311765 tn?1206762636 but it dull most of the time but sometimes i get what I call Craps under my rib cage below my lungs. this stops me for doing normal things, like walking i have to stop till the craps stops. they don't last long but they hurt!
Avatar m tn It sounds more like the Sonata is causing this, unless this is something you've been taking for awhile, as these are common side effects of it. I doubt the B complex is causing the problem, but I wonder, when are taking it and when are you taking Sam-e?
Avatar m tn My last refill for percocet was 10/19 and 12/09 for ambien and that was my plastic surgeon. My surgeon refused to give me anything else. He told me to find a PCP and I did 12/17 but this FNP isn't addressing my pain/insomnia effectively. On 12/17/10 she wrote me a script for indocin and benadryl. This didn't work so on 12/23/10 she wrote a questionable or I'm not sure who wrote it for sonata, percocet, and dicflonac.
Avatar m tn I am a professional violinist and recently developed an essential tremor in my bow arm which interferes greatly with my playing. My neurologist tried primidone but it has helped only a little. I asked if he could put me on Inderal which I understand can help with essential tremor. However -- the doctor pointed out that I am already on lisinopril (for hypertension) which, he claimed, ALSO is effective in treating essential tremor.
Avatar n tn I agree about talking to the doc. You might consider melatonin, though. It's OTC, safe, and works well for some people. I've been using that off-and-on throughout treatment. Go with the lowest OTC dose, though. It's a natural compound and if the body gets too much it just ignores the signal. Also, talk to your doc about Ambien (lasts roughly 8 hours) vs. Sonata (lasts about 2 hours).
1334237 tn?1275521425 I am a music teacher and I have a girl who absent-mindedly masturbates with her clarinet during her lesson. I have no idea how to approach this or even if I should. I don't want to embarrass her or get her in trouble with her parents (I don't know how they'd react). This is not the sort of thing music school prepares you for!! Any ideas on what to do?
Avatar m tn I played the clarinet for 12 years or so, sometimes hours a day. Out of curiosity I read about this and found some studies that claim that eye pressure temporarily increase during play. Does this IOP elevation mean worsening of myopia?
Avatar f tn I'm only 21 weeks and I'm already short of breath and feel like my lungs are getting squashed. Is it just because everything's squashed up? I just can get comfy to relax lately and it's getting me very irritated! It doesn't help that is 35•C everyday! I feel for the mamas that are further and bigger, especially in the heat!
Avatar f tn The Z sleep meds, (Ambien & Sonata) can be hard to taper off due to their relatively short half life. Talk to your doctor about using a Dr Ashton style taper where you switch to valium & taper off that which should help minimize the side effects you experience. Your GABA receptors have become tolerant to these drugs & it won't get any better if you continue with them but you should be able to taper very slowly using valium without too much discomfort.
Avatar f tn He told me that I have repetitive motion injury, due to playing clarinet and writing. 3 weeks ago for finals I typed 3 essays, wrote 7 essays, and played clarinet for an hour. Ever since finals my wrist has been swollen and it cracks whenever I move it. The pain has also increase tremendously, and I can't move my wrist the best. I have been doing OT for a while now and it is not helping, it makes it worse. What do you think is wrong with my wrist?
Avatar f tn Hey, I took Seroquel for yrs for my anxiety and it worked quite well. But finally stopped working, I guess I built up a tolerance. But it never put me out.
148588 tn?1465778809 Valerie Deant arrived at a shooting range in Medley, Florida for annual weapons qualifications training in December, she was expecting a typical military exercise. But as she readied for target practice, she noticed several bullet-hole-ridden mug shots of young black men hanging near the range, left behind by the North Miami Beach Police snipers who had just finished using the facilities.
Avatar m tn Thanks for your info on how Trileptal works for Tregeminal Neuralgia. I would be interested to see how it works with other people as well, in place of Carbamazapine and Gabapentin so I have some ammunition when I see my neurologist. I don't think Gabapentin is doing much if anything for me, I am currently taking 2700 mg per day in addition to Carbamazapine.
Avatar m tn Anyway I have been with this replaced doctor for a yr and a half, I had been explaining to him that 2 vicaprofen in a 24 hour period is not sufficient he by the way had taken me off the motrin and changed my Xanax to Ativan. I also have been on sonata 10 mg for all these yrs. I was given a urine test which is pretty normal, before I took it I told him that there would prob. not be hydrocodone in it as we had been discussing that I needed more pain relief.

Avatar f tn I have a real problem with insomnia I went to the doctor last week and got Sonata for sleep and I asked for clonadine because I knew that I would be out of pills this week and would be having w/d sysptoms. He did not want to give me that he gave me klonapin instead.. I have not told him I have a problem with pills. The sonata is not working for my insomnia so I have made an another appt to see him this week to see if I can get the clonadine.
Avatar m tn Hi, I have just got the same thing and thought to do some research. I play the clarinet and I stopped for 2 weeks and my mouth really hurt after not playing for weeks however I do think someone else used my clarinet could this be the cause of why I got it because it happened the night after?????
Avatar f tn Have you tried Ambien or Sonata? I take Ambien (have been on it for about 4 years) - some nights it works well and others it's like I've taken a tic tac - but there are nights when nothing short of getting hit over the head with a hammer is going to help me sleep! I used to be on the CR version of the Ambien, until my insurance decided it wasn't going to cover that formula any longer, so now I'm back to the 10mg dose.
1580703 tn?1651904887 I started clonezepam for my sleep apnea, I twitch all the time in my leg/arm before I fall asleep and I seem to have slept well even without bipap once I felt this urge to write something and I started twitching like I had a seizure for a few minutes

Avatar n tn I had a mammogram yesterday and thought that my breast pain was causing my rib cage pain for the past few weeks. Well, they found nothing on my mammogram, but my rib cage is still hurting and it is penetrating to my lower right rib cage. I have been having pain for the last few weeks in under my right shoulder blade as well. I had a huge kidndey stone in the early 90's. I am currently breastfeeding as well. What could this be?
Avatar n tn My son is 10. He was diagnosed with moderate to severe ADHD when he was 5. We tried the usual medicines. Ritalin, Strattera, Adderall, Concerta, etc...nothing seemed to work but when all was said and done, my son developed vocal tics. These haven't gone away for the last couple of years. He is now on Tenex, and Clonidine, for both the ADHD and the tics. We've noticed that when he's getting sick, the tics are at it full force.
