Avatar f tn I am 20 week's and a day and I was wondering does it matter what type if music you play for your baby while it's in the womb, like could I play soft country or Idk bluegrass? I've been told gospel is really good. Any suggestions?
19606750 tn?1480880764 Main motivation to fix is to make it easier for typing, and playing musical instruments (piano/guitar/violin) where I find it hampers progress in terms of agility/precision (I'm right handed, so use left hand for frets). Wondered if anyone could recommend a good way of going about this in the UK (whether NHS or private, where and how) and how long to expect heeling period to be.
Avatar m tn Hi guys, When I was roughly 15 or so, I noticed a tingling sensation in my and (I believe my left). It was mis-diagnosed as carpel tunnel at the time (I played piano and violin so it was plausible). Since then, very gradually, the sensation has progressed to other parts of my body, though not all. My face and both my hands now have this persistent constant tingling sensation.
Avatar f tn Hi, pulling out your hair is a conscious decision and am asking why you are doing this instead of taking piano lessions?
Avatar m tn It's 8 in the morning and I did not take the Sonata last nite. A little jittery but not much. I think I will leave off all of it l off and see how it goes. Not much can be worse than the constant jitters.
Avatar n tn I added Alessandra Ambrosio as a friend on facebook and she added me as a friend back, and saw Tina Fey in a facebook group, which I posted a joke in. I thought that a part of the show 30 Rock was about me, when Jack said I like him about Tina's boyfriend. I also thought that a part of the show when they said that they knew a good lawyer was about my dad. I sent Stephen a birthday card when it was his birthday and mistook a part of that show to be about me, after sending him that card.
1748105 tn?1314473206 my knee surgeon suspected lupus and sent me to a rheumatoid dr for testing and they tested for MS, lymes , lupus which I am always borderline for, but they did find the chiari.I got the dx in Feb '08. Avatar m tn i have arthritis in my fingers, too---and i am also a piano player. so far, the arthritis has not seemed to bother me particularly when i play the piano---but i had not been playing much for awhile. i had to have carpal tunnel surgery in both wrists ablmost 4 years ago--probably because i have played the piano since i was 11---i'm 48 1/2 now, and i also crochet.
Avatar m tn This condition is common in those who use the key board, mouse etc a lot—like in computers or in typing jobs or like the piano you played. In this the median nerve is compressed at the wrist in a place called the carpel tunnel. Symptoms begin with either numbness and tingling of the first three or two fingers from the thumb side or by just pain. Usually there is no swelling. Treatment is usually by splints and steroid injections. Surgery may be required in some cases.
Avatar n tn He is very good at sport and seems to behave well for other people. We have been to a child psychologist in the past to gain skills to deal with him, which worked for a while, but as he gets older are ineffective. We set him boundaries and reward good behavior, but unfortunatley we, like all humans have a breaking point and sometimes lose our temper due to the constant stress. This behaviour is severely straining our marriage and our family dynamic. Please help with some advice.
Avatar f tn s like she hates us and tellsus constantly how stupid we are and she hates haven been born in t his family. It just goes on and on and on. If you find some answers let me know, we are in the same boat!
Avatar f tn Love ur Gma story...my DD is a dancer so that is a nice connection and my Gma played piano for her DH's movie theater...it was Silent movies back then...so that is exciting....only thing is they split up and I never met him. On my mom's side her dad played violin and I also took lessons and also took guitar lessons as well, I can play piano by ear....lol...so music has always played a major role in my life....and again with DD being a dancer, u can not dance with out ur music...
4268628 tn?1375041176 Just curious if anyone else in here is a musician. I'm playing in out community band and am struggling and questioning if I should even be playing until after the baby is borne.I am 16 w. Doc said it was ok for as long as I am comfortable. My issue is not breath support, but prego brain in just reading music....like level 3 music, not even level 4 or 5. I'm so frustrated. I love music and normally this music would be minimally challenging.
Avatar n tn My son is 16 (17 in Jan). Over the past 3-4 weeks he has suffered from serious memory loss or he's just lying. There's only 3 people in the house: him, his mother and me (dad). I cautioned him last week about flushing the tolilet. He swore he didn't go to the bathroom. It could have only been him.

Avatar m tn There is still a small amount of pain, but I am very aware of how much strength I am losing in my finger. I am due to start a Masters in university playing violin in 5 weeks so need to start rehabilitation of the finger as soon as possible, but don't want to further injure the finger.
Avatar f tn I found myself in the livingroom after my last post dancing with my daughter and singing. We are a musical family. My hubby plays guitar and sings at small venues, my 4 y.o. loves her guitar, my 15 y.o. plays drums, I play violin and sing, and my soon to be 19 y.o. plays guitar too. After typing that out, "By George", I'm gonna break out my violin! Havens touched it in nearly 2 yrs!!!
Avatar f tn u. at a major medical center where i was in a coma with a brain bleed for six weeks. a month more in a step down unit and six weeks in inpatient rehab. when i first got to rehab i could not make change of one dollar from a cup fill of coins. today by the grace of god i am driving a little, back to playing my cello, not as well as before, and getting household chores done. i am a college graduate and love to read.
Avatar m tn ) My oldest son took my jeep and had a lift installed so that can load it and unload it by myself. I love it!! My younger son had to pt his two cents worth in and painted a sign for the back. It reads" Granny on Wheels, speed up or get the HELL out of the way!!" Now I can get out instead of being n the house, flea markets here I come.
Avatar f tn Also forgot to mention I play guitar and violin if that makes a difference.
649848 tn?1534633700 Good morning, everyone. I hope you've all got a good day in process. We were lucky enough to get some rain last night (0.69") - not a lot, but when you need it, every little bit helps. I'm hoping that my plants will start getting green again, since many of them are turning brown from being too dry. It's been a pretty quiet week, so I've had time to get in plenty of calligraphy practice, along with a few other things.
Avatar m tn A man walked into a night club carrying a small box which he placed on the bar. He ordered a drink and the opened the box. At the sound of a piano coming from the box the bartender came over to see if there was an MP3 player making the music. To his amazement he saw a small man about ten inches in height sitting in the box playing a miniature piano. When he asked the man wher he got the little guy the man didn't answer but gave the bartender a disgusted look.
