I am a 34 year old male, with chronic right side(back and stomach) pain. The pain is to the right of my belly button and a little bit below my rib cage. It is pretty severe(to the touch) I recently had a full GI test which was normal. I also had my appendix removed. The pain is severe when I wake up in the morning. I have constant diarrhea. After I pass the diarrhea the pain subsides but will come back in a few hours.
I tried eating some cheese dip a month ago and woke up in extreme pain on my right side that spread across my stomach, threw up and had to go to the ER. The dr swore it was my gallbladder but all tests (blood, ultrasound and HIDA scan) were normal. I tried eating 1 cookie 2 weeks ago with my egg whites and woke up with the same pain just not as severe but I didn't throw up this time. Now I hurt all day long (right middle side).
for the past 2 or 3 years i've had stomach pains that would come and go once in a while so i tryed not eating dairy which seemed to help for a little but after a few months the stomach pains returned. other then a few stomach pains i've been really healthy and almost never get sick. i'm now 15 and for the past 7 months the stomach pains have gotten alot worse and more often. i also have severe diarrhea almost everyday and had blood in my stool for about 2 week but it just went away.
Hi. a couple of days ago i have start to have stomach pains only on the right side.it has got worse. my temp is 99.2 thats a little hight for me (i stay in the 98.2 97.3 range) i have noticed that the pain is also in my right arm and right side of my neck..what could be the cause of this pain and how do i treat it??
At this point the pain moved to the center of my stomach, around my belly button. The pain was severe contracting pains. I spent two days in the hospital on I.V's and liquid diet. It took about 4 days after until I regained my strength. But, the right side pain never went away.
Since then I have had a colonoscopy, a lower abdomen/bowel C.T with contrast, an upper abdomen ultrasound and so far have no answers. I went to a G.
I'm 2 months in my first but i have light pain on my right side idk if it's normal but me and my boyfriend got in a argument yesterday could something be wrong with my baby!!
So on Wednesday last week I felt a sharp stomach pain on my left side (right for you). It went away and I didn't notice it anymore till the next day on Thursday when I was about to go to bed I was tossing and turning. The sharp pain in my stomach came back again but this time on my right side (left for you) and it lasted longer. My stomach felt weird and there was discomfort for the rest of the night. On Friday I noticed the pain would come and go through out the day and I became worried.
I have been having these pains on my right side just below my ribs. I went to my GI doctor and he gave me a endoscopy and said, I had a hiatal hernia and barrett's esophagus. I told him I thought it was Irritable bowel syndrome since I have been having alot of gas pains and some diarreha. I asked him if there was something that he could give me for it and he said, no. I had been taking Bentyl, but it stopped working. Then he gave me Zelnorm, but stopped it because he said it was dangerous.
all my pain started on the right side. In the Illieum. This is where the small intestine meets the large and where I had to have my first surgery. Turns out the pain was an indication of scar tissue and narrowing of the intestine along with inflamed areas. Once removed the pain subsided. Might be the same area/problem.
OR Appendix !!! Either way, nothing to mess around with. Go to a gastroenterologist ASAP

Hey ladies so this is my first and I get a little nervous cuz I don't know what's normal and what's not. I have my first prenatal appt on Monday and I'm about 5 weeks. I know the cramping is normal but the past 2 days I've been getting random sharp like pinching pains in my uterus on the sides. It doesn't last very long only a few seconds, can anyone tell me if they too have had this?
In mid April I started having abdominal pain on the left side. The pain was mainly right below my rib cage and on the lower left side. I also had some small bursts of pain by my heart and on the lower right side, where my large intestine starts. The pain would worsen when I ate and would practically go away when I passed a stool. And when I was hungry my stomach would start to tighten up.
I am 34 weeks today. I've been having this pain on the left side of my stomach. It normally starts when I walk for more than 10min. The baby is fine, she kicks and moves normally. This pain started last week. Its just this pain then my stomach becomes really hard.
I am only seeing my gynae next friday. Is this something I should worry about?
Ive had this niggling pain in my right side half way up the ribs for a few weeks on and off then 9 days ago it was quite severe. I was admitted to hospital where they said it was gallstones, an ultrasound showed nothing. I came home after one night. My chest xray was clear. The camera into my stomach showed gastritis, ( inflammation of the lining of my stomach). Gp thinks its inflammation of the intercostal muscles but it doesn't hurt when i move, when i eat i get severe pain.
this was about 7 weeks ago now, the headaches were like electric shock pains shooting near the wound at first, now, i have aches in my neck (Doctor said it was whiplash from the fall) now the pains are in the neck, but severe in the rightn side of my head, the pain increases when i shout which i think is because i am moving my neck, or if i try to shout at teh kids, the pain is unbearable, i am walking around holding my head all the time for the pain.
I just finished my two years of tamoxifen and start my arimidex this week. I recently developed severe stomach pains with cramps, diarrhea and what feels like acid indigestion that has lasted for almost a week. Everything I swallow with the exception of water, makes me hurt terribly. We were in Costa Rica when it started so my G.P. thinks it's either a parasite or a staff infection. I wondered if it could be from my chemo and radiation treatments.
she is unable to sleep on her left side, if she does she gets pains on the left part of her stomach area. she will always get it for sure if she lays on that side. She has been to drs many times and they say it could be IBS and nothing to worry about even though her bowll movemenrt is perfectly fine and no blood.
what can this be, what are the ebsts tests to check for, shes getting worried these days as shes had it for soo long and has began to think it could be a cancer or a tumour.
From the age of 11, I have been getting severe stomach pains just under the ribs which last for one to two hours. The pains have never been predictalble and I have no idea what sets them off. I am 23 now and I'm getting sick and tired of the problem. The pain is on the left one time and the right at other times. The only thing I can link to it is sometimes if I skip a meal I'll get hungry and then straight afterwards it hits.
