Sneezing heart stopping

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing heart stopping

Avatar n tn I work in retail, and I casually told a woman I was helping that I experianced painful sneezing (she was in the middle of a sneezing fit when I was helping her). She told me she was a doctor, and that I should get my chest checked out right away, and that it could possibly be cardiac. The fact that I'm so young and have no history of heart issues worries me. So what are your thoughts? Could I have a heart issue, or do I have something as simple as a pinched nerve?
Avatar f tn Hi Holly! I understand the fear of stopping! It took me about 6 months for me to talk to my Dr about tapering and being addicted once I ralized I really wanted to stop! I did taper from hydrocodone to codeine. The codeine made me sick but I still stayed on it cause I was so afraid of WDs! After 2 weeks of that I just dumped them down the toilet, got the rest of the week off from work and jumped in!

Avatar n tn I didn't take any allergy medicine because it too cause arrhythmia. I always suspected it was the excessive sneezing that aggravated my heart into racing and skipping during allergy season. Tell us what your're feeling. Is your heart skipping, or beating quickly? Elaborate for us.
Avatar n tn Oh, and make sure you don't get dehydrated, that will cause the heart rate to go up too. I am 38 yr old female and my heart rate sometimes goes to 200+bpm during exercise. I also get pain when it's that high. Dr. put me on a beta blocker to slow the heart rate down. Check with your doctor about what might help you. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Well, last night while eating dinner I got choked by a piece of rice. I started coughing and for some reason it triggered sneezing. My heart took off to the races. Tried valsava and it didn't stop it. I felt a couple of really hard irregular thumps like I did with afib but for the most part my heart was fast but regular. I went and just sat down and in about 5 minutes or so I was back to normal.
Avatar f tn I am having a hard time stopping and I know I need to . I have taken this for a long time. First, I was prescribed this med and then I found other ways to get it. Knowbody knows I take it as much as I do. Anyone....have some advice?
Avatar n tn I am scared that this has damagd my liver and my heart, and I am now having alot of trouble sleeping. I am very scared, and really scared to tell my family and my doctor about this, and would lke help on doing this myself. If my husband were to find out he might leave me.
Avatar f tn Now I also mentioned that throughout this process I quit smoking too. I don't know if maybe this is a reason y but I cannot stop sneezing! Like really I sneeze a good 30x's a day could that be from quitting smoking? Or I it coming straight from the sub detox? I've been sleeping ok I go to bed around 10-10:30 and wake up around 4:30 I'll take that. Hopefully I'll get back to my 8 hrs soon I've always been big on sleep ;).
Avatar m tn At 40 I had a massive heart attack and have since then had 4 others. I have now been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and am now on national heart transplant listing. Like I said, there was no prior family history whatsoever so, this was totally unexpected. I don't have a cloudy history of drug or alcohol use. Do not take it lightly that you keep experiencing these symptoms and if you hide them from anyone that can get help for you, you stand alone in your secrecy.
Avatar m tn Since the first night I arrived I have had the worst allergies of my life. Constantly night and day I am sneezing and have a cough and itchy/watery eyes. I started taking a holistic allergy medication that the local pharmacist recommended called Health*Star Allergy Relief and the active ingredient is Chlorpheniramine Maleate.
Avatar n tn Then the leg cramps remained for another week and it all ended with a constant runny nose and sneezing. But I now awaken without that blah feeling which lead me to take another pill. I no long worry about getting my next supply, and most of all, I no long look at other people with envy and shame and wonder why am I on these nasty pills when others are not. I guess my point here is to say that IT WILL GET BETTER.
Avatar f tn Wow! Bless your heart. I wish that you could tell someone for support. Isn't there a doc anywhere that could help you? May I ask why you're stopping the meds if you have legit pain due to your condition and don't take more than 6 or so a day? We can help you here, but it's super important to have home support. Family, doctor, therapist, pastor, friends......something. You get the point. You could try NA. It's anonymous, so you won't have to worry with family there.
Avatar m tn It is a blood pressure medicine so I would definitely talk to a doctor if you have a heart condition. Did the prescribing doctor know of your heart condition?
Avatar f tn I suffer from an illness and pain that was the reason for being put on it in the first place. There were several reasons for stopping it, and I gotta tell you, had I known what it would be like off of it, I'd have chosen to stop much sooner. When you're on the med., you don't even know how it negatively effects you in some ways, in fact, dims you and your personality, thinking process. Now,....... It wasn't easy. Anyone who remembers what I went through, absolutely su**ed!
Avatar dr m tn Your nose has vital nervous system connections to your lungs and heart. Not breathing well through your nose can alter your heart rate and blood pressure, as well as to increasing your stress response. Your nose makes about 2 pints of mucous every day. If your nose isn't working properly and mucous isn't cleared, the stagnant mucous can lead to infections such as sinusitis or ear infections. Lastly, not breathing well through your nose can aggravate snoring or obstructive sleep apnea.
Avatar f tn Hello. :) I'm a 25 year old, 5'4", 110 lb, female. I walk or bike at least 3 times a week for 35-45 minutes. I am on birth control pills. I am adopted and have no known genetic medical history. Since October I've been experiencing chest pains and am currently experiencing my third episode. I've always been very healthy and am, therefore, concerned about this somewhat recent chest pain stuff.
Avatar m tn Lots of pounding heart and head, rushing feeling, very tired, sneezing (I actually like the sneezing LOL), runny nose....the works! The heat does make things worse, too. It was warm here today. Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better tonight. I am starting day 7 this afternoon and looking forward to getting better as my body repairs itself! You are doing so good. Going to meetings and quitting smoking and everything! I am so proud of you. Keep it up. We got this!
Avatar n tn Some patients fear they are having a heart attack. The most severe pain is usually in the lower rib area between the breast and upper abdomen. The pain may be more noticeable in sitting or reclining positions, and stress is known to aggravate this condition. Costochondritis may also be caused by trauma, such as bumping the rib cage; as a result of a viral infection; or as part of an inflammatory disease process. Usually the cause is unknown.
Avatar n tn I don't think I can do that again. Good luck to all of you that are getting off of these drugs. My heart goes out to you.
Avatar f tn ) were not that bad for me. The worst part was the rapid heart beat and anxiety. I was able to get about 5 hours of sleep last night and that really helped me today. I took hot showers and baths and they have been my saving grace. Also, I took benedryl (SP?) at night to help me sleep and imodium from day 3 to day 5. I actually ate dinner last night and enjoyed it. I feel excited about life, even though I know I have a ways to go. I just wanted to say thanks for all the encouragement.
Avatar m tn Progressively worse (since 1997) allergies (dust, general outdoors) manifesting in sinus headaches, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes. Started to take Claritin 2 months ago after stopping for 6 months (tried a honey remedy - didn't work). Not saying any of the above are related; just throwing the main ones out there. I haven't taken any medications consistently over the last 15 years except Ibuprofen.
Avatar m tn Hi! I'm assuming you work. I'd suggest stopping today(tonight). So,no more. Just toss them! You won't feel too bad to get through tomorrow. The weekend will be nasty but you know that. The important thing is to WANT to do this. If you want to,you can!! I,personally, don't have a story for you. I had to taper off my DOC. It was hard to taper and I wish I could have just stopped! But,I DO know you'll get better!
Avatar f tn Do you have any wds at all from stopping the pills? Such as: Anxiety, Confusion, Weakness, Racing Heart, Headaches, anything else that I cant think of. Just let me tell why Im asking on the forum. I am 59yrs old, there are some on here that are 40yrs old and some are 55yrs old, and we are just not feeling good at all. We get real down lately seeing all the Newbies on here saying how good they feel and act like they are doing really well.
Avatar m tn Today I feel what I consider to be normal. I was sneezing yesterday but that hasn't started today. I don't anticipate feeling any worse than I do today and if all goes well should be feeling better with each passing day.

936016 tn?1332769204 These three classical symptoms should point to the need for an HIV test, preferably one or a mix of a 4th generation HIV DUO test and/or an HIV PCR test. Both of these will allow us to make an early diagnosis with the option then of stopping a severe seroconversion illness early and preventing early immune damage and also allowing the newly infected HIV positive patient to limit the accidental further spread of HIV.
Avatar f tn I have been using a CPAP for 22 years and they only got an upper respiratory infection if I didn't keep my mask and unit clean which is my own fault they tell you to clean it every 3 to 5 days and a change out your stuff Timely but it has made such a huge difference in my life I wouldn't go without it I just need to be more on the ball when it comes to keeping it clean I have done a lot of research on sleep apnea and CPAP is a incredible connection between congestive heart failure and other hear
