then it just got worse and worse and had a horrific sore throat. Only thing I could eat was itailian ice or ice pops. Doc did strept test (after 3 days it was negative) then they did a yeast throat culture last friday. Had me on magic mouthwash and Nystatin for a week. Yeast throat culture was also negative.
Avatar n tn I've had the same problem with my tongue for the past 2 years now. The tip of my tongue burns most of the day and I keep getting ulcers on the side of my tongue. Sometimes it's really bad and sometimes it's bearable. My tongue has become so sensitive that I have a hard time eating ketchup, vinegar salad dressing, citruses and even soda can trigger it. Also my tongue feels dry all the time. I've been to quite a few doctors and they have not been able to help.
Avatar n tn In conjunction with her teeth issues, she also developed these blisters, or aphthous ulcers in her tongue and cheeks. The combination of both these conditions -the toothache and the ulcers- had been driving her crazy for a while. They (to refer to the parents, I live away) changed densits, and the teeth problems improved. Now her teeth have healed, but she still has to get her new bridge (which has been deferred to wait for her ulcers to heal).
Avatar f tn Try changing your tooth paste for mouth blisters. For the Ulcers on throat, try having very light foods during night. Drink plenty of water. The throat Ulcers are caused due to post nasal drip and acidity. So, control the nasal drip by taking steam before you sleep and to control acidity take pan 40, Sompraz 40 in the morning before bf and when you're sleeping make sure your bed is alleviated on the head side using three pillows.
Avatar n tn I also found huge blisters on the back of my tongue--it seems to be a little itchy and a little painful but nothing really seriously concerning that would make me rush off to the ER. I thought maybe it was an allergic reaction but I took Benadryll and they are still there. I worried that they are a symptom of an STD but I can't find any information that this may be linked to any of the STD's I have looked at. It's freaking me out though and Im going to try to get into the Doctor's tomorrow.
Avatar n tn Mon took her to dr office was told er was wrong she had fever blisters in mouth. Walked into dr office again on wed w/ child screaming in pain and made dr take another look.
