I have been on Armor for 8 years now. I had a hysterectomy two years ago and then had my annual thyroid tests done. After the doctor tried to convince me to change medication, she then reduced my thyroid meds by 30 gr. I had been on 90 gr for years and all symptoms were gone. she lowered it because the TSH was testing at .37 (normal for Armor)
History - from 2001 to 2006
TSH range from 2001 to 2006 .4 to .57
T4 range from 2001 to 2006 .7 to 1 (.8 to 1.
No, just because Armour has both T3 and T4, does not make it "better". As I said before, it's best for some, not for others, because not everyone needs that much T3; that's why I'd asked for your actual levels, to help determine whether or not it might be best for you.
So when I sleep I like to switch sides. Lately when I do I feel pain in my stomach. Its hard to describe but it leaves me moaning til the pain goes away. I thought maybe if I don't eat and drink before bed then it wouldn't happen. I have yet to test that theory lol. Should I be concerned?
I've been taking 60mg of armor thyroid for about 10 days and have noticed my symptoms like tiredness achiness and constipation have worsened. Could the Armor thyroid be causing this?
My TSH is 6.230
T3 reverse is 9.8
T4 direct is 0.
My doc recently doubled my Armor dosage from 120mg to 240mg taken simultaneously. Has anyone experienced this dramatic of an increase? Wouldn't this be the equivalent of 400mcg of levoxyl or synthroid? Hashi's ...been on Armor about 10 mos...switched from Levoxyl 150mcg to 90mg Armor...upped to 120mg in Nov....now DOUBLED?

About two weeks ago I saw a large whitehead pop up on my 7 year old daughters side, much like a fire ant bite. After a few days, however, it became hard under the skin like a boil, always with a white head. It was painful to her and hot to the touch. I applied hot compress and after about a week it ruptured just like a boil and it eventually started to heal. Then two more popped up not far from the original. There are never more than two at a time.
Its not painful or uncomfortable I rub my ear and it stops_ it also feels like laying on one side and ear goes to sleep. My SI pain is about a 5 all the time. I take 30 mg of armor thyroid, and 10 mg of lexapro a day I don't take any pain medication'. A neurosurgeon did my laminectomy.
I also developed high BP with my last injection a week ago and I'm on 5 mg of meds for that until it levels out.
I am a female police officer, and wonder about breast health due to wearing ill fitting body armor. The vest my department provides is not cut with cups for the breasts. The breast are compressed on a constant basis. Besides the obvious uncomfort, are there any health concerns that I could present to my department in hopes of obtaining better body armor. There is a company that only makes vests for women, but they are more expensive than others.
I am so scared that I have herpes - on my arm...and I can't find photos on the Internet. All the photos on the Internet are WAY extreme...About 5 days ago, I noticed a wierd scab thing on the forearm of my left arm. I put a band-aid over it in "precaution" to spread anything wierd...It never oozed, it never hurt, I don't think it ever really itched. It's just a scabby looking thing, with a line in the center...probably no bigger than a caper.
I am now on armor thyroid. Very interestingly, right after taking the covid vaccine (moderna in my case), I feel the need to reduce the dose of my thyroid medication. This happens for every single vaccine shot that I took.
Before my first shot, I was on 120 to 135mg armor thyroid daily. I was initially not aware of the effects on my thyroid and still maintained the same dose after the shot. I was not able to fall asleep and had frequent heart palpitations.
I am hypo. On Armor for many years now with occasional changes based on blood work. Started on Cytomel about a year ago and again gradually increased. I started taking Armor Thyroid 15 mg. What amount are you taking. I was told today to increase my Armor in 4 weeks to 60 mg that is high I think. What was your experience?
From 2006 to Feb 2008, I was on Armor Thyroid. The last dose was 3.5 grains. My TSH kept going up with each dose increase. The Endo I was seeing didn't know why.
I left that Endo & now see MD who has me on 25 mcg Cytomel 3x daily.
My TSH as of yesterday's blood draw is 25.75. My FT4 is .39 (.61-1.76 range) and FT3 is 3.2 (2.3-4.2 range).
Is my TSH eratic because of Hashimotos?
I won't take Synthroid again.
Currently on day 36 off subs of which I was on them for 6 yrs. I hear ya on the mo sleep but I promise u, u will be passing out REALLY soon! It came about 25 days in for me. And I had access to xanex but I was petrified to take them as to not prolong the w/d. Didn' t want to trade one drug for another. How are u feeling other than the lack of sleep cause my brain still feels like a bowl of pudding....but definately better than day 10! I know u know what I'm saying!
I have just recently switched to Armor and my mental fogginess has cleared and I would really like to give it a chance. But, I have developed a UTI! I am prone to them but, I have read that Armor causes them! I was put on an antibiotic that somewhat cleared up the symptoms, was told 7 days later the culture did not grow anything and now a week after that the symptoms are back again! I don't want to give up on Armor because I do believe it is making me feel better?
