My smoothies include a helping of berries: blue, black, and strawberries with banana and grape juice. Not sure if the superfoods have causes this grainy stool, but I am concerned since it lasts for a couple of days.

Avatar n tn A bit too short huh? :) I should of added that even a fast metabolism doesn't help if you are insulin resistant as I found out. Plus my metabolism isn't optimal either but I'm losing weight albeit more slowly since I changed my diet.

Sometimes when you start eating much less than your body is used to, it goes in to panic mode and holds on to all of the fat and calories from the food you eat. All the B vitamins help with energy metabolism. There may be others beneficial to you as well. Another possibility is you are not burning enough of the calories that you are eating. You may be burning just enough to STAY at the weight you are now.

I weight the same in my 40's as I did in my mid teens, most of the time. I normally weigh about 180 and am pretty fit, but months of mania in India lead to extreme situations that landed me at 130 pounds. I am trying to see if my appetite changes and then my mood, or if my mood affects my appetite.
