Avatar m tn About your testosterone, goto your doctor and have a blood test done to check you testosterone level. Its very easy and they can also do other tests to see if everything is in check. Remember, gender roles were created by humans....you are unique, like everyone else and take pride in that. If you need someone to talk to, feel free to send me a message. I feel for you man, and your only 21...once you get older its against the law for people to harras you, like at work etc.
Avatar m tn I had high free testosterone that appears to have resolved itself over time and it gave me acne, thinning hair, some unwanted, unusual hair and a deeper voice than most women. The acne and the unusual hair resolved but the voice and thin head hair never came back.
Avatar f tn I wonder if I should also use testosterone since post-menopausal ovaries produce mostly testosterone, some of which can be converted into estrogen. I hope this helps.
Avatar m tn While I don't believe I'm gay. Never have, never questioned it, I have been asked by people if I am, and my friends say its cause of my 'personality'. While I'm not sure exactly what they mean by that, I kind of experimented. I would record conversations I had with my friends and let me tell you how surprised I was. I always knew my voice wasn't quite as low as some of my friends, just thought it was because I was a late bloomer.
Avatar m tn I'm a 19 year old male. I have been a late bloomer in my puberty development: pubic hair didn't start growing until I was 13, voice didn't deepen until 14-15, and facial hair didn't start coming in until I was 17. Aside from that, I am tall, put on muscle easily, have a deep voice, and a normally sized penis. However, I haven't ever ejaculated to the best of my knowledge.
Avatar f tn Libido in both men and women is related closely to the level of testosterone in the blood (yes women have testosterone produced largely by the adrenal glands and men have so-called female hormones in their system). Testosterone level in the blood can be increased by a number of medications (androgel applied to the skin of the stomach, shots in the buttocks, etc.) all of which require a doctor's prescription.
Avatar m tn I have another question if you don't mind. Wheni WAS 17 I went to an urologist and he told me I have a dilated vein named varicocele I think. when touch the sack i feel very dilated vein on the left side - could this be a reason for small penis and hogh pitched voice I have? If that is the situation, I wonder if I do varicocelectomy - would I have a lower pitched voice?

Avatar m tn I have a testosterone level of 272. I was told that his is low, I generally wanted to see if I had hypogonadism because I strongly feel that I have a lot of the symptoms such as small testicles, lack of deepening of the voice, enlarged breasts (im male), ect. I did the blood work and it came back as negetive for hypogonadism which made me happy, but I was sad knowing that I have something wrong with me and I think its my testosterone.
Avatar n tn I`m taking testosterone injections during 3 months, but it doesn't work to me. Analysis shows high level of testosterone in my blood (5+ times more than reference) but I feel literally nothing. Same energy, same hair level, same voice, same stamina and strength level. I`m 22 yo, but I don't changing and still looks like 13-14 yo kid, maybe it has connection somehow. Why do my body ignore male hormones?
Avatar m tn Hoarseness in older men can be caused by low testosterone. As men age, the level declines. You may even feel a catch in your throat sometimes, like you have to clear it. There are some natural treatments to help boost testosterone and hormone treatments from a medical doctor. Most try the natural ones first. Good luck!
Avatar m tn I just got my ultrasounds of testicles and got to know that my balls are only 12 ml and 11 ml only, missing the average size of 15-25 ml. Adding to worse, my testosterone are on low scale as well, about 350 ng/dL. I did my fertility test which came out to be normal. Can my small balls be responsible for low testosterone levels in me? My pitutory is working fine with LH, FSH levels in range. What could be possibly my problem? Is TRT only option for me?
Avatar m tn m 20 but I still have a kid face, my facial hair is just lame, I have just a little hair on my armpits, my nipples are small, my voice sounds kind of kiddy and my body in general doesn't look manly, plus I've seen how kids just totally change the way they look and their voice in a really short time, I never felt such a drastic change on myself.
484508 tn?1290010544 Are they anxiety of something else perhaps? I was so concerned I got a blood test from my PCP to rule out testosterone issues, diabetes or thyroid....No results yet. The symptoms---feel like I am wired---sensation like I drank 10 cups of coffee, chest uncomfortable, voice kind of hoarse, constant urination, bowel movements frequently.agitation, morning fear., insomnia.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone I just joined here I found this forum on google. I was just having this problem here. I went to the urologist a month ago because I wanted to ask him some questions. I was asking him why my penis hasn't grown like other people and he made me do some blood tests. It hasn't grown at all since I was born. It's been the same way since then! He said I have very low testosterone and you probably were low when you were younger also. He said my level was something like 3.30.

Avatar m tn If a boy is age 16.5 with a height of 5'6" that hasn't changed in a very long time (and bone age that is normal to slightly advanced), can intervention with human growth hormone, aromatase inhibitors, and testosterone induce a growth spurt to 5'10" before fusion of growth plates? This case is an anomaly especially because rate of growth has been very slow throughout the lifespan, secondary sexual characteristics are delayed (i.e.
Avatar m tn My voice was deeper and kind of rougher sounding with untreated hypothyroidism. My voice change was due to mucin build up thickening the vocal cords. Voice changes can also occur with thyroid masses or thyroid nodules that stretch the laryngeal nerve.
Avatar f tn "SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin) is a "steroid" binding globulin which impairs male testosterone levels. SHBG increases naturally with age and coincides with the overall drop in testosterone levels after about age 43. Basically to sum things up SHBG "binds" to testosterone making testosterone less active in the body. It's a bit like if your trying to walk and someone pulls you from behind stopping you from walking - SHBG does a similar thing to testosterone.
Avatar f tn If you are a male, I would also have then check for testosterone levels (blood test). Low Testosterone can also do all kind of issues. Keep us posted.
Avatar f tn m looking for anyone who had something closely related whether it be a sertoli leydig cell (a little more common than mine but still rare) or any other type of testosterone secreting sex cord tumor. The precipitous drop in testosterone after surgery (Oct. 2006) has been tough biochemically and I would love to be in touch with any one who experienced something similar.
Avatar n tn Ever since that, I have not been able to grow additional hair on my beard, though I already had a decent amount, my shoulders did not widen, my wrists are tiny as they were at 14, my voice is not feminine but has not changed since I was 14, and my penis remains at 4.5 inches erect and has not grown ever since. Pubic and chest hair has remained exactly the same as it was at age 14-15. I have started to develop gynecomastia since I was 16 and it has become progressively worse ever since.
