Sonata for clarinet and piano bernstein

Common Questions and Answers about Sonata for clarinet and piano bernstein

sonata

Avatar f tn Classic rock. Poison, white snake, gnr, beatles, anything from the music at work on the radio.
Avatar m tn It sounds more like the Sonata is causing this, unless this is something you've been taking for awhile, as these are common side effects of it. I doubt the B complex is causing the problem, but I wonder, when are taking it and when are you taking Sam-e?
Avatar m tn one night i decided to sit down and play the piano---i played for quite awhile and eventually my wrists started top hurt---but i think that was a carpal tunnel thing, not an arthritis thing. i worry that my arthritis could eventually get bad enough to affect my piano playing. i have atopic dermatitis and it can make my fingers hurt more than my arthritis does. i assume that what i have is osteoarthritis, but no one ever has said that for sure.
Avatar m tn It all started when one day I played the piano and guitar for several hours. The following morning my wrist hurt and were going numb. I had no swelling. I waited a couple days, then when I thought I was ok I lifted some weights. I realized it wasn't better. School made it impossible for my wrists to recover. I tried playing the piano a week later, but they still hurt. For months I've been trying to let them recover, but they won't.
Avatar n tn I am a long distancer runner training for a marathon. I have lived with type 1 diabetes for thirteen years. I use the Bernstein dietary regimen and "exercise technique", which consists of eating small amounts of dextrose while running to compensate for the hypoglycemic effect of exercise. The aim is to keep blood sugar normal at all times. It works. Google "Bernstein diabetes" for the book.
Avatar m tn Depending on your results from your blood sugar meter you may need to eat much lower carb to manage blood sugars. This is called "eat to your meter" appraoch. An alternative low carb approach recommended by Dr. Bernstein is detailed in his book "Diabetes Solutions" and also discussed on Utube at "Bernstein Diabetes University". He recommends typically about 30 g of carbs / day mostly from non-starchy veges. You will need to experiment and see what works for you.

Avatar n tn Separate dosing of Lantus (long acting) and Humalog (short acting) where you inject each insulin separately (also called MDI for multi daily injections) is much more flexible. You test and adjust your basal insulin (lantus), then you dose your fast acting for each meal based on how much food / carbs/ protein you eat. You can also use your Humalog to correct for high blood sugars. Mixed insulin cannot be used to correct high blood sugars.
Avatar m tn My last refill for percocet was 10/19 and 12/09 for ambien and that was my plastic surgeon. My surgeon refused to give me anything else. He told me to find a PCP and I did 12/17 but this FNP isn't addressing my pain/insomnia effectively. On 12/17/10 she wrote me a script for indocin and benadryl. This didn't work so on 12/23/10 she wrote a questionable or I'm not sure who wrote it for sonata, percocet, and dicflonac.
Avatar m tn t diagnosed causes for a lot of teasing and trama. His self confidence and hopes and dreams for scholarships in music no longer exist he just plays the best he can knowing he will get teased even put down by one band director and he know every year for solo and ensemble contest that he will be told jto ust play in front of more people so you won't shake so bad. He is on 160 mg of Inderal also and it helps some but not enough. Please let me know if you find anything that helps you.
Avatar f tn Sleep medications to induce sleep are helpful for short term insomnia. For long term use they are best avoided, and besides you may develop tolerance to the medication. So, try weaning away from them and slowly try to adopt good sleep hygiene measures to promote sleep. Also, being overweight can worsen the osteoarthritis, so to begin with try light exercises like walking and then gradually build up under the guidance of a physiotherapist.
Avatar n tn I agree about talking to the doc. You might consider melatonin, though. It's OTC, safe, and works well for some people. I've been using that off-and-on throughout treatment. Go with the lowest OTC dose, though. It's a natural compound and if the body gets too much it just ignores the signal. Also, talk to your doc about Ambien (lasts roughly 8 hours) vs. Sonata (lasts about 2 hours).
1334237 tn?1275521425 OK, this is a bit unusual. I am a music teacher and I have a girl who absent-mindedly masturbates with her clarinet during her lesson. I have no idea how to approach this or even if I should. I don't want to embarrass her or get her in trouble with her parents (I don't know how they'd react). This is not the sort of thing music school prepares you for!! Any ideas on what to do?
Avatar m tn Unfortunately using a "sliding scale" will never get rid of highs and lows. AND every person is different, so the amount of insulin I need to lower my BG could very well kill your husband. Using Insulin is difficult for me to explain. what is needed is carb counting, with an Insulin/Carb ratio plus insulin/BG ratio.
Avatar f tn I have had type 1 diabetes for around 8 years now. Me and my husband are trying to get pregnant. I've had 2 miscarriages. I'm just wondering what are some tips or advice that you guys have? What foods should I eat? Anyone had this problem? Just looking for advice in what to do. I do shots right now but am looking into insulin pump.
Avatar m tn Economy added 88,000 jobs in March, well below the 200,000 that economists predicted. With politicians and pundits blaming the policies of sequestration and the end of the payroll tax holiday, Weekends with Alex Witt invited former chief economist to Vice President Joe Biden, Jared Bernstein to discuss the latest economic trends. “Frankly, I was surprised by February’s result which was a lot higher than I thought it would be, we actually added 268,000 [jobs] in February,” Bernstein said.
Avatar m tn I played the clarinet for 12 years or so, sometimes hours a day. Out of curiosity I read about this and found some studies that claim that eye pressure temporarily increase during play. Does this IOP elevation mean worsening of myopia?
Avatar m tn You can go to bernstein diabetes university on utube for some more info. However please do ask your Dr for education / referral to diabetes educator. Insulin is a very effective medication but it must be used properly in order for it to be safe.
Avatar f tn I had to give up playing my clarinet til after the baby due to not enough oxygen.to go around for the both of us and the instrument. It's sad. I gave itup about 3 weeks ago finally after trying ans failing. I'm 22 weeks now.
Avatar n tn A monofocal lens does let you see well within a small range of distances, so if you were doing monovision, one eye being set for distance and one eye being set for near, you could set one eye at -1D, 1 diopter myopic, or perhaps 1.25D myopic, and that would likely let you see that sheet music well enough, with -1.5D being better but risking more trouble adapting to the monovision and reduction of stereopsis, 3D visual perception.
Avatar n tn I stopped taking it a bit ago and now-oh no!! See www.bluepoppy.com for info on that. Ebselen along with lutein is supposed to be good. I may have enough money left for Ebselen, but I'm not sure about Nepretin-sounds very good though. I didn't reach the point to get shark's cartrilidge, but I know that would help. 35.5 years taking insulin and I'd have to say I have a bunch of Angels watching over me! I now watch TBN amap since I was raised by non-practicing Catholics. Oh, Dr.
Avatar m tn Dr Richard Bernstein, now 82, has had diabetes for about 70 years. He is still working. He has lecture series on bernstein university (utube), also wrote book diabetes solutions. He teaches that with excellent control and normalizing blood sugars people, with diabetes can live the same lives, as those without. Of choose it takes some resilience and dedication to control diabetes long term.
Avatar f tn How are you taking that many at a time and still alive broski? You took 30 of the ambien 10 mg in three days? What's your dosing routine? Do you take them during the day or just at night? Withdrawal from Ambien can be life threatening just like benzos. Your best bet would be to see your doctor and be honest with what is going on here and see about seeking some help with this mess you're in. I take one 10 mg Zolpidem a night and cannot fathom taking more than that.
Avatar f tn Before you start any diet, it is very advisable to talk to your doctor. Seventy pounds is a lot of weight to lose. You said you started a three day diet that should help to lose 10 pounds a week. You asked if losing 10 pounds a week is too much. Ten pounds a week is too much and could jeopardize your health. I've heard you shouldn't lose more than 2 lbs per week. Losing too much weight quickly could be very dangerous to your health, especially 10 lbs per week.
Avatar m tn Thanks for the useful info.
