i had red, itchy, swell penis forehead last year & i gone to doctor and he tested me for HIV 1&2 antibodies, VDRL, HERPES simplex virus 1&2 IGG-IGM & TSH and all test came normal (negative). Then my doc told me that it is candidal balanoposthitis & he gave me fusidic acid cream with terbinafine cream and some tablets for infection & infection cured 70% but itching never gone.
Topical Terbinafine cream did not help doctor is treating with Ketoconazole 2% shampoo and topical Clindamycin 1%. I may be noticing a 10% increase in my normal gray follicles at two weeks treatment. I would love to send a picture.
Ive had 2 biopsy not cancer. Dr thinking fungus . I was on antibiotics and am currently taking Terbinafine 250mg and Ketoconazole 200mg pill and cream and wash . I recently had a tooth pulled and gum filled with puss. maybe that was hindering my healing. so frustrated and worried.
Consulted on phone (as I stay in Zambia) with a Dermatologist and gave all the medicine history who advised for 10 day course of Itraconazole-200mg (1-0-0), Fluconazole-150mg(1-0-0), Hydroxyzine-10 mg(1/2 morning n 1/2 evening) and apply Luliconazole lotion. Today is 4th day have no relief.
As of today, fullr peeled off areas is resurfaced with white layers full foread and foreskin, heavy itching and frequent urination continues.
These include topical antifungals like econazole (Spectazole) or oxiconazole (Oxistat) and oral antifungals like Itraconazole (Sporanox),Fluconazole (Diflucan) or Terbinafine (Lamisil)
Triamcolone acetonide is a more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone.It should not be used to treat fungal infections without consulting a dermatologist.

FYI, terbinafine is Lamisil cream. Terbinafine is the generic name. Otherwise, you will have to see a doctor.
Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels.Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment.
If the symptoms persist then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with ringworms near my groin area and on my penis. I've been taking Terbinafine tablets and applying terbinafine cream, and it's been slowly improving.
But I think the rash has spread to my fingers. The area between my fingers and near my nails is very dry and crusty, sometimes giving off a transparent liquid. There are small bumps on my fingers as well, and there's a constant urge to itch. Its been there for the past 3 days.
face, arms, back. My dermatologist gave me Lamisil cream with oral terbinafine during 2 weeks. My rash has almost disappeared. It came back 1 month after taking terbinafine. I have done a mycological examination 1 month after taking terbinafine but it was negative. Also, oral griseofulvin during 3 weeks didn't work. My rash was spreading all over my body (70%). The physicians sayed it was eczema. The gave me diprosone and oral cortisone.
Is there any problem applying cream with terbinafine hydrochloride 1% and benzyl alcohol 1%(Terbest cream) or cream with ketoconazole 2% and beclomethasone dipropionate .025%(Toaf-B cream) on SCROTUM. Which is better? Is there any anti-fungal creams we should avoid on genitals?
I used Lamisil AT Antifungal, Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1% Spray Pump for 7 days while waiting for 1% hydrocortisone cream and 1% Clotrimazole Lamisil cream to be delivered. I saw no change with the Terbinafine Hydrochloride. Once delivered, about a week ago, I then used the hydrocortisone and clotrimazole cream for 6 days, applying the hydrocortisone first, allowing to dry, and then the clotrimazole.

I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
The derm did not think it was fungal but actually said it may be contact dermatitis, meaning something that was coming in contact with my skin was giving me an allergic reaction. She went ahead and gave me Synalar, a corticosteriod cream. I used that for about two weeks and the rash pretty much went away completely. However, after stopping the Synalar for a couple of days, the rash was back and worse than ever. So back I went to the dermatologist.

I feel that you should consult a dermatologist and get prescription for oral antifungals also as it will help in speeding up the process.

In addition you should keep the area dry and take some oral antifungals alongwith.

I have dry penis forehead & foreskin from last 3-4 years or more & skin become cracked because of dryness, i used vaseline.. then i used coconut oil. I feel burning & little pain on penis from last 3-4 years while having dryness.
Now before 4-5 months i had unprotected sex with my gf & my penis become red, itchy, sore,burning & smigma..
After that i went to doctor and she prescribed me Syntran (Itraconazole ) (Glenmark) 100 mg 4 capsules in a day and serakon (Wockhardt) cream to apply on infected area.For the first 1 month i took it on regular basis.I improved and it cured the disease but after few months it appeared again on the same area.After that i did the same thing and it got cured.But now this time it appeared again.Now i am went to doctor and he prescribed me the following:
terbicip Tablets (Terbinafine) (Cipla) ..
Then I went for a check up and the doctor prescribed me itraconazole 100 mg and terbinafine 250 mg oral solution and Luliconazole cream. Infection was cured completely. But now again it has appeared on my body. Specifically on my neck. I am having the same oral solution and using Clotrimazole topical cream. But it's not effective like before. Instead of being cured it's spreading. I am also using ketoconazole soap for bathing.

I recently had smegma , fungal infection and psoriasis, doctor prescribed me Terbinafine hcl 250mg and Ocan-B. I found out its a steroid cream i replaced it with Clotrimazole. Fungal infection and smegma is gone but one side of the penis goes grey, purple color at times, how can i cure this ?
