Hi I have pain behind my breastbone and slightly to the left side under my ribs, with excess gas and bloating to my stomach. I have also have heartburn occasionally. This has got progressively worse in the past year since having an endoscopy which found nothing untoward other than inflammation due to excess stomach acid.
I will be 6 weeks on Friday with baby #3, I feel SO bloated! Anyone have remedies for this?
I'm a 33 year old female. 3 nights ago, I was woken up by intense stomach pains (right in the bottom/center of my ribs) that felt like they were coming in waves lasting about 3-5 seconds. I was eating Gaviscon tablets all night, which helped for about 25 minutes at a time. I have absolutely NO history of stomach issues or even heartburn. I've been taking Prevacid for 2 days and its helping though I still take Gaviscon liquid in the morning and when I go to bed.
Not everyone with IBS will experience bloating, but bloating is definitely a common symptom of IBS. Some cultures chew a few fennel seeds after a meal, because it is known that fennel helps with gas.
Look into food sensitivities as being a cause of your symptoms. Most people with IBS don't know that they're sensitive to certain foods, too.
I had recently gone to a gastroenterologist with some concerns about my stomach. I'm a very healthy eater, vegetarian, minimal cheese, gluten intolerant, and still having lots of trouble digesting food. Constant bloating, reflux and indigestion. The dr ordered an ultrasound of the abdomen.
My fiancé has been bloating for a year and his poor stomach is so hard and full it's like he's having triplets. He's in hospital right now for pneumonia and I've been asking them to determine what's making his stomach so hard and large. They did a CT and at least confirmed he does not have fluid buildup. He has COPD-emphysema and congestive heart failure.
Check out Gastritis and see if it matches your symptoms. This can be caused by reflux, but I'd expect you to have heartburn almost all the time.
Has anyone on this site ever experienced stomach bloating ? I just assumed it was attributable to MS.
The other annoying thing I have been dealing with is paresthesia mostly in groin area ... if you couple that with the lower back pressure/pain that I get from time to time, would suggest sacral nerves are affected perhaps?
For the past month ive had stomach bloating mostly after eating. However it doesnt make me feel full, it just feel like my stomach is stretched. Occasionally i feel ever so slightly nauseous but this passes quickly if i eat. Also on days that i havnt felt bloated my stomach has felt tense and im unable to relax it like im holding it in but I litterally arent!!
I eat a balanced diet, i dont smoke but i do like a drink. It doesnt seem to be affected by what i eat or dont eat.

I’ve had stomach bloating & cramping after every bowel movement for a few months now. I’ll be fine before and during but be miserable after. Pain varies from mild discomfort to severe cramping. It feels similar to menstrual cramps. I was treated a few months ago for constipation. High fibre & lots of water did the trick. But I’ve been having this issue ever since. Wondering what it could be.

Hello my fiancé just discovered there was a dent in her head aprox a year ago she fainted and hit her head and fracturued her elbow and fell into a small seizure follow by dizziness and disorientation about Jan 2015 she began feeling stomach pain which followed by over the course of aprox 10months later came accompanied with nausea blood in stool abnormal urination bloating loss of appetite constipation etc these are all problems she is facing also she developed a bald spot in front of her head
