Hi! Loestrin is a very low dose pill, and sometimes after you have been on it for awhile, the lining of the uterus gets very thin and bleeding becomes irregular.
OR this could be a one time only thing, especially if you missed a pill or took one late.
I would tell my patient to wait and see and if it happens regularly, you may need to swtich pills for awhile.

Im six days late for my period. Im on the birth control LoEstrin and my boyfriend and I use condoms so I didnt think I was pregnant. I took a test two days ago to be sure and it came out negative. Is there another reason that Im so late? Is it okay to be this late even on birth control? Could I actually be pregnant and the test was just a false negative?
I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
When you say I should start the next pack early, do you mean after the placebo week when the pack is completed, or after the blue active pills i should immediately start a new pack? Sorry, I was just a little confused. Thanks for your help!
I've been on my bc (loestrin fe) for about 7 months now. I've never missed a pill but occasionally take it at a different time. Between 7:10 and 7:30. I know that that's alright but I go on and off with periods. Sometimes it starts with the white pills and sometimes the red and sometimes not at all. I also have bleeding during my second week for about 3 days. Is this normal? Could I be pregnant? Should I be worried?
I was on loestrin 24 fe. I've been on it since I had my daughter in steptember of 2011. I have taken it everyday. Missed my period on the 15th took a test yesterday.. it was positive. So id be 6 weeks n 2 days.. Im worried that since I didn't know I was pregnant for sure until yesterday could the birth control pill affect my baby in any way?
I already had my period. So, I'm not late I just had a very very light period and it only lasted about a day and a half. Still a possibility?

I've been on birth control since I was 15 (now 23) for ovarian cysts. About a year ago I switched pills from Loestrin 24 fe to Lo Loestrin 24 fe. Within the year I think I've had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal?
before i started taking the pill i didnt have a period for about 2 1/2 years is this causing it? i really just need to know what to do im worried. thanks.
Ok, my best friend thinks she's pregnant or that there's a possibility. She says she doesn't feel sick or anything but has all the symptoms of early pregnancy except vomitting. Her temperature is 102. She used a regular thermometer. What do ya'll think?? Is she preggo even while using a regular thermometer? Is this an indicator? Oh, btw, her last cycle was March 28th and ended April 1 but was very light. She has regular periods but had recently been taking antibiotics.
Hi, I was transferring pills from cerazette to loestrin but i had unprotrotected sex in the 2 days gap between pills. My period hasnt arrived (a week late) is it possible that im a week pregnant? I took a pregnancy test 2 days ago that was negative but could it be too early to tell?
Hi! I'm traveling across the country to see my boyfriend this weekend, after not having seen him for two whole months. We're in a long distance relationship and we usually only get to see each other once a month for a few days at a time. Needless to say, this is a really special occasion for us! Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
The first month that I was on Lo Loestrin I got my period, very short and very light for about 2-3 days. This month I delayed my period by a week because I was going on vacation. So when it got to the placebo pill I just took a week of "active pills" from another pack. However, I just finished my placebo pills (inactive pills) for the month and I have not gotten my period.
Thanks! I'm really trying to get this breakthrough bleeding under control, as it is very annoying. I feel like I can't live a normal life...that is why I went on the pill. The loestrin was great for my period (just spotting), but I would spot from day 14 on! I will start FemCon when I finish this pack. Thanks for your thoughts!
yeah... I was taking this for about 6 months and had the same problem. except I had lots of breakthrough bleeding... except for the 5th month. I wish I knew why.. it scared me so I switched birth control and am now having worse problems with it...
My boyfriend ejaculated inside me last week for the first time since I’ve been on birth control (Lo Loestrin Fe, 1 year/4 months) and I’ve been stressed out ever since. I just completed my pill pack and started experiencing brown gooey discharge yesterday on the second to last brown pill and I don’t know if this is my period or could possibly be implantation bleeding.
II am trying to pin-point which of my female hormones is out of whack and causing, or at least contributing, to such terrible weekly Migraine headaches. Anyone know a good BC pill for individuals with severe, chronic Migraine headaches during ovulation AND menstruation?
I am 29 yrs old, average weight, in fair health, have never been pregnant, and started my period at age 11.
My gf had not been on birth control for a year or more. She began taking Lo Loestrin Fe on Oct. 20, the first day of her period. The side effects (increased acne, severe anxiety and depression, emotional lability) were so severe for her that she decided to stop before the pack was done. I believe she took roughly 2 weeks and a few days of the pack (maybe 3 weeks total), then quit them because she was so miserable.
I am now on Microgestin 1/20 Fe generic version of Loestrin. Anyway what does anyone know about this? Any major side effects I should be worried about...I was reading that it causes bigger breast, weight gain, and low sex drive...is that true for anyone else who has taken it?
I started the birth control le loestrin fe at the beginning of August (but I didn't wait until after my period came to begin taking the pills) I haven't had my period in those last four months. I had some weird symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness and discharge from late September to late October but not so much anymore. Is it normal to miss your period for that long after starting birth control or specifically lo loestrin fe?
