Your doctor may have a sample diet menu or be able to recommend a nutritionist to help you understand the proper diet. There are also may diabetic cook books on the market that can help you to understand how to make common foods that are not going to spike your blood glucose. Additionally you should ask your doctor about an exercise program.

One moments I'm reading to take fish oil and eat more fish than meat (eat lean if you have to) and then I am reading to stay away from fish oil and vit K because it can counteract the medication. I am trying to find out other helpful things (besides medication) my friend can do so her chances of miscarriages decrease.

If it does display on your“Recent” foods list, you should be able to add it from there and have it displayed. Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Avatar n tn Dear winkster, Actually a diabetic diet is really only what a healthy diet would be for people without diabetes. And fruits are a part of that even though they have sugar it get metabolized like any other carbohydrates.

621085 tn?1614300231 because I am finicking about a lot of things and I find a lot of diet foods are higher in salt and when you read the labels the calories are not significantly lower enough for me to tollerate teh lack of taste or substanance.... I really find my answer has been in smaller portions, cutting out snacking for snacking sake.... cutting out soda and caffinated drinks and drinking more water .

Avatar f tn I went from a diet filled with prepackaged easy to make foods to all homemade sauces, breads, and meals and the weight just started melting off. So if you are determined to avoid surgery think of this as a good motivator to make good food decisions. If you are constantly pressed for time, taking one day of the week out and make home made frozen meals. These will be much healthier and probably safer for you to eat.

Avatar m tn I have been using the MedHelp Weight, Exercise, Water and Macronutrient Trackers since the end of November and have found them to be a very helpful tools in managing my weight loss. However, this past week on multiple occasions, I have been unable to add new items to the Food database, so each day that goes by my information gets less and less accurate. I thought maybe the capacity of the individual Food database was the problem, but the system won't let me delete any items or edit them.
