So, I would advise you to consult your doctor at the earliest to rule out a fracture. A plain x ray may show up a fracture.

ve been having pain in my lower back and right leg (right leg the pain has been bad since august 2013 , while sneezing and coughing . Though Not much of pain in the back) . I just got an MRI and in the report it says the following : 1. Lumberisation os S1 is seen 2. small marginal anterior osteophytes are seen at all lumber levels 3. No t2 STIR hyperintense focus is seen. 4. Diffuse disc bulge is seen at L5-S1 level indenting the theca and causing bilateral mild neural foraminal senosis.

All through out the years of having back pain, it never caused me any grief to sneeze or cough, not even after my back fusion with instrumentation in feb of this year. I became sick with a simple chest cold last week and for the first time in my life, the constant coughing and sneezing is killing my back. I'm shocked at the pain its producing. My back now feels inflammed and it hurts to walk normal. I'm just riding my cold out to see if my back pains in my fusion area goes away.

thank you factorymomma for clearing that up! i was reading and thinking someone had to stop the madness! i don't understand why you would resist a sneeze at all? its not like its impolite to sneeze or anything. not only that but they are so satisfying when you do! they actually say that sneezing is close to a tiny orgasm! i always figure you are sneezing for a reason. i don't understand why you would hold them back every time.

I am 21 and had been playing small college ball the last two years, but because of back pain and neck pain i decided i wanted to be able to walk and turn my head when i got older, so i hung up the cleats. I have just in the past few months or so began getting pain in my left arm when i sneeze. its like a burning, numbing pain and is pretty bad, i almost have to stop whatever im doing for about a minute until it goes away.

I was wondering & noticing the same thing. Plus, I also noticed while on the opiates, my allergies were mainly non-existant. Now that I am off them (12 days) I have been sneezing like crazy. I don't think I have sneezed as much as I have in the past 10 days in my whole life. Anyone else sneezing like crazy?

Several weeks ago I sneezed and held it in. I have held sneezes most of my life. After this sneeze I noticed a severe pain in my throat. I feel it all the time, eating, drinking, swallowing...but when I sneeze it hurts like heck! When I have to blow my nose and air is forced into that area it really hurts! If I have several sneezes in a row it hurts for a long time after. If I go for a few days with no sneezing or coughing, or blowing my nose then it subsides a little...but it comes back.

Okay so earlier I sneezed really hard and felt a pulling ripping feeling in my lower tummy I now have a pain on the tummy that hasn't gone away hurts to walk lay down and to turn over any ideas what I could of done?

I too have the same problem i just sneezed a bit ago and the pain started on in my back by my shoulder blade, moved down my right arm into my bicep just above the elbow, then got to my wrist where the pain was excruciating.

I remember the first time after I quit when I felt pain .It really was very overwhelming . You have a lot going on in your life right now .I have a 16 year old that graduates next year so I can totally relate to this. Its already effecting me to know this time next year she will be getting ready to go .Let your self feel again .Go threw the emotions its a very healthy thing.

When I feel a sneeze coming on (which is often with this head cold), I have to basically hold my sides and pull my knees up to my chest. If I don't, I'm in extreme agony and sometimes end up in tears.
