The first month that I was on Lo Loestrin I got my period, very short and very light for about 2-3 days. This month I delayed my period by a week because I was going on vacation. So when it got to the placebo pill I just took a week of "active pills" from another pack. However, I just finished my placebo pills (inactive pills) for the month and I have not gotten my period.
Hi! Loestrin is a very low dose pill, and sometimes after you have been on it for awhile, the lining of the uterus gets very thin and bleeding becomes irregular.
OR this could be a one time only thing, especially if you missed a pill or took one late.
I would tell my patient to wait and see and if it happens regularly, you may need to swtich pills for awhile.

I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
Im six days late for my period. Im on the birth control LoEstrin and my boyfriend and I use condoms so I didnt think I was pregnant. I took a test two days ago to be sure and it came out negative. Is there another reason that Im so late? Is it okay to be this late even on birth control? Could I actually be pregnant and the test was just a false negative?
I've been on my bc (loestrin fe) for about 7 months now. I've never missed a pill but occasionally take it at a different time. Between 7:10 and 7:30. I know that that's alright but I go on and off with periods. Sometimes it starts with the white pills and sometimes the red and sometimes not at all. I also have bleeding during my second week for about 3 days. Is this normal? Could I be pregnant? Should I be worried?
I have never missed a pill, but I guess I could just be being paranoid. Loestrin gives me VERY VERY light periods anyway, and I've heard that even skipping a period on Loestrin is normal. I have taken my first inactive pill today so I guess I just need to wait it out instead of jumping the gun with paranoia. Thanks so much for your reply!
Since it is my first month on the pill I worried I may become pregnant and read that Lo loestrin fe, if taken in doses of 2 pills after sex, and two pills 12 hours later, can act as a plan b type pill. Because of this, I'm on the sugar pills 3 days earlier than I should be and was wondering if this mischeduling can cause a pregnancy? Everything I read said the pill is very effective if taken correctly and no pills are missed or skipped.
I'm 23 and on birth control (Loestrin 24). Normally my periods are somewhat regular, but really light and short. Last month I didn't have one, but I did have some slight spotting before my period was supposed to come. This month my period also skipped.
I have no other symptoms of PCOS except some acne on my chin (but occasional breakouts are not uncommon for me, I have oily skin, plus an expired skin product and eating wheat with my allergy may have caused this).
I had a 20lb ovarian cyst removed in October 2010 and both my right ovary and Fallopian tube were removed. I had a period three days after surgery and then another very heavy painful period the next month. This month I had no period at all. I am on birth control as well. Has this happened to anyone? I'm very confused and scared. Please help!
I am 17. This is my 3rd month on birth control. I am sexually active with my boyfriend. We both have been tested and we are free of any STDs. I'm on Loestrin 24. My first month I had a few days of breakthrough bleeding but my period was on time. The 2nd month I had no breakthrough bleeding and everything was on time perfectly. Now this month, I've taken all of my pills on time except one, which I was two hours late.
I've been on loestrin 30 for over a year, and I started taking the pill to control mood swings and to get lighter periods. For several months my periods have been really light and only lasted 2-3 days, and this month I finished taking my pills on Friday 19th, and 4 days later I still haven't got my period. I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a few months, but I always took the pills at the right time, and very rarely missed one anymore.
I was on Lo Loestrin Fe for 10 months, and had to stop for 6 weeks because I had surgery and was required to take blood thinners. I got back on my birth control, and ended up not having a period at all. Usually I have light bleeding for 2 days on my pills, and I'm concerned I could be pregnant. My partner and I used condoms while I was off the pill, but I know accidents happen.
The first month I got my period on schedule and experienced no side effects. The second month I had breakthrough bleeding for about 2 weeks in the middle of the month, but no period on the placebo pills. The second month I had light brown spotting the 2nd week but again no period. Should I be concerned? I've heard that some women on this particular pill don't get their period, even my gynecologist warned me of this, but it still freaks me out!

I've been taking loestrin 30 for a year with no trouble but this month my period hasn't came (no pills missed). I visited the doctor and she wants me to come back for blood tests if it still hasn't came by tomorrow. I've took 2 pregnancy tests - both negative and i've now been off the pill 7 days (my break) and an extra 2 days after that.
I try and take the pills at the same time every night, but there are some times when I forget and either take the pill a couple of hours later or the next day. This past month my period was only about a day and a half long, if that. It was so light that I could have probably worn a panty liner and gotten through my entire period wearing that. I am worried I could be pregnant. My boyfriend doesn't use condoms, but he does pull out.
I take my birth control consistently at the same time every day and have never missed a pill and I also take Zoloft, but my doctors have said there are no interactions between the two. Is 5 days after unprotected sex too early to take a pregnancy test or should I just have faith in the pill and assume I am not pregnant?
