175734 tn?1225134440 My favorite music comes from Josh Ritter, not a band, but a great singer/songwriter. I love his lyrics.
Avatar f tn If i have headphones in can my baby here the music or do i have to put something to my tummy?
Avatar f tn Music moves the soul... and can get baby grooving while still in the womb, too! I thought it'd be fun to see what everyone listens to and list their favorite bands and songs. I'm always looking for more bands and music in the genres I like to listen to and it's always fun to see who listens to what because sometimes it can be surprising (like most people assume I like pop by looking at me but I actually rock out to alternative Christian music).
Avatar f tn Here is a game for Music Lovers: The first person would post the name of a singer or a band, and the next person would have to list some songs that they made. After listing at least two songs, they would then post the next singer or band. The game would then continue so forth. Let's have fun with this!!! I hope you will enjoy this game!!!!
Avatar m tn Hi, I find that I sleep better when I have background sound on from the computer. Mainly I listen to sounds of waves ( http://www.calmingwaves.com ) or white noise ( http://www.simplynoise.com ). However, it would be nice to also have a cd with relaxing music. I just wanted to ask if you have any suggestions on music which works extra well for sleep.
Avatar n tn i feel for you and you are not alone. i have a music obsession. i was in band for a long time and listen to it with a passion. i have bipolar disorder, anxiety, and am in recovery. i flipped out when i lost all my music. i actually started to hear like my own radio station playing in my head. it was super weird. it is funny i came accross your post rarely do i hear it anymore, but i have been going through some way hard stuff late ly. i heard it yesterday first time which freaked me out.

Avatar f tn Just curious, and since virtually everyone loves music, what is you're fav. Music genre? Fav bands? Fav songs? I personally love heavy metal, love bands like Slipknot, Mudvayne, Pantera, Lamb of God..etc. However I love classic rock, Queen, Bad co. Kansas, etc. I'm also in love with Amy Lee (from Evanescence) voice. Love that band.. yes, I have a soft side lol.
Avatar m tn LOL I had no idea they were that concerned about people shooting at concerts because of the proliferation of video phones etc in existence, but I guess they are still worried that someone will make money off of their bootleg shots. With all the electronics today its tough for a band to make money selling their cd's etc. so for a good part they rely on spin-off marketing (concert tours and all the t shirts, posters and other paraphenalia to make a buck). And what a buck!
Avatar m tn but yesterday and i went to a concert, it was very loud. and im used to being arround loud of music, cause i play in a band, and im always going to concerts. but after i got home my ears were buzzing really loud. and sure ive experience this before. but when tryed to go to sleep i could still hear the drums and the people talkin, it was almost like my mind recorded all the sounds from the show and played it back when i went to sleep.
272759 tn?1270485594 thank you, that does make me feel better. that is funny...did her baby really need dance music to fall asleep? hehe.

Avatar f tn My favorite is music from the "big band era" the 1940's, I also love big band jazz and easy listening. I like Glenn Miller Stan Kenton Maynard Ferguson Buddy Rich Woody Herman LOL, I imagine you have not heard of them, but, trust me, they are terrific.
Avatar f tn My favourite band are playing this weekend!! I really want to see them but I'll be 24wks then. Has anyone been to concert when pregnant.
1457759 tn?1292280051 With my first pregnancy I spent many many hours at band practices...couped up in small rooms or basements with instruments hooked to amps. My daughter is now a VERY BIG music fanatic, she's in band at school and just really loves anything to do with music. especially rock and alternative which is what the bands I hung around wtih back then played.

Avatar f tn Could you incorporate like a college band idea into it? Or like a band section for the football theme? Then you can add the megaphones and whatever instruments, etc.
4059843 tn?1541419296 S incase any of you need this information to clarify your opinion, well i do pull the rubber band very far. The rubber band i use is also a very tough and thick one. It leaves red marks sometimes for a few hours,.Although the longest and the toughest marks i had 3-5 days.

Avatar f tn I'm sorry for posting so much, there's just so many questions and doctors don't have ALL the answers. I like asking you ladies out there about your input and advice for these types of things. So, I'm a college student and my life is basically revolved around researching studies and articles online and I have heard and read that classical music helps the developing baby's brain. What are your thoughts about this? Have any other mom's done this and noticed anything?
