609540 tn?1257320441 Hi, You could be having sinusitis or rhinitis. Do you have associated symptoms of cough, wheeze, breathlessness, post nasal drip etc? You should try steam inhalation, saline nasal drops and oral antihistamine medications for your complaints and see if it helps with the symptoms. You should see your doctor and get a clinical examination for a diagnosis and to evaluate if any investigations are required including blood tests, chest xray and CT scan of the sinuses.
Avatar n tn Hi, Can you please tell us is it only the sinusitis that you are having or allergic symptoms (frequent sneezing, running nose and nasal block) also associated with it. If you are having nasal allergy associated I would advise to visit your ENT specialist for a thorough examination and change in the medications if it warrants. If you do not have any allergic symptoms then stop the nasal spray, use saline nasal drops, oral decongestants (such as Sudafed) for few days.
Avatar n tn Every Spring for about the past 10 years, I have developed symptoms associated with seasonal allergies...congestion, sneezing, coughing, etc. Within a couple of weeks of developing symptoms, I invariably develop a sinus infection, and I spend my whole Spring in misery. It starts every March, ends sometime in June. An allergist performed a skin test about 4 years ago and it came back negative. He prescribed Flonase & Astelin for my symptoms, these medications have had little if any effect.
Avatar n tn Hi For the past few weeks i keep getting a blocked nose, sneezing, itching, etc. I had an allergy test ina health fo shop last year-they said i had a cows milk intolerence. I have mild crohns disease which milk can affect. I would like to know can a milk intolerence cause the problems described with my nose? I am taking a nasal spray and that has helped but symptoms return when i stop. Could chocolate, milk and cheese cause this?

Avatar n tn Hi All, Almost 6 weeks back i had a headache with constant feverish feeling, dizziness in head, off balance feeling, sometimes congested head feeling. I went to doctor and he told me its sinusitis (i have sinus problem). had an anbiotic course for 4 days and it went away. After like 10 days it came back with pressure (which originates from center of head and takes over my upper head area) and burning feeling in my head and i was todl to continue medication.
Avatar n tn Hi, This type of sinusitis is also known as chronic hyperplastic eaosinophilic sinusitis with nasal polyposis (CHES/NP) as it is usually associated with small polyps/swellings in the nose. It is the prominent accumulation of eosinophils that is the diagnostic feature of this condition.
Avatar n tn I went to a Meniere's specialist and I don't have Meniere's in other ear. Turns out it is chronic sinusitis. It is destroying me!! I started immunotherapy shots 3 months ago but they take nine months to work. I cannot hear, sick all the time, can't go bak to work because I cannot hear. Severely depressed, don't want to leave house because I cannot hear. Has anyone experienced this. What was the results!! please help!!
1691275 tn?1322331107 Your regular PCP/MD or ENT Specialist can order this. I totally disagree with the physician telling you your problems have nothing to do with your maxillary sinuses. STICK WITH THE ENT SPECIALIST FOR NOW.
Avatar f tn Hi, it typically suggests allergic rhinitis which is exaggerated or precipitated during cold season or timing. This condition is sometimes associated with asthma. The triggering factors like dust, fog, pollens etc. can cause the precipitation of these symptoms. From your history it is clear that you are allergic to dust.
Avatar f tn Hi, How are you? Congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sinusitis, and nosebleeds are common problems with CPAP use. Make sure that your mask fits properly and a CPAP machine that uses a heated humidifier can help relieve these side effects. A saline nasal spray at bedtime may also help. If it persists, talk to your sleep specialist for further evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn The sneezing I can live with---it's 10 hours a day with a running nose that's a killer. I'm starting a nasal spray called Omnaris and hoping it helps. It's truly a debilitating condition and I commiserate with the others who've written.
865758 tn?1285956504 Over a month ago I came down with a really bad sinus cold which lasted about 5 days. Sneezing crazy and stuffed up. A few days after those symptoms passed, I was at my first day at new job and all of a sudden extreme dizziness hit me and I liked blacked out for a few seconds. When I realized what happened I was surprised I was even still standing. I thought I was having s heartattack or stroke.. Went to ER and they gave me amox clav pills and a steroidal antibiotic.
Avatar m tn Sinus flare ups every 6-12 weeks when others in the house are not sick 2 years ago this was 3 days of a very runny nose, itchy eyes, sore throat, and sneezing then a sinus infection (sinus swelling, malaise, headache, upper tooth ache, feeling spacey, ear fullness, sensitivity to loud noises, irritability, and yellow/brown post-nasal discharge which smells/tastes funny.
Avatar n tn If his assurance is valid, that implies that your “toothache” is a referred pain, meaning that it is coming from another anatomic structure, most likely from adjacent tissue such as from the sinuses, the jaw, the parotid gland or structures such as cysts within what is called the cerebello-pontine angle, in which case, consultation with a specialist familiar with other head and neck diseases could be advantageous. Good luck.
Avatar n tn Hello, Your symptoms are suggestive of sinusitis or chronic sinusitis(>30 days). First of all, the diagnosis of sinusitis or sinus infection has to be confirmed. This can be done through transillumination (passing light through the sinuses) or Sinus X-rays or CAT scan of sinuses. Treatment of sinusitis involves Oral antibiotics (usually 10 to 14 days). They are to be taken on prescription.
Avatar n tn I know it is a bit late and we are in 2016 but ive been suffering from the exact same symptoms as you for a few months now! Ive been sneezing with nose drip and a pain at the right side of my head that goes down to my neck. Ive also been feeling that weird feeling in my head as if it's shaking in my head but when i look there is nothing . I also feel fatigue all the time! I just want to know if it turned out to be sinus or not!
Avatar f tn i have been recently waking up in the middle of the night with sneezing fits and my face puffs up and i can hardly breathe. ive been to the doctors and all they say is its a cold or a viral infection but i have never known of one last nearly 3 years! im known as sicky at work as i have always got a tissue stuck in my hand and it is generally getting me down as i havnt felt well now for a long time! has anybody experienced anything like this before?
Avatar n tn it has been more than 15 years that i sneeze about 100 times in the morning when i get up. it started with sneezing n runny nose when i was a teenager now when i am 29 yrs old it has taken a worse shape. At the time of sleeping n mostly in the middle of the night i suddenly feel a bit cold n very heavy mucous runs down my right nostril. it is so heavy that i can't even sniff it in. it makes my whole mouth dry n when not cured it blocks my nose permanently n i can't smell.
Avatar f tn I have had a horrible time with my sinus. At first I thought it was related to a new job. Then it seemed seasonal and got especially bad in the winter when the heat is on...My symptoms change with the seasons.....and atmospheric conditions...Just when I think I have things figured out...another set beck, or another variable...I am beyond frustrated...Most Drs and machine providers act like these issues do not exist OR that you just have to live with it... .I do all the things I am suppose to..
Avatar n tn The two most common causes of this are allergy and a nonallergic chronic sinusitis. I would talk with your doctor about these options. It is possible that a CT scan of the sinuses is needed to help make the diagnosis. The treatments may include antibiotics, in addition to daily use of a nasal steroid spray, depending on the results of these tests.
Avatar m tn runny nose ). sneezing became worse with the time. recently I was diagnosed with chronic sinusitis which is not going away with any medicines (I have the most symptoms than my other family members -runny nose post nasal & sneezing ) .we moved out from that house 3 months ago, but we all still sneezing a lot... I'm stressed with thinking whether this is because of that house, city or any other health issues....?
Avatar n tn I have had nasal congestion for the past 6 months, usually I can breathe out of one nostril at a time and it switches throughout the day. After dealing with it for a few weeks I was seen by my primary care physician and they said it was a sinus infection. I was given antibiotics and a nasal spray. I took those but continued to be congested (by the way whichever nostril is clogged up I would get a constant clear drainage) and started to develop a dry cough from time to time and wheezing.
Avatar f tn However, most likely since November of 2010, I have had issues with becoming ill every 2-8 weeks. For a while I assumed I was just having a bad winter and getting lots of "colds." All my episodes just felt like really bad colds, i.e. scratchy throat, developing into congestion, runny/stuffy nose, strong fatigue and mental fogginess, little bit of sneezing, etc. Sometimes I had a low fever (100.1 degrees or so) but I didn't often check my temperature.
Avatar n tn and MRI without contrast, normal EXCEPT for inflamed sinuses. Doctor diagnosed sinusitis and put me on 10-day regimen of Augmentin (I am due to finish this weekend). The lightheadedness has improved and is almost completely gone, but I still do not feel right and other symptoms remain. My biggest problem right now is extreme fatigue. I seem always to be tired, and I have been getting plenty of rest, usually at least nine hours a night.
Avatar f tn I have been sneezing for 5 weeks non stop. I can no longer hear out of my left ear due to this. My left eye is always watery and my nose goes from super dry to runny as well. I have tried Benydryl, Clariton, Nyquil and Dayquil for my sneezing. I have used ERO (ear wax removal System which has CARBAMIDE PEROXIDE in it and that is not working for my hearing either. This is the 3rd or 4th time this year this has happend. I NEED HELP!!! What is the problem and how can I fix it.
Avatar m tn seeing investigation reports. Another possibility could be a sinusitis pain that originates after mucus block and infection of sinuses. That can be resolved after draining mucus from blocked sinuses. Since you are suffering from this pain from last six months, please arrange an appointment with a neurologist right away. Hope this helps. Take Care & Regards.
Avatar n tn I’ve always lived in apartments but none with carpet. 1st complaint was that we didn’t get enough cool air in the back bedroom. So we shut off most all valves so more would push through. I considered having them check for an obstruction in the duct. The filter needed to be changed quite often. I didn’t vacuum much because I hated my vacuum. This was a brand new place with new carpet. Not used to the carpet situation. We also sweat at night in this place as well.
