Avatar n tn He sent me to clinic that specializes in balance and dizziness. I had VNG (Videoelectronystagmography) and CDP (Computerized Dynamic Posturography) tests done and was told I have inner ear damage which could have been the result of a stroke I had five years ago. Dizziness can have a lot of causes. It might help you to look at the web site of my therapist, www.nomorevertigo.com.
Avatar n tn Went for about 2 months with no dizziness. Approximately 3-4 weeks ago, the dizziness returned worse than ever and more often. ER visit MRI of the head was negative. Carotid ultrasound at MD's office was negative. No heart problems other than MVP. Had a small child run into my left jaw prior to Christmas 07 but CT of sinuses and L jaw show no infections or break/fracture/dislocate. ENT MD diagnosed badly deviated septum, but this dizziness started in January - never present before.

Avatar n tn This dizziness problem is something I suffer from too and my symptoms are EXACTLY as you describe for your mother. I was given the Cawthorne Cooksey (link below) exercises to do each day by my physiotherapist and they do gradually help. I was told that if they made you slightly worse at first then they are working. They are very hierarchal so the later exercise should only be attempted once the firs do not cause any dizziness.
Avatar m tn I am not sure what you mean by the term dizziness. The term dizziness means different things to different people. If the room is spinning, it is called vertigo. However, others may call dizziness a “whoozy” feeling. Others may call it lightheadedness. If you actually have a room spinning sensation, the most common causes are a peripheral/inner ear problem such as a condition called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
Avatar f tn What should I do about these symptoms? It started with a headache and dizziness, and now I have eye twitches and nose bleeds?
Avatar n tn I've had dizziness now for about 1.5 years, not quite a spinning sensation, but more of a rocking or floating feeling. Went to a Neurologist, he did an MRI, Blood work, EEG, all normal. Then he had an ENG done, and the results came back saying the caloric part of the test was abnormal (30% reduction in right ear). I didn't know what that meant but he said it was my right ear causing the problem and put me on Clonazepam 0.5mg.
784382 tn?1376934640 but no pain, gave me nasonex nasal spray and said go see and ENT the dizziness got very bad one night so i went to the ER and they did a catscan and said everything was fine, sent me home with meclizine, and that worked prettty well. went to ENT last week for an allergy test, allergic to cockroaches, dust, and feathers but nothing serious and i was BARELY allergic to those.
Avatar f tn A close friend of mine has had three episodes of acute onset of dizziness with numbness of his tongue and lower lip with unsteady gait in the last 5 days. They last for a few minutes and then go away. He also has had headaches for the last couple of weeks; throbbing, on the top of his head.
Avatar n tn Anxiety can cause an increased heart rate which can in turn cause dizziness. A lot of people with unexplained cardiac problems such as increased HR and dizziness get labeled with anxiety. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor about it to rule out other possibilities.
Avatar m tn Has he had any confusion or issues like getting lost or combative? Who did he see most recently for the dizziness/dehydration? His primary care guy or a GI doc? Has he had labs in the past that showed an increase in serum ammonia, by chance? HE can be precipitated when the liver can no longer manage ammonia produced by the colon as a byproduct of protein metabolism. Animal proteins can cause ‘meat drunks’ in cirrhotics.
116881 tn?1189759423 I too, age 49, just was diagnosed with the start of menopause and one of my symptoms is daily quick flashes of dizziness. I've asked my doctor and waiting for a response. I hope you find an answer. If this is related to menopause, I'll be okay with it, but if not then ... that's scary.
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm wondering if my symptoms are indicative of a mild stroke. I've had this same thing happen a couple of times over the last decade, with varying severity, the most recent incident being two weeks ago. I went to sleep with a headache and woke up extremely dizzy, hoping a couple more hours of sleep would make it go away, which it did not. A headache persisted for the next two days and after it was finally gone the mild dizziness and general weakness has persisted ever since.
2190999 tn?1504992491 I was worked up for MS in 2012 and thankfully everything was negative. My neuro doc said the cause of my symptoms was migraines with stroke like symptoms. In 2012 I had left leg weakness and foot drop, dizziness which lasted for months, lateral nystagmus, loss of balance etc.The reason I ask now is bc I still have left leg weakness and tingling on the entire left side of my body. The tingling is constant with intense waves of tingling.
Avatar n tn might ? help in answering me. I have no other symptoms or problems such as dizziness, tingling, fainting, numbness, etc. and my vision is fine, however I have noted that of late it is getting worse, but no severe changes. Again, my many thanks !!!
Avatar f tn Over the course of 2 years I have been experiencing right arm weakness (left over from the stroke), trouble with memory and speech (finding the right words),dizziness, right leg weakness and about 6 months ago I had an EEG that showed seizure type patterns. I was placed on Lamictal. I just recently had a CTA (showing mild vascular changes at the frontal and temporal lobes), and had a neuropsych evaluation.

2190999 tn?1504992491 and thankfully everything was negative. My neuro doc said the cause of my symptoms was migraines with stroke like symptoms. The reason I'm posting now is bc I still have left leg weakness, hypersensitivity and constant tingling on the entire left side of my body. I've read migraines with stroke symptoms are benign but I'm wondering if I should expect things to get better. And yes I've thought about letting my neuro doc know about this, but I'm afraid she'll want to do more testing...
Avatar n tn I think the symptoms started first , a few months ago, then the anxiety. But the symptoms are definitely there, and I have never been one to have a history of anxiety, I am usually relatively calm. Does anyone else get these muscle twitches and floaters??

659608 tn?1318292966 Still, very low BP and/or HR can cause dizziness and many other symptoms. You also didn't say if you are on any heart medications, some of those can cause side effects such as some of your symptoms.
