Avatar f tn Im finally starting to grow out of my shirts :/ i feel like its too late to shop maternity ! Lol 33 weeks and im almost there!
Avatar f tn I got a black maternity band from target and wore that under shirts for a while. It was under $20. Then I got some maternity clothes at the thrift store. I plan to use the band under shirts again post partum when I can stop wearing maternity clothes.
Avatar f tn Im 36 weeks and still fit into some of my pre-pregnancy jeans.
4456827 tn?1363378247 I gave up on jeans at 8 weeks cuz they were super uncomfortable! As for shirts, Im 22 weeks so I wear long shirts so it covers my belly. But if you have to buy new clothes I suggest going to a used clothes store, so you're not spending tons of money on clothes you're not gonna wear after pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I use a rubber band to hold my pants together, and buy the least amount of new clothes I can. Also I got a belly band to hid my belly and still wear current clothes.
Avatar n tn ) just remember the shirts need to be long or you'll show the waist band on the maternity jeans when you bend over :/
Avatar f tn As for shirts, I have a lot of loose-fitting shirts anyway, so I may not need any actual maternity shirts for quite awhile. Good excuse to go shopping, though! Have fun! We have a snow day today!!
Avatar f tn I do have a belly band I use to hold my pants up instead of the buttons. And I wear longer under shirts under my t-shirts. Going to buy a nice maternity shirt for my upcoming baby shower. I do have maternity work pants though, can't get away with the belly band for long with ems pants.
2100308 tn?1388496839 What I need is some long shirts that cover better, then its less of an issue if I unbutton my pants and keep them closed with a rubber band.
Avatar f tn If u do decide to wear maternity clothing, go with smalls. I was a size 4 in jeans and typically a size small in shirts. My jeans started feeling tight early on but didn't get a belly until i was like 18 weeks and I am almost 25 weeks now. Hope this helps!
349463 tn?1333571576 I got a few thing from Motherhood Maternity and Old Navy. I think bottoms are fairly true to size but shirts were smaller. I'm normally a medium and had to get smalls in most of my maternity shirts. Until the very end...
849762 tn?1288184748 I have heard this to be a very common symptom of early pregnancy. Women feel as though they are almost already showing in the early weeks because of the bloating. Drink plenty of water and Congrats!!
Avatar f tn ve been browsing seasonal clearance and getting large loose fitting shirts to wear as I am growing out of my current shirts and only picking up maternity shirts if $15 or less on sale/clearance.
Avatar f tn m a stomach sleeper and when I rolled over to sleep on my stomach. .i got the cramp from hell. How rude lol I bet I won't do it again!
11970398 tn?1443134602 I just didnt know which way to go because some of my pants fit good still but others the button cuts into my waist and i think theyll b to big if i do the hair tie trick
Avatar f tn Can anyone help me get a good, dry nights sleep? I am 49 & in mi cycle menopause. I use RX bio-identical hormones but am still having flashes from hell. This is all a nightmare and I FEEL like a truck has hit me daily. Have had all the same tests for arthritis...all negative but ache all day. There has got to be something out there....
Avatar f tn I recently went maternity clothes shopping and the lady at the store told me to buy the same size as I was pre-pregnancy. As the pants have a belly band and the shirts are rouched at the belly, it will allow for the growing belly. However, don't start shopping until you need to, no point if you still fit in your clothes.
268356 tn?1236002604 Motherhood Maternity has a line with a 'secret fit belly' that are great. Even as you get further along they are still comfortable. I was given a bunch of stuff from Old Navy from a cousin. I've have heard others talk about how they liked Old Navy stuff. Also - to make your pre-pregnancy pants stretch longer - try a 'Bella Band'. They have ones like them at Old Navy - some stores sell them by name. You can find them on-line too. They come in solids or patterns.
Avatar f tn I am 15 weeks with my second and dont need maternity clothes yet. I have dug out my tote full though! I mostly bought maternity clothes from thrift stores at great prices and you can be picky if they arent styles you like you just dont buy them. No pushy sales people! I definetaly needed maternity clothes last pregnancy and expect i will again so i personally wouldnt want to but bigger clothes to have to turn around and buy maternity clothes. I liked outfits that you can grow with.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure about shirts, but if you can still fit in your pre pregnancy pants (other than your belly), I recommend getting th en belly button band. I ordered 2 of them and I can wear my normal jeans and leave them unbuttoned/unzipped and the band has a button and elastic band that secures your pants in place comfortably. My pants don't fall down or feel like they aren't fastened. I love the belly button band!
Avatar f tn So unless the shirt covers the band you can still tell. Also my t shirts are now tight and I look fat in them. So it is obvious to people that know me.
8171562 tn?1408628833 ll probably see how long the rubber band trick and belly band works once I start needing them.
Avatar f tn I'm 11 weeks & ordered some clothes from walmart & burlington. I usually wear a medium in shirts & a 9 in pants. My mom suggested I get everything large since I will grow. I'm not really showing now, but I tried the pants on & it said they were a 12/14 & were baggy in the thighs. Should I return them for a medium?? I have 90 days to do so. Also what kind of underwear did yall buy when you got bigger?
280369 tn?1316702041 m sure I will be soon. All of the shirts I got are maternity, but they can be worn when not pregnant, so they would be good after I have the baby as well. Makes me feel like I am not just buying clothes for a certain period of time, but can wear them whenever and really get my money's worth! Just had to share. We are very careful on how much we spend now, and Ross is an awesome place to go if you have one near you. Just wanted to share!!
1911870 tn?1345419009 First to go was buying a bigger bra, and then some pants with the soft, elastic band at the top instead of the tight waistband. I think I got the bigger bra pretty early, and the pants in the 14th week or so.
9525685 tn?1410800512 Save money!!!! Buy the belly band. It's somewhere between 16-32 dollars. With it, I still wear my same pants!!! I didn't buy any shirts because I have regular shirts that are big around the waist plus my hubby's clothes! If you still want to buy maternity clothes, go to h&m, their cheap and stylish! !!!
