Avatar f tn Congrats on your weight loss this year! I have to slightly disagree with the responses to do crunches. Not that doing crunches will do any harm, but ab work alone isnt enough to change your stomach. You arent going to see any kind of definition in your stomach if there is still a layer of fat covering your abs. And crunches don't burn enough calories to trim your stomach down either. Cardio will be more effective for trimming your waistline than crunches would be.
1216742 tn?1334152111 ve been bleeding for 3 weeks. Before my surgery I bled for 5 months non stop while being on the pill. I had my 6 months of medically induced menopause after my surgery and am just to take the pill every day now until I want to have kids. I was given the option to have another laparoscopy to see where I'm at 1 year after my surgery. But I've heard that more surgery won't really help, and it makes sense. I've also heard more surgery might actually encourage more growth etc.
Avatar f tn Not sure if the superfoods have causes this grainy stool, but I am concerned since it lasts for a couple of days. I have opted to skip a few days between the smoothies to see if there is a difference in my stool and yes, today, that are somewhat (minor) more consistent and compacted. HELP. Should I be worried?
2175366 tn?1337651654 Some people get good results with "superfoods" such as bee pollen, royal jelly, spirulina because they are so highly concentrated with nutrients. Adrenal aids such as eleuthero and rhodiola can be helpful as well.

Avatar f tn I am 51 and haven't had a period for 5 months. Three years ago I had UAE for fibroids causing severe bleeding. Suddenly, several weeks ago I started having burning pain which sometimes went into my lower back. It was discovered I had a 7 cm fibroid. I have no bleeding at all this time. My GYN wants to do a vaginal hysterectomy but I was wondering if I could have another UAE instead. OR...

Avatar f tn You should be starting menopause pretty soon, if you are 51. However, if you can't wait, and can afford a procedure, there is endometrial ablation. It will stop the periods. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I would imagine it's possible, but I also don't want to give false hope. FSH levels above 50 are indicative of menopause. You have that, along with lack of cycles, you're at the proper age for it to start, and you show the signs. You could probably try to lower your stress and in a few months go back in for more testing. Blood in your urine is more indicative of infection than anything else. Did you doctor check at all to see if you have one in your urinary tract or kidneys?
Avatar m tn m not a doctor and you should consult your doctor prior taking any non-essential supplements since you are on medication. Vitamins and superfoods supplements are safe tho and they have no interactions.

1253584 tn?1332877954 It's surgical menopause this is what you will be dealing with for now on. I would speak to your doctor about an hrt. Were both of your ovaries taken? If so this is what menopause is like and it's bound to stay the same unfortunately.
Avatar f tn I am not much on people being lazy during pregnancy but i would def reccomend it for you. Dont lift anything heavy at all. Treat yourself like you would treat that baby. And i eould talk to the dr about having sex. Usually it is perfictly fine but may not be in your case. And dont worry about it either bc stress isnt good for either of you. But if it does happen, it is not your fault and nither were the other ones.
Avatar f tn The more you stress the worse it is for your baby. Also try pregnant yoga its amazing what stretching can do for your mind. Eat some pregnancy superfoods like greek yogurt or beans or my favorite popcorn its a whole grain.. Its healthy for the both of you and gives your baby extra nutrion. Folic acid everyday prevents defects 600 mg. You can buy it at any walmart. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn I wish I had better answers for you, Hopefully with the onset of menopause , the fibroids will shrink, enough to be able to view the ovaries better. In any case, stay in touch and good luck.
Avatar n tn Take care of yourself, get another opinion from another gyn just in case you are not in peri-menopause. If your mom had menopause in her 40's you are more likely to have it around that age too. Good luck.
Avatar n tn You are certain you are starting menopause? 42 seems pretty young for that. Did a reproductive endocrinologist determine this, or your ob-gyn? Have your records sent to a fertility specialist (RE) right away and get some advice.
Avatar m tn t know, but one thing you can do now is start eating superfoods. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, organic, fresh when possible, unprocessed, and eat pumpkin seeds every day. They have been shown to fight prostate cancer.
Avatar f tn My mam saw her GP about 3 weeks ago because she was having trouble with pains in her legs and arms and pins and needles in both hands which are very painful , the doctor took her blood pressure which came back normal , shes 46 and on the menopause , she had a full hystdorectomy at 36 and is just off HRT tablets after taking them for 9 and 1/2 years.
Avatar f tn You do bleed heavily in the early stages of preparing for menopause but it is typically for much shorter duration like 2 days instead of your old period which was 5 days. I'd think more along the lines of fibroids or a hormonal issue based on what you've written. And I would not recommend hysterectomy unless your doctor feels it is absolutely necessary. That surgery is a big deal and impacts a lot of things from your sex life to your skin tone to your energy level, etc.
