occasional burning pain in stomach, no other GI problems, good appetite, numbness in tip of the tongue, nausea, mild dizziness and headache, mostly like heavy head feeling, flushing of upper chest and neck. All blood work is normal; MRI of the brain negative, mildly enlarged thyroid with bilateral non vascularized nodules, positive for thyroid antibodies but normal thyroid function, negative for sjongren, lupus, RA, cholesterol ok, glucose level ok. I am waiting for a GI appt.
Since then, I have developed symptoms that are very new to me....like electric-shooting headaches, ear fullness, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, chest vibrations, occassional muscle twitching in arms and legs and anxiety attacks. Since mid February, I started having numbness, twitching, tingling of my legs and arms and lots of leg pain. I had blood work done when this all started..everything was normal.
Everything but the left numbness resolved in about 2 hours. Since then I have had numbness on the left side of my body including tongue. My left ear feels "full" and my walk and speech have been affected. I went to the ER and stayed in the hospital overnight. My bloodwork came back normal and cardiac and vascular disease was ruled out. I did not have a stroke. My carotid ultrasound looked normal. At Chest CT and Chest Xray was normal. A head CT was normal. An MRA was normal.
I do sometimes experience some burning on the right hand side of my face and tongue numbness. On occasions the tongue numbness is really bad but usually not long lasting but of late often my tongue on the underneath but just feels numb or like pressure or tight sensation. When this occurs I seem to have some type of head pain but more like a random shooting pain.
THIS NUMBNESS WAS ALWAYS VARIABLE. IT WAS NEVER THE SAME. IT ALWAYS CHANGED. SOMETIMES IT WOULD BE NEXT TO NOTHING WHILE AN HOUR LATER I COULDN'T FEEL ANYTHING.
At the moment, my right lip and left side of my tongue are seemingly permanently numb, while recently (probably two to three days ago), parts of my right leg have started to get numb randomly. If I stretch it during the night, by the morning the numbness is usually gone. The numbness comes when I'm lying down.

The two together could be a few things but the facial numbness can be anxiety related as can the chest pain and feeling your heart racing....if you get migraine and it panics you causing other symptoms the chest pain may bring back the fear of what your mother went through...thus a panic attack but your doctor needs to be told just to rule out anything else you could take anti-anxiety meds and migraine meds for severe migraines..... best wishes and i feel for you ....
This is accompanied by simultaneous ipsilateral (same side) numbness of the tongue. This numbness is caused by compression of the second cervical root (C2) in the atlantoaxial space.

My daughter had was was diagnosed as a migraine 5 days ago that was followed by some tongue numbness on the sides of her tongue. The head pain is gone now but the tongue numbness is still present 3 days later. Dr initially thought it was an alergic reaction to the migraine meds. They are out of the system now and her tongue is still numb. She has had 2 ct scans read by neurologists and they say migraine. Not sue what the cause of the tongue numbness is????
properly, I have numbness and tingling in my half of my chin, cannot feel teeth 1-4, I had numbness in my tongue as well but just for few days. At least I had to sign paper that if they remove it I will not go to court to them, they said that nerve was damaged and it could heal or it could be permanent. I think it is called paresthesia. Anyway having head aches since that 6 weeks, on paracetamol all the time and it seems I have to have another 2 wisdom done because getting gums infections.
ive got a chest pain right in the center of my chest an inch to the right almost center of my man pecks. a sort of sharp pain occurs when i push my chest out or kinda move my right arm...i just had a bike accident and i kinda hurt my spine and also i just had a surgery on my tongue soo if that has anything to do with it i dont know but for the meanwhile im going to sit it out and see if it goes away. Does anyone have any suggestions or information on what and how to may treat this.
Yesterday afternoon I started to have mild chest pains, headache, numbness in my arms/legs, dizziness, and begain to sweat profusely. All of this came on as I was laying on the couch watching tv. I decided that I may feel better if I took a cool shower, and after about 15 minutes the symptoms began to go away. Last night I had alot of difficulty sleeping and the chest pain seemed to worsen and spread to the upper left side of my back.
t know if this has anything to do with my thyroid, but last night i had this pulling feeling under my tongue and then numbness for my tongue and part of the right side of my face. This morning i had a stabbing sharp pain on the right side of my chest just below my clavical, lasted about 3 secs then went away. I have had a stress echo because i went to my regular pc before with papatations and the same kind of pain at times that is when he felt of my thyroid and sent me for a ultrasound.
But sometimes I do get some pain.. I hope this is making sense. There has only been two occasions where the tongue numbness has been severe enough to prevent me from talking.
So why am I getting migraines?
The tongue thing is happening more often (tightness or funny feeling on underside of tongue.
Can I prevent them?
Is the tongue numbness something to be concerned about?

I am experience some symptoms over a month and i had multiple tests without a result. I have chest pain especially in the rib cage which make it difficult to breath. It is more intense when i am in flat position. I am not sleeping well i am always tired and the last days i can't even get out of bed. I feel my limbs weak and tired. I am tired of eating or dressing. This kind of fatigue i have never been before so sudden.

I, personally, have had a block injection where the Dr injected into my muscle and I had jaw pain instantly (intense pain) and then numbness on that whole quadrant for almost two weeks. Your tongue and the roof of your mouth may feel that way because of the lack of "feeling" in your tongue, so the texture feels different. If it continues much longer, I would schedule a follow-up visit with your Dr for this reason.
palm, elbow, shoulder, chest, neck, cheek, eye, nose, lips, tongue and, throat. ( it ends in the middle of the tongue and throat and i could literally cut strait down the middle of the tongue and throat where its numb and where its not.) this all lasts about 10 to 15 minutes. And has accrued about 6 times from now from the month of April 2014. Also out of the 6 times it has happened all on the left side except once. 5times on left side, 1time on right.
Hey all. I'm 34 yrs old and I am overweight BMI 40. I have been having chest pain on my left side. It also shoots to my left armpit, side of left breast and I have numbness and tightness down my forearm into my hand. I went to urgent care on Friday and all I got was a high WBC indicating I have an infection somewhere! So I went to the ER and that dr, didn't seem to worried at all. Now it's Sunday and I still have pain tightness and heaviness.
Has anyone experienced tongue pain? Several months ago I was having pins/needles on the tip of my tongue and way back along the upper part of my throat. Thias subsided for quite some time and all of a sudden the other night I had pain along the bottom right side of my tongue. It felt so strange, not excruciating, just enogh to be bothersome. Last night I had the same pain, but acoss the entire bottom and all the way to the back of my tongue - almost made me feel like I was going to gag.
