sleep

398059 tn?1447945633 Hi, glad you finally feel better today. Yes, sleep is critical in managing everything and sometimes you need more than others. Getting enough sleep to feel as well as possible is the challenge, though hopefully it doesn't always require sleeping a whole weekend away. I find if I don't get enough sleep it really builds up, till I kind of crash and can't get anything done. Much better to get extra rest even when you are feeling ok, to keep you feeling that way.
Avatar m tn My dear Thomas, If you are a teacher, then I am somewhat alarmed by the four spelling mistakes in your post, as well as its generally inept composition. I believe you owe it to your students to demonstrate by example the importance of learning proper writing skills. Perhaps a remedial language course would be in order.
1255530 tn?1269867619 thanks guys I will call because I have a horrible time trying to go to sleep feel like im ampt up
Avatar m tn My neediness has led me to attract questionable characters. My goal was to always have an atttractive girl to call my own to fill my enormous emotional void. Around these beautiful girls I seemed fulfilled, happy but I deep down knew it was temporary. Most of the girls I attracted weren't exactly the definition of wife material. I would try so hard to change them all knowing the unfavorable end result. As long as they were attractive and interested, I was game.
393685 tn?1425812522 Labs -- the importance of testing the proper parameters; and how to interpret results in relation to the reference ranges, etc. Symptoms -- the importance of treating according to symptoms, as much or more so, than the labs.
Avatar f tn Does it not occur to these men that we have usually caught this from MALES that have failed to disclose it to us. Do our feelings not occur to them? I would not take it as sexist if I ever saw similar comments targeted at men but they never are. Me and my partner have known about out herpes for six months and whilst he is dealing with it fine it is breaking me because of things like this, I cannot deal with having to read things like this every time I look for help.

233272 tn?1239002224 If you are using a pain medication and it allows you to work, hang out with people, and eat. What good is there is trying to get off it or trying to find that "100% Pain Free Feeling"? Is it not better to have your pain level in check?
1363810 tn?1279225671 Hi All, I started my new job last week and everything went really well. Thinking tasks are much harder than they used to be and I can't say that I have a real strategy for making them easier, except that I'm trying to make sure I take decent notes and transcribe these right away. That's helping. I've also noticed that I feel more needy, for lack of a better term. Less confidence, perhaps. I've got to find a way to either hide this or compensate for it.
13718054 tn?1432204975 Today is such a hard for me... My X and I haven't been split up but for two weeks... Before that we were together for over a year... We have one child together and our 2nd on the way due in November... And he became abusive so I left... But at night I'm so use to him being next to me... Holding me reassuring me that everything will be okay... Talking to my stomach to our unborn and watching our almost 6month old girl sleep... It's like when things were good it was fairytale good...
Avatar f tn Hi, what exactly does she mean by slow? There is a lot of variability in 5 year olds and some come to school with a wide span of knowledge and others don't. She's comparing your child to the others in his peer group which may not be fair if this is his first school experience and not theirs. But I would try to listen to her and figure out exactly what she is telling you.
Avatar m tn Cocoa1246, I to was at one point "frozen" with not knowing where to start. I am no expert and I hope someone with much more knowledge and experience than I have helps you soon. Not knowing your health challenges or your current weight or fitness level I can only offer a general insight.
Avatar f tn Whereas, a regular meditation practice can produce a more relaxed system -- you just don't want to do it when you're trying to go to sleep!
1028452 tn?1537448484 Boy did I need the water yesterday I think my sugar levels wre up and down ,not a great day ...
649848 tn?1534633700 Ok - I guess I just don't understand this whole thing so maybe someone can help me out. As I've posted before, I was diagnosed hypo back in June and I just went to dr today for follow up to get results of recent blood work. Free T-4 was 1.3 (range: 0.8 - 1.8) TSH was 0.12 (range 0.40 - 4.50) My synthroid was cut back from 88 mcg to 75 mcg based on the TSH result I had thought Free T-3 was on the lab order, but there was no result for it, so I questioned that.
Avatar f tn Thats what im doing with this pregnancy. If i couldnt get in to the doctor over there i was going to drive to this other doc i like. He is 1 hour and 30 minutes away.
Avatar f tn I am 24 and for the past 7-8 years have had health problems that no doctor has been able to figure out. I faint very easily, several times a week. I am very lightheaded most of the time. I am constantly tired and hurt. I am also either really hot that I am pouring sweat or freezing to death. I have a neuroligist that is considering the fact that I have dysautonomia. My question is to do with heart rate. Normally, my heart rate is 55-60 bpm.
Avatar m tn Secondly, excessive daytime sleepiness can be due to sleep-wake cycle disorder like in night shifts, sleep apnea and other sleep-related breathing disorders, psychiatric disorders like anxiety, depression and schizophrenia, diabetes, obesity, restless leg syndrome, use of drugs or alcohol and narcolepsy(Abnormal sleep disorder leading to excessive daytime drowsiness). In your case,I feel that all is related to stress and anxiety and allergic rhinitis.
1309535 tn?1297200280 Wow, thanks for sharing your background too. I'm sorry that you too had to deal w/this and while pregnant. That's so bad. I hope you feel better soon, especially since they increased you to 150. I'm trying to do everything that I can to feel better and cure myself such as, exercise, I'm trying to sleep, but I have trouble sleeping, I'm talking to a therapyst, and taking the meds. I just wished I knew what was causing me to get this way.
Avatar m tn Sleep is a key factor to watch in learning to manage your bipolar disorder. I find when I'm headed towards depression, I sleep a lot, but when I'm headed towards mania, I sleep less and less until sometimes I reach no sleep for days. However, if you're sleeping a lot and you're not depressed and don't notice any other symptoms typical for when you swing into your depressive periods, you might bring it up to a doctor because it could be symptomatic of other things.
Avatar f tn I am incredibly sad to read your post about the passing of Summer. She seemed to be a genuinely sweet girl/woman and was very thought\ful in her notes and posts. I just can't believe it...how tragic...what a horrible loss for her family and friends... And, I am also deeply saddened by the loss of Ryan. He is an incredibly knowledgeable young man who benefited this forum greatly.
Avatar m tn I only take 1.5 norco 6 days a week for sleeping. I recently quit for a couple days and wanted to see how I would feel. The first night I did not sleep well at all. Maybe only slight WD'S since Im not a heavy user. The secong night I took 2 valarian Root capsules and slept better than I have in two years. You may want to try it.
1377983 tn?1296516718 s almost overwhelming to even begin to fix things. Upsetting even, to the point of wanting to just get more drugs. I know that's just my addict brain talking, but the crying jags out of nowhere, the futility of this process... all of it is almost too much to bear. I successfully quit for three years while living in MInneapolis, partially because there wasnt any script mills or a black market up there, but I think my support system was better perhaps.
1615999 tn?1307461942 s sleep was much like you describe, but it was back before sleep apnea was even on the radar. Sometimes longstanding sleep apnea can cause changes to the heart that might be evident on autopsy, but is not always the case. Sleep apnea does increase risk of a cardiac event or a stroke when the oxygen levels drop in the blood due to lack of air intake for which the heart tries to compensate. Big stress on the body.
Avatar f tn I started reading about them and they did kind of scare me. It really helps to calm my nerves down and get me to sleep, it seems like when I take the lexapro my initial reaction is that I am tired, but then I become wired and anxious... Thank you for sharing your experiences though I really appreciate it. I hope that you too are feeling well.
