I used the cream Lamisil on my face before reading the instructions. Lamisil has the ingredient Terbinafine hydrochloride which I thought I needed for a condition I have but before I read the warning I used it. It states not to use on or near the mouth. After use I saw my lips get very white and after a couple of days it seemed like the top thin layer of skin came off: painless. I know its my fault for not reading the box but now my lips get very dry. They turn to an off-white color.
Immediately I started applying Lamisil (terbinafine) every morning till today. All the redness and everything else is gone, but if I look at the skin from the side, I can still see the "circles" (in slightly different skin tone) where the fungi was located... does it mean that I'll have to keep on applying the cream for longer till I don't see those circles?

FYI, terbinafine is Lamisil cream. Terbinafine is the generic name. Otherwise, you will have to see a doctor.

I used Lamisil AT Antifungal, Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1% Spray Pump for 7 days while waiting for 1% hydrocortisone cream and 1% Clotrimazole Lamisil cream to be delivered. I saw no change with the Terbinafine Hydrochloride. Once delivered, about a week ago, I then used the hydrocortisone and clotrimazole cream for 6 days, applying the hydrocortisone first, allowing to dry, and then the clotrimazole.
Also wear cotton underwear and change them twice a day and do not share other people’s towels. Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment. Terbinafine oral is not effective against tinea versicolor. However Terbinafine solution (Lamisil) is quite effective in treatment of tinea versicolor. Please discuss this with your doctor and you can get prescribed oral treatment like itraconazole, ketoconazole or fluconazole.

He uses Lamisil spray on his and it seems to stop the itching but not the spreading. What should we do? He has also had a kidney-pancreas transplant over 6 years ago and is on numerous medications.
