488689 tn?1337993158 As someone with cancer and a member of the cancer forum, I would like to apologize for the situation you innocently stepped into. The hoopla wasn't over people with cysts being on the forum. It was misunderstood to mean that, but that was not true and it created a bad situation that I hope will be resolved through communication & understanding betweent the two forums.
Avatar f tn If cancer is of concern, I would consider a CT scan. Excluding cancer in the GI tract would require either an upper or lower endoscopy. These options can be discussed with your personal physician. This answer is not intended as and does not substitute for medical advice - the information presented is for patient education only. Both inflammatory as well as neoplastic processes would be a consideration. Impression: 1. A 1.2 cm hypoecoic nodule in the left lobe of the thyroid gland, etiology of which is to be determined. 2. Enlargement of boht lobes of the thyroid gland worse on the right than the left with diffuse heterogeneous echotexture as described above.
Avatar f tn This started when I had my thyroid remove due to cancer. All my bloodwork, which is done every 6 weeks, comes back normal. I have no heart problems, no ashma or lung problems. I have asked all my doctors but nobody can tell me why this is happening or what can be done about it. What next?
Avatar f tn I am a 38 year old woman with no kids who was diagnosed a year ago with uterine fibroids and a 6 cm cyst of unknown etiology. They ran TVUS, abdominal US and the cancer markers (CA - 125, CA 19-9) of which the one for ovarian cancer came elevated. Since then I started the battle of trying to find out what my best option was and finally after making sever medical consults and searching on line, I decided to get operated.
Avatar n tn Is it possible to have a PSA that high ... If yes ... does it most likely mean he has cancer that has spread beyond the prostate? Thanks.
Avatar n tn Not necessarily. Stomach cancer can often have negative blood work (except you may be anemic). However it is much much more likely that you have something like an ulcer causing the black specks. Stomach cancer is very rare! How old are you?
Avatar f tn Six months is a too long time and you should have got evaluated by now. Stomach diseses, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, stomach cancer all can lead to nausea and loss of appetite. Do you also have yellowish discoloration of your skin, eyes and urine? That could be due to gall bladder disease or hepatitis. Eat small healthy meals. You need to consult a primary care physician. He will further refer you to a gastroenterologist.

60505 tn?1313946644 "I am a 46yo (white) female, I have been checking statistics for stomach cancer and I do see as a female and with my race the odds are very low. For the last 2 months I have been getting stomach "pain" more uncomfortable than pain, along with a feeling of "fullness" sometimes with a sense of nausea. No weight loss. I would say I have been getting indigestion and reflux for as long as I can remember.
Avatar f tn I also probably should have mentioned that we have a family history of stomach cancer and stomach ulcers, which is also what got me to thinking this. My diet, when I do manage to get it down, is good - no worries there. I do not smoke, and drink alcohol occasionally. My specialist told me about an endoscopy but he said he didn't think I needed one, so instead, told me to wait. Do you really think it's worthwhile going back?
Avatar m tn I am very disturbed that the discomfort is not going. I have made 4 trips to the doctor and he is not worried. Do I have stomach cancer ? what should I do now ?

Avatar m tn 45 y/o AAF with hx of mid back pain, weakness and numbness in lower legs, chronic cough with a family hx of bones and breast cancer. An MRI w/wo contrast for thorascic mass was ordered for this incidental finding discovered on CT. MRI showed a circumscribed cystic abnormality (paraspinal cyst) measuring 3.3cm dia and 2.8cm in lenth abutting left lateral and posterior aspect of T4 and T5 vertebral bodies. Avatar n tn I have looked up information about it, and from what I understand, it can happen in the stomach or intestines. I was wondering if anyone knows if volvulus causes the stomach or intestines to *remain* twisted/knotted or do the twists/knots happen only at *certain times* and then return to normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated--I am very curious about this!
Avatar f tn on 4/25/07 I had a complete physical. The Chest Xray showed a 2.5 x 1.5 nodule. My doctor spent years as an ER doctor and said he seen TONS of these things and this one does not look cancerous. He got a second opinion and it said the following: There is a 2.5 x 1/5 ovoid soft tissue nodular density in the mid right lung laterally with proximal linear margination. Chest is otherwise negative.
Avatar n tn i have had a queezy stomach for some weeks now , i've been in the emergency room twice , the first time i threw up and the second time nothing was wrong.
Avatar f tn I do alot of standing and take tamoxifin to reduce estrogen following breast cancer. Should I be concerned and consult a doctor? What kind of doctor would be best to talk to.
Avatar n tn My husband has recurrent small cell lung cancer sense July. His health has really declined in the past month. He is having a hard time with his balance, his memory comes and goes and some days he is so out of it!! He is loosing weight but his pants won’t button anymore. He had an ultrasound and they said it is gas. What could cause there to be that much gas? He had a CAT scan of his chest today and they said there is NO significant interval change. HOW CAN THIS BE?????
Avatar f tn First let me state the obvious. I am no doctor of radiologist. So take whatever I say with a large grain of salt. Well maybe not salt as sodium can be a problem for us cirrhotics. Do you have chronic hepatitis C? You don’t say what type of MRI you had. I assume it had contrast and non-contrast images? A MRI is used primarily to diagnose cancers including liver cancer (HCC). Also it can see your internal organs and can detect any physical abnormalities.
Avatar n tn 7cm Remainder of exam unremarkable etiology of cyst unclear. postoperative collection is possible. Cyst of other etiology is can not be excluded. I am terrified of this as i have not been feeling well and not reason has been found.
Avatar n tn Forgive me if these questions sound completely stupid- I usually post to the thyroid forum and don't know a lot about lung cancer. My Mom was recently admitted to the hospital because of fluid buildup around her lungs. She had a bad painful cough with fever for several weeks, was given antibiotics, and told she had bronchitis. A couple days ago she had a CT scan which showed fluid buildup around her lungs, and now they want to do thoracentesis on her.
Avatar f tn Though this is not the only diagnosis for enlarged mesentric lymphnodes and there are several benign causes that outnumber the cancerous etiology; malignancy is the most lethal, that would require quick action and unless a definite diagnosis is established, larger nodes, especially those with radiological features of a malignancy would empirically need to be treated like one. Hope this information helps. Take care!
