Avatar f tn Yes if you're not allergic for as what I know
Avatar f tn Yes actually recent studies have shown babies introduced to nuts in the womb are less likely to develop nut allergies. With my 1st 4 yrs ago they were saying the exact opposite.
Avatar f tn Vitamin A is important in testosterone production. Good sources of this in a healthy diet are the dark green leafy vegetables, salmon, and red and orange fruits and vegetables. Salmon has an added benefit in that it reduces a chemical in the blood stream called sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). When testosterone encounters SHBG in the blood it is effectively mopped up and taken out of circulation. If you are trying to increase your testosterone there are certain foods you should avoid.

Avatar f tn I do remember reading somewhere that eating alot of nuts in your pregnancy can cause nut allergies but i dont know if this is true... it was on the internet.. I was never advised by my doctor to avoid them.. If its true though, my poor baby is screwed becasue I had peanut butter and almonds all through my pregnancy... it was difficult to eat meat at times so having nuts helped me stick to a more holistic diet.
Avatar f tn I actually read that one of the ways to keep a kid from having peanut allergies (if you don't have them) is to eat peanuts during pregnancy. Please check me on that, though. Just google "eating peanuts in pregnancy.
415684 tn?1257329318 OK ... just hear me out. I know of someone who swears that raw peanuts with the red skin will help raise platelets. AND potatoes will help raise white cells. Has anyone heard of this?
Avatar n tn Raw peanuts can carry a mold that makes you sick. In the future, besure they are blanched, roasted or boiled before eating them.
Avatar f tn Peanuts are not actually a true nut they are a legume (the same family as peas and lentils), but the proteins in peanuts are similar in structure to those in tree nuts so people who are allergic to peanuts can also be allergic to tree nuts, such as almonds, Brazil nuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, macadamias, pistachios, pecans, and cashews. It is probably best avoiding nuts altogether unless you definitely know for sure that you can eat them with no problems. Hope this is of help.
Avatar f tn Zinc mostly found in meats, dairy, and shellfish are a necessity for the body to produce and sustain testosterone. Testosterone is the key hormone that sparks sexual desire between both men and women. Also whole grains and beans, which most vegetarians eat a lot of can affect the bodies ability to absorb zinc. Pumkin seeds and pecans are good alternative sources of zinc. Lack of protein also mostly found in meat can affect your sex drive.
Avatar f tn I found out in 2019 I had low testosterone (0.6) and high SHBG (134), still same numbers as of June this year. Back in 2019, A doctor prescribed me AndrolGel. After a week or two into the treatment I had insane heart palpitations, high BP’s, dizzyness, sweating, headaches, the works pretty much. After a month or two of ER visits and doctors telling me it’s not the AndrolGel, I stopped it. Told me everyone has testosterone in their body speech. My dosage was 1 sachet of 2.5gm 1% twice a week.
1544053 tn?1328691992 Even though peanuts are not toxic for dogs, feeding peanuts as one of the main sources of protein in a dog's diet is a bad idea! A lick or two of peanut butter now and again is fine as a treat or snack. Don't forget peanuts have a lot of oil in them. Too many fats in a dog's diet can cause obesity or pancreas inflammation. However, dogs' teeth are not designed for fine grinding (as our back teeth are) and whole peanuts are likely to be swallowed in huge chunks.
Avatar m tn PART 4 Wine, According to a study printed in Nutrition Journal, vino could elevate your testosterone levels. In lab tests, researchers found that quercetin, a compound in wine, blocks an enzyme that causes the body to excrete testosterone, thereby increasing the amount of T circulating in the blood. Wine’s rich antioxidant profile also triggers nitric oxide production, which relaxes artery walls. This increases blood flow down south, creating feelings of sexual excitement.
Avatar n tn About testosterone, I was tested, and found out I had bound testosterone (testosterone that is chemically bonded to a protein called Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin) showing in my tests but I needed more free testosterone so my body could use it. My doctor recommended I take a stinging nettle root supplement (which unbinds testosterone). It worked, as my test later showed. Another interesting thing....I had been losing hair for a long time and could not figure out why.....

Avatar n tn I'd like to know what my blood test results may mean. I've taking diet pills (ephedrine/caffeine) for a few years. In last year my endurance has decline. About 8 months ago I started noticing Fatigue, memory problems, body aches and problems maintaining erections. I started taking pregnenolone and 7-keto DHEA thinking it would increase testosterone. I finally went to my doctor 2 1/2 months ago. He ordered blood tests.
1352010 tn?1276898375 I would have your son avoid peanuts completely and if you buy something that says made in a factory where peanuts are, I would not buy that either. They are a dangerous allergy.
Avatar n tn I can't find peanut butter that actually says "no salt" on the label. I bought Naturally More which doesn't list salt as an ingredient but does list roasted peanuts (I have no idea if these peanuts were salted) is this ok? What peanut butter do you all use?
Avatar f tn Hello Khalidws, Welcome to the Allergies - Food Community. I see you joined Med help recently. You say both you and your brother have allergies to nuts. I think you mentioned that your brother has allergies to peanuts and that both you and your brother have allergies to almonds. Nut allergies are particularly worrisome. If I were you, I would tell your brother not to eat any amount of peanuts or peanut butter. The problem with allergic reactions is that the reactions can and do get worse.
1013517 tn?1253216057 went to my OB today. Finally got to hear my little peanuts heart beat!!!!!!! Im 12 weeks 4 days!
893889 tn?1294276977 However these studies are peliminary, they have not been able to say how much is too much and such. So if you want to, yes avoiding peanuts since there is already an allergy in the family would reduce chances of allergy for baby.
