I started the birth control le loestrin fe at the beginning of August (but I didn't wait until after my period came to begin taking the pills) I haven't had my period in those last four months. I had some weird symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness and discharge from late September to late October but not so much anymore. Is it normal to miss your period for that long after starting birth control or specifically lo loestrin fe?
My gf had not been on birth control for a year or more. She began taking Lo Loestrin Fe on Oct. 20, the first day of her period. The side effects (increased acne, severe anxiety and depression, emotional lability) were so severe for her that she decided to stop before the pack was done. I believe she took roughly 2 weeks and a few days of the pack (maybe 3 weeks total), then quit them because she was so miserable.
if you've been taking the same kind of birth control for a longer period of time, sometimes you won't bleed for a month. Depending on how old you are, your hormones might be skyrocketed and no withdrawal bleeding will occur when this happens. Also, stressing out about it or being stressed in general can cause you to have light to literally no period. I was on Loestrin for 1 1/2 years and I didn't get a period for 3 months one time.
I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
She gave me a prescription for Loestrin and said I could start and stop taking it any time. However, I forgot to ask her about when the best time to start on them is!
See, the reason why I'm not on any hormonal birth control is because they usually make me very bloated and moody. However, I'm willing to deal with that sort of thing if it's a very short term - maybe one week or so at the most.
Thanks! I'm really trying to get this breakthrough bleeding under control, as it is very annoying. I feel like I can't live a normal life...that is why I went on the pill. The loestrin was great for my period (just spotting), but I would spot from day 14 on! I will start FemCon when I finish this pack. Thanks for your thoughts!
Hello. I am a 16 year old girl, and I just recently started taking the lo loestrin fe birth control pill, but not for sex. I started taking it because I have had athletic induced secondary ammenhorea (loss of my period) due to when I started running and eating healthy. I currently run cross country and track, working out hard almost every day of the week. I am taking this birth control in hope of regulating my period back again.
Ok so I wasn't sure where to ask this or where to even begin to research this question. I've been on loestrin fe for i'd say the last 2 1/2 years. As of Oct. 9th, I stopped taking my birth control completely. Soo here is my question, how am I supposed to know when i'm suppose to get my period now? Should I get it around the same time of the month that I use to take the inactive pills?
I have yellow discharge 3 days before my period and before that I had brown discharge. I've been on loestrin 24 and idk what's goin on?!!??

The thing is, my period is late. I'm on Loestrin 24 FE. I forgot to take one about a week before this happened but I continued taking them at around the same time every day. I'm on the 3rd brown pill out of 4 and my period still just isn't here. I'm scared. I usually start on the 2nd brown pill.
BUT from March 20-30 I took antibiotics for a sinus infection. I was still on Loestrin but I stopped taking it March 29th because I hadn't had my period since January 5th and I was feeling pregnant. Anyway, I started bleeding April 1-4. I started my new pills Ortho on April 6th. Now I'm feeling VERY CRAMPY in my stomach. I've just read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill because it is low estrogen. I'm just wondering...
I have never missed a pill, but I guess I could just be being paranoid. Loestrin gives me VERY VERY light periods anyway, and I've heard that even skipping a period on Loestrin is normal. I have taken my first inactive pill today so I guess I just need to wait it out instead of jumping the gun with paranoia. Thanks so much for your reply!
s now February 21st which makes me 4 days late, I went do the OBGYN on February 8th and she took a urine sample and I found out I tested positive for chlamydia on February 10th, but I was treated for it with azithromycin the day I found out I had it. I was on Loestrin birth control for about 8 years but I stop taking it in December so I thought it would take my body a long time to adjust back to a normal period but I had a period that lasted 10 days in January.
I've been on loestrin 30 for over a year, and I started taking the pill to control mood swings and to get lighter periods. For several months my periods have been really light and only lasted 2-3 days, and this month I finished taking my pills on Friday 19th, and 4 days later I still haven't got my period. I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a few months, but I always took the pills at the right time, and very rarely missed one anymore.
Hello I started Loestrin 24Fe on March 9, 2008 the Sunday after my period started, but since I have not had a menstrual cycle and I am freaking out! I hear all of this stories regarding blood clogs in your brain because of no menstrual cycles with the pills, is this true?? I've also noticed that my sexual drive has decreased a bit and I've been a bit moody but not as bad as other's I guess!! I am also getting a lot of headaches....
I had my period September 21..and recently changed to Junel 3 months ago. I did not have a period in October and have taken several pregnancy tests. Then this past week when i was supposed to have my november period, i only had some brown discharge and its not consistent..just at some point everyday. I have not taken a pregnancy test since this has occurred. Not sure if im pregnant or not, because i know you can somewhat "psych" yourself out.
