Sneezing heart stopping

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing heart stopping

sneeze

Avatar f tn Well, last night while eating dinner I got choked by a piece of rice. I started coughing and for some reason it triggered sneezing. My heart took off to the races. Tried valsava and it didn't stop it. I felt a couple of really hard irregular thumps like I did with afib but for the most part my heart was fast but regular. I went and just sat down and in about 5 minutes or so I was back to normal.
Avatar n tn Pain and discomfort in the chest radiating down both arms stopping at each wrist, after sneezing, with pain lasting for several minutes and a "blah" feeling lasting for about 20 minutes.
Avatar f tn I also posted today about my heart pausing for too long, then followed by intense flip-flopping (heart trying to readjust itself). I know for a fact that my heart paused for 2-3 seconds, since I was wearing a beeping exercise monitor. I got so rattled that I called the cardiologist and the nurse thinks it may have been a skipped beat or a beat that started in the atria but never went all the way through to the ventricles, hence a long pause.
6333619 tn?1386598382 I'm 10w tomorrow and i have a slight bleed in my uterus. So I'm told no strenuous activity, lifting anything heavy and no getting my heart rate up. Sometimes when I sneeze it feels like I'm pulling a groin muscle but I'm not sure what it is. The left side (& left side only) gets real tight and tense for about 10-15 seconds and goes away. Should I be worried that its strenuous on my body?
Avatar n tn ve been using Musinex along with decongestant every day. I also stopped smoking over 2mos ago, but the congestion got way worse after stopping the Norco. All a coincidence, I don't know. It is both in my chest and sinuses. You didn't happen to stop smoking recently along with the Norco quit, did you? Congrats to you on 40 days!
Avatar f tn Apparently how it started was I had sacroiliac joint pain and a little pelvic tilt, and since I’m a little bit hypochondric (urge to search your symptoms online), I went online and googled it, and one of the points that caught my attention was that sneezing could alter your bones misalignment. And immediately, I became scared for no reason and something in my brain changed that resulted me in the inability to sneeze.
Avatar n tn I had a minor heart attack in August 2008 and I had 5 stents put in. I was started on coreg 6.25 two tmes per day. The dr recently reduced me to 3.125 because of weight gain. I am still gaining weight. I decided to stop it altogether and did not tell my dr. My resting pulse is up as well as my pulse rate upon exertion. I just stopped the coreg. Will this regulate itself in a few days.
Avatar n tn sneezing does not cause a heart attack. This is a myth. Sorry for your loss, but its ok to sneeze your head off when you have to. Trying to hold a sneeze will force the allergins or staph bacteria from your mouth into your eustation tubes, which goes directly to the middle ear and can cause infection. Holding a sneeze can also cause a nose bleed.

Avatar f tn So today is day 12 clean I feel pretty good just still kind of unmotivated and kinda low energy but whatever I keep telling myself that I am still healing. I made myself go for a jog last night and so I walked and jogged like 2 1/2 miles. Now I also mentioned that throughout this process I quit smoking too. I don't know if maybe this is a reason y but I cannot stop sneezing! Like really I sneeze a good 30x's a day could that be from quitting smoking?
2083688 tn?1334601661 not only that but they are so satisfying when you do! they actually say that sneezing is close to a tiny orgasm! i always figure you are sneezing for a reason. i don't understand why you would hold them back every time. so i challenge you to let the sneeze out and see how it feels.
Avatar m tn I'm tired of taking all the meds following a heart attack back in Jan 08. I'm still taking Plavix 75 mg/day, but have stopped the following: Niaspan - 500mg/day Toporol XL - 12.5 mg/day Lipitor - 40 mg/day Asprin - 325 mg/day I'd like to quit on the Plavix too, but read it's probably not a good idea. I have a stent in my LAD. Read that lowering cholesterol to 112 is not such a good idea, as that may be too low. Is there any danger in stopping these?
Avatar f tn so as many of you know i took lortabs for 6 months, i am in about 60 hours clean and i am a little achy but i feel ok other than that, although i did start coughin and sneezing a lot today any one know if this is normal?
Avatar f tn I am sure I already know the answer but thought I would throw it out there anyway...This is DAY 7 for me ..Yes Day 7!! I was on Vic 500, Norcos and Tramadol everyday for over a year. I quit cold turkey YES 7 DAYS ago and I still feel severe wds. My 5 day was probably the best..the sun felt good, I felt there was no stopping me ( don't get me wrong there is still no stopping me) just wondering if this is normal.
Avatar n tn I was on atenolol for 7 years and the doc has change my meds to hydrochlorothiazide. I fell good and have normal BP 125/72 but my heart rate is 90/m and doesn't slow down. Is this normal until I have more time off of the atenolol?
Avatar m tn I might have to stop taking Zoloft since my skipped heart beats seem to be increasing. I've only taken 25 mg for 6 days so far. Is it okay to stop them cold turkey? Thanks.
Avatar f tn After stopping the Oxy, I began sneezing all the time. My record is 13 sneezes in a row. My son thinks is nuts and it is. I guess the senses finaly opening up is behind the sneezing, but not sure. As far the sleep issues, I went 10 days with zero sleep, and finally had the dr. give me 12 Lunesta's which seemed to help break the cycle. I hated taking it but it did help. After the cycle was broken, slept like a baby, sometimes going to bed at 6 pm and sleeping through the night.
Avatar m tn However, the earlier skipping heart beats which I had been experiencing, had vanished. After stopping strength training and starting 40 minute walks, the heart failure symptoms disappeared, but instead I started getting NSVT episodes. My question is: why this odd disassociation between heart failure and NSVT when there ought to be a corelation? Also, which is more unsafe- heart failure symptoms without NSVT or NSVT without heart failure symptoms?
Avatar f tn Hello, My cat is 15 years old and he has been sneezing all day! At first I thought it was cute the first time because he woke me up sneezing twice. Then, later on the day he sneezed like almost 100 times. He has heart worms and my parents gave him the medicine yesterday. But I think he may be sick or have a virus! Help me please!?
Avatar n tn I was having dinner with my husband at a restaurant and while eating I sneezed several times. During the sneezing cycles I felt pain in both my arms going down to my hands, the pain in the lower extremeties of my lower arms was so severe I had to stop eating. I felt very weak for about an hour. This has happened to me before but it was milder. Is this normal to happen or does it have something to do with the heart? What should I do? Thank you...
Avatar m tn Hello. Just a quick question. I was put in metoprolol just to slow my heart rate a little ...about a month ago but it been making me feel really weird immediately after taking it for hours and hours. I contacted my doctor and his nurse told me to stop taking it over the weekend and monitor my heart rate over the weekend. However I've read it's extremely dangerous to just stop this medication and now I'm a little scared. My dose is only 12.5 mg a day.
Avatar f tn s seems like 10 minutes ago that I was working up the nerve to type my first "I'm stopping my pain meds" post.
