I am experiencing severe stomach pain like someone is sticking a knife into my stomach. I get really gassy and have heartburn or my chest hurts. My mom seems to think it because I am not drinking enough water and I am dehydrated. I just dont think she is right because I am drinking water. The pain hurts so bad lately that it has made me stop running when Im trying to get ready for my season/tryouts coming up in a week.
what i found helpful is to drink some water 1/2 hour before running and alot after running. usually you can tell if your past dehydration when running when you have cotton mouth and white stuff on your mouth (severe dehydration) and try to eat something lite 1 hour before running . like a piece of pb toast or a apple. and i must tell you running everyday is going to whack you out.
This pain occurs though when I am not on my period. Sometimes after running a mile it is so intense I have to lay down until it goes away. The pain usually doesn't last more than 10 min. The more intense the workout the more intense the pain. It does not feel like it is a type of muscle pain. Is there something serious going on, or is this normal? If it's normal how do I make it stop?
If you find the cause of this please make an update post. I also am suffering from this almost to a tee. Severe stomach pain. Abdominal shooting pains all over upper and lower abdomen. Oddly colored BM's. This is awful. Maybe see about getting her to get a CT scan or an abdominal ultrasound and blood work. I think that is what i'm going to shoot for to try and get to the bottom of this. I think I have pancreatic ca but i'm only 26 and that is rare but possible.
I have, for quite some time now, been subject to severe, chronic stomach pains. The location of the pain is only in the lower left part of my abdomen. The pains don't occur very often, minor bouts occur maybe once every other month. There have been, however, a few episode that put me in such pain I couldn't move or eat or drink. The pain would last anywhere from five to eight hours. The last time a bout like that occurred was in October of 2008.
Bf is having severe lower right stomach pain ,throwing up yellow substance, sweats, no appetite...was diagnosed with gerd but hospital didn't really do any test to see if it could possibly b anything else n these medications are not working ...he does not sleep...help wIth what this could b this doctor is not helpful....
Hey i had my gallbladder removed in March 2008 and I was having like major stomach pains i would have sweat beads pop out on my head and everything when the pains would start after i ate and i was running to the bathroom after i would eat.
Hi. I am 22 years old. I have had severe stomach pains ever since I can remember. I have been hospitalized about once a year for the past 4 years. Every time I was diagnosed with possible ulcers and GERD. I was also diagnosed with H. Pylori and underwent an antibiotic regiment and have since tested negative. 3 months ago I had an attack and they determined it was appendicitis. I had emergency surgery and lo-and-behold! Still having severe stomach cramps.
I just finished my two years of tamoxifen and start my arimidex this week. I recently developed severe stomach pains with cramps, diarrhea and what feels like acid indigestion that has lasted for almost a week. Everything I swallow with the exception of water, makes me hurt terribly. We were in Costa Rica when it started so my G.P. thinks it's either a parasite or a staff infection. I wondered if it could be from my chemo and radiation treatments.
t think it is food poisoning, only because the stomach pains were not severe and no vomiting. Just pain in the lower part of the abdomen at times. Just hear & there stomach ache. Put will ask about the Giardia. For we live in the South, and of course they boys are always out riding bikes etc on trails. Thank you again for your response. My 13 yr. old daughter has started experiencing lower stomach pains while running during PE and basketball practice. She has been unable to complete the required mile and says the pain is quite intense. She ran track last spring and was able to run more than that without any problems. She also played competive summer basketball without any problems with the running. She is 5' 7'' and weighs about 125 lbs.
Strange that...... Maybe the water is hitting your stomach to hard? seriously thats the only thing I can think of.... ? If it goes away and happens only when you shower - dont be concerned..... maybe its the way you standing...or stretching to wash your hair or whatever... ..
