I have been experiencing neck pain below my thyroid on the left side for 2 moths, suddenly the sore neck went into one side of my throat and ear Left side. It gets worse after 5-6 pm and I have to take serious pain meds to get it to calm down. I feel like I have the flu or something But I have no fever and no other symptoms. Covid tests all negative. My doctor put my on a huge dose of augmentin and it’s not helping.

my doctor put me on some antibiotics, amozicilin and peniciline at different times and gave me medication for the fever. while the mouths sores and neck pains resolved, the sore throat, ear pains and the fever remains. i feel a burning sensation in the area where the sore is in my throat with radiating pains to the ear on the same side of the throat. i have since stopped smoking and cut down on my alchohol consumption. i feel very sick that i will need your advice to help deal with the problem.

Does anyone else out there have or had a terrible sore neck? it hurts so much in the back. Mythroat feels like I can't swollow where it feels like that little adam's apple won't move. even my jaw hurts. I went to the ENT - he wants to see the actual US films . I called the pharmacist and he said prednisone should not be the cause of any pain I am having. Would this nodule cause so mych pain ? adn IF it spread to lymph node could this be my pain too.

Your persistent symptoms of sore throat, ear pain and lymph node swelling could be due to a throat infection, most probably streptococcal or a viral infection. Strep sore throat needs to be treated with an antibiotic as strep is a bacteria. Viral sore throat is best treated with rest, warm oral fluids and (OTC) Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen for pain.

I thought I had strep. My only symptoms at the time were a fever and a severe sore throat. The quick test came back negative. They took a culture sample which later came back to be negative. Since then, my throat has not been better, but I no longer have fevers. I do not have other symptoms. The only problem is that my throat is so bad, that I can not swallow anything including saliva or even food. I can manage to drink water though.

Monday I got a severe burning sore throat with no other symptoms. Tuesday sore throat was worse I could barely swallow. Went to MD and had a strep throat test- negative. Also swollen lymph nodes in neck and slight fever 101. No other cold or flu symptoms. I can only swallow ice water or ice chips. After 3 days I now have a blistery rash on my hands also. Could this be mono or something else- should I see Dr again?

The right side of my neck feels tight from my jaw to the bottom of my neck, and i have mucus draining down throat also. My lymph nodes in my neck are normal i have no lumps or anything i have no other symptoms. But i do have some bump looking things on the back of my throat. so if you may know what is wrong please let me know.

Two weeks after my sexual encouter, a terrible pain on the right side of my neck developed. My sore throat got worse one week after that neck pain. I also had this mild fever (37.3 C), nasal congestion, watery eyes and sneezing. All of my symptoms gradually disappeared in a few days, all except the nasal congestion and the neck pain. symptoms can appear at 3 days as a response to our bodies building antibodies. But like i said if she did not have any sores at the time this risk is quite low. Hsv2 sheds more often than hsv1 but from a one time affair the odds you contracted it are really quite low. I only mention this as an option.

If do you it could be a strep throat. IF no fever and no pus but just a red throat it maybe a virus. It should pass in a couple of days if it is a virus. If it dosen't get better then see a doctor and be honest about the oral sex. They can easily do a throat swab for GC and also a culture for strep throat or a rapid strep test and culture. But everytime my neck gets extremely bad and I have an awful headache (like today) I get a horrible sore throat. I was just wondering if anyone else expirences this or knows of anyone who has. Thanks, any suggestions on how to make it feel better would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, if you have a sore throat due the hiv infection (ars symptoms), is it very painfull?? I had a risk 18 days ago, since the 5 th day i have an up and of going sore throat it is not that bad, could it have something to do with ars symptoms? Hi - I recently did something incredibly stupid. On a post-breakup trip to Vegas, I had a drunken hookup with someone I don't know. I performed oral sex on him for literally about 5-10 seconds without a condom (not to completion). Things escalated and we started to have sex. Have you had your throat checked for a strep infection? You could also perhaps have mono if you had a sore throat, swollen glands and high fever, fatigue etc. A lot of things will cause high ESR and swollen glands. What other symptoms do you have?

whenever i get a fever it begins with sore throat or neck pains during those periods of fever i have palpitations an my heart rate is at 127 to 135 beats? any thoughts?

t help much. Now she thinks its a Glandular fever.. I dont have any other sympthoms apart from sore throat, and mucus going down it. The only other thing is that my lymph nodes in neck feel a bit tender. Also sometimes I feel like im producing way too much saliva.Few times there was some white stuff on sides of my throat. And also rarely get some small difficulties with swallowing but I think this might be just casued by super stress that im going through... I am non-smoking person.

This sore throat went away within 7-10 days, I revisted the doctors on day 24 as my neck was still sore, he again check my nodes and confirmed nothing was swollen.
