Avatar m tn Im 16 weeks pregnant. My stress is at an all time now between work, school, family issues and trying to make sure my baby's okay. I just need some stress relief techniques i've tried walking, talking to friends but none of its working it just leads to me feeling depressed for some time. Mind you i've picked up on my bad habit of smoking cigarettes but not a whole cig or not that often but it makes me feel like crap so I need something else beside the just breathe technique.

Avatar f tn Dermatographism can be caused by stress, tight or abrasive clothing, watches, glasses, energetic kissing, heat, cold, or anything that causes stress to the skin. In many cases it is merely a minor annoyance, but in some rare cases symptoms are severe enough to impact a patient's life. It can be treated by antihistamines or cromoglicate and sometimes steroids, as they prevent the histamine from causing the reaction.
Avatar f tn Yup, that sounds like my lesions. I've got some diffuse enhancement in my neck, but it's old. I've also got a lesion at T6 and T8, and one in the conus. With spine/neck lesions, you're going to get what's called 'banding' - sensory symptoms around your torso that are from the damage in your spine. Sometimes you'll hear this referred to as the MS hug. That's a little misleading, because it sounds like you're getting a nice hug.
Avatar f tn Thank God this heat wave has finally broken. The heat was making me sick.
771913 tn?1343331188 Yes, all the above. Good to see you are able to engage in activity with your children. That is time worth spent even if it causes some irregular rhythm. If you have some episodes of AFib I hope your doctor has you on at least an aspirin to reduce clot risk. We may have discussed before, forgive me my poor memory please. It is good you are getting a fuller examination through a long-term monitor, that should uncover any and all rhythm episodes...
Avatar f tn Does anyone happen to know if those with MS are more susceptible to stress fractures?
Avatar n tn There has been no relief from medication. Pressure points give temporary relief, heat gives temporary relief (like the pain moves to avoid the heat) and I am at my wits end. I also have pain in my muscles on my arms and my right leg with occasional numbness. It is like a struggle to lift them and they feel weak and painful. I can lift heavy objects and have full motion and motor skills. It is only painful to me and no one would know I have any issue by looking at me or what I can do.
Avatar m tn Recently I have began to have horrible bouts of heat intolerance. My last labs were...TSH .02 Free T4 .094 and T3 253. I spoke with my doctor who feels that maybe we should cut my dose back to 90mg and then alternate between 120 and 90 to see what will make me feel better. I am trying to figure all of this out and have received so many different opinions on my treatment. I like my endo and have had no concerns on my care so far but the new treatment has me wondering...

Avatar f tn I would suggest ice over heat. Heat will make it continue to swell where as ice makes the swelling go down. My mom tore all the ligaments in her ankle when I was young and the hospital told her to ice it.
