We know the tumor is in a slightly different area than it was originally. He is in treatment (Temodar for the second time) for the third recurrence of his tumor. We have always been told it is in an area where surgery has not been an option. The oncologist does say he believes it is a higher grade. We think he believes it is glioblastoma but he won't say that definitely without doing another biopsy.
Since the diagnosis of Glioblastoma grade 4 in August, my husband has had the tumor removed and completed the round of radiation and chemotherapy - temodar. Recently I have noticed him being very short fused and argumentative. The slightest thing sets him off as if he had been personally attack. I have also noticed depression setting in. I'm assuming this is all part of the treatment and diagnosis.
Just in case there are some dormient and inmature cells, I would do some chemo, you only have one chance to do this, so I myself would take the chemo, maybe hald doses will do it.
(I say apparently because more than five years have passed since her surgery, but who knows for sure if and when it will return.) She had aborted her chemotherapy after two sessions. The liver cancer apparently matastasized from the colon, although they found no cancer there. I know nothing about treating the other organs, but milk thistle is well known for its ability to cleanse the liver.
The treatment prescribed by your Oncologist is formulated to be the best for your specific case. Chemotherapy is always matched to the particular cancer to give the best results possible. A month ago my husband (41) had a tumor resection of a GBM in the left temporal/frontal lobe. He is still recovering from surgery and has begun cancer treatment (temodar& radiation) a week ago. He has a previous accident injury where he has struggled with neck pain for ten years. He has been on suboxone for probably 7 years now. He is currently taking his suboxone but is not getting any relief for his head pain.
Patient made decision to treat his anaplastic astrocytoma with surgery and Temodar only. No radiation! What is the prognosis for this 33 yr.old male.
I've been undergoing chemotherapy because I have lung cancer. I just found out I'm 8 weeks pregnant, and I had chemotherapy the first three weeks of my pregnancy.
Is there any type of chemotherapy treatment which would involve a shot to the abdomen? I'm not referring to the IP treatment, but simply a quick injection. Doesn't chemotherapy need to go into the veins? In the case of ovarian cancer, is there a topical chemo that can be applied & if so would that require surgery or an injection? My daughter in law is getting a weekly abdominal shot, supposedly for stage 2 ovarian cancer, but I'm not confident about this treatment.
I have been doing chemotherapy 18 out of 24 months. I am tired of doing it and wonder if I can take a break. My CA is 125.

She has many prognostic features which are favourable. Grade 1, ER positive, HER2 Negative, absence of extracapsular spread are all good features.
