I have, for quite some time now, been subject to severe, chronic stomach pains. The location of the pain is only in the lower left part of my abdomen. The pains don't occur very often, minor bouts occur maybe once every other month. There have been, however, a few episode that put me in such pain I couldn't move or eat or drink. The pain would last anywhere from five to eight hours. The last time a bout like that occurred was in October of 2008.
I just finished my two years of tamoxifen and start my arimidex this week. I recently developed severe stomach pains with cramps, diarrhea and what feels like acid indigestion that has lasted for almost a week. Everything I swallow with the exception of water, makes me hurt terribly. We were in Costa Rica when it started so my G.P. thinks it's either a parasite or a staff infection. I wondered if it could be from my chemo and radiation treatments.
Now I’m at the stage where every time I eat, my stomach gurgles and churns really loudly, then I get the pains. I also have the feeling like I want to burb and throw up at the same time. I sometimes get (what feels like) hot flushes when its really bad. I don’t see the gastroenterologist for another 2 months, and Im going to try a naturopath. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?
I had pains similar to this when I found out I was lactose intolerant. I couldn't eat enough and oddly enough I craved a lot of the food that was causing the problem. Just a thought...once I cut out the dairy, it took several weeks but the pains went away. I have been lactose free for almost 12 years. Now, have problems with Gall Bladder but that is a whole other story.
Hi. I am 22 years old. I have had severe stomach pains ever since I can remember. I have been hospitalized about once a year for the past 4 years. Every time I was diagnosed with possible ulcers and GERD. I was also diagnosed with H. Pylori and underwent an antibiotic regiment and have since tested negative. 3 months ago I had an attack and they determined it was appendicitis. I had emergency surgery and lo-and-behold! Still having severe stomach cramps.
It was a 7 days course. I was asypmtomatic though. Upon second day of antibiotics course I developed severe upper stomach pain which has almost disabled me it feels like someone has punched me in upper stomach, but even though I was in so much pain I continued taking antibiotics for 7 days to complete the course, big mistake, I was dying everyday. It has been 5 months with no relief.
Endoscopy, blood tests, ultrasound all came back normal.
From the age of 11, I have been getting severe stomach pains just under the ribs which last for one to two hours. The pains have never been predictalble and I have no idea what sets them off. I am 23 now and I'm getting sick and tired of the problem. The pain is on the left one time and the right at other times. The only thing I can link to it is sometimes if I skip a meal I'll get hungry and then straight afterwards it hits.
Hi everyone, here's my problem. Since last Wednesday I've been getting stomach pains that can be from Mild to extreme in pain, I had constipation but the laxatives finally caught up with me and that is no longer an issue, but going to the toilet provides only temporary relief, and whenever I eat food the pain comes back. I can't focus in school, I roll around in my bed when it's really bad. I just want to know what's wrong with me.
s usually worst when my stomach is empty in the morning and then when i eat something the pain usually subsides. Honey seems to be the best for it. Every time i eat a spoonful of honey it just goes away for the rest of the day. But every day when i wake up, its back!
This is why i think it may be a stomach ulcer. When there is no food in my stomach the acid inside starts to attack the ulcer causing pain. But when i eat, the acid digests the food and leaves the ulcer alone.
I'm really hoping someone can help me...
I've been experiencing horrible gastric pain for about a straight year now. I have been to 2 specialists and I am still not satisfied with what they believe to be wrong with me. I have been tested for everything under the sun; results show no Crohn's. no Celiac, no Pancreas issues, no reflux, no bacteria, no parasites, no Gallbladder issues, etc.
If you find the cause of this please make an update post. I also am suffering from this almost to a tee. Severe stomach pain. Abdominal shooting pains all over upper and lower abdomen. Oddly colored BM's. This is awful. Maybe see about getting her to get a CT scan or an abdominal ultrasound and blood work. I think that is what i'm going to shoot for to try and get to the bottom of this. I think I have pancreatic ca but i'm only 26 and that is rare but possible.
I'm 22 weeks and for the last couple of days I have had off and on stomach pains. I was gonna mention it to my Dr on Thursday but it didn't hurt today and if i don't feel that pain till Thursday should I still mention it to the Dr . It is 2 different pains there is a sharp pain and then also it feel like in just have a stomach ache.
Hi I've been having these issues too first started off in lower right abdomen up to navel and back to right side flank , now it's moved from the lower right to my back on walking and after food my whole stomach feels like I've got immense gas causing stomach pains , I've been in hospital and the stupid doctor sent me home failed to tell me I was highly anemiac (get that checked out) and they still don't know what the problem is , my recent docs appointment surgessted my intes
Hi everyone I have a quick question. I just got over the flu I was sick for about 4 days I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I should be fine. But I'm not fine. Everytime I try to eat anything whether it's something soft like yogurt or something hard like regular food I end up getting severe pains in my stomach and it's followed by severe heartburn. Sometimes it feels like the food is stuck at the point where my esophigus meets my stomach.
Hi, I'm a 24 year old female. I have been having abdominal pains for about 2 years now. I have gone to the emergency room for it at least 3 times. In the last 3 or 4 months I have noticed more symptoms. I don't know if I'm noticing them because I'm more focused on feeli ... [More] ng or if I maybe making them up. The stomach pains I get are gradual and If I don't take my muscle relaxers they get progressively worse quite quickly.
