severe stomach pain during the night

Am 8weeks pregnancy, and I feel pain in my stomach during night..ultasound seems th baby is okey.but I do know why I feel so much pain.is it ok for the first pregnancy or is there any problem.?

I have recently begun to wake during the night due to pain in my lower body that I attribute to the o-arthritis. I mean, one minute I am sleeping, and the next minute I am awake and in lots of pain - especially in my knees and my legs. As you can imagine, this is very disruptive, and I feel as though this crazy arthritis is taking over and ruining my life!! I'm a side sleeper, and I've noticed that I will also experience a lot of pain if I don't switch sides frequently.

If she does use pain medication, make sure she takes it at the absolute first sign of pain/cramping because if she waits until the pain is bad, it's already too late for the medication to be effective. Avoiding caffeine can help, along with using a heating pad or taking a warm bath. If the pain does not respond to all of the above, then make a doctor's appointment to talk about better ways of handling the pain. Hope it all goes well.

last night it acted up worse than ever, it lasted for close to 12 hours, and the only thing that soothed the pain is when i went to the emergency room and that gave me oral lidocaine, which worked for about a half hour. i am so tird of dealing with this. the doctors looked for ulcers and said they couldnt find anything. so pretty much im left with no answers and a very sore stomach. please help!

I would like to welcome you the Pain Management forum. As you already know we are a community of chronic pain patients. I wish there were a doctor at least monitoring this forum but there is not. But we do offer support, advice and friendship to other chronic pain patients. I am so sorry to hear of your plight. It must be awful. Have you consulted a gastrointestinal doctor? If not, I would recommend you do. I wish I had some advice for you but I really don't.

Hi Guys, My girlfriend has lower stomach pain and a lot of bloating in the lower stomach since the beginning of the year. Whenever she is getting close to having her period and during her period the pain completely subsides. Moreover, she is living in the UAE and was for 2 month over the summer in Canada where the pain subsided as well. She then did two Colonoscopies. The first one couldn't be completed and the doctor wasn't very good.

Anyhoo last night I had to get up to go to the bathroom and I went to roll over and had such severe pain I could barely roll over or get up. When I finally did I could not stand up straight. I had to get to the bathroom hunched over. After I went to the bathroom the pain subsided a little bit and I could stand up and by this morning is has subsided. Do you think baby was just pressing down on my bladder to the point that he was causing this pain because my bladder was full?

I'm 13 & I've had severe stomach problems for over a year now. I've gotten numerous amounts of tests done, & I'm always getting the same answers, "We can't find anything." I have these sharp pains all over my stomach, it feels like I'm being stabbed over & over again, the pain never goes away.

-Cholestisis -Pre Eclampsia Im far from experienced on these conditions but I do know that when I complained of severe itchiness only in the last few weeks that I was told to get it checked out for this very reason. I found talcum powder after a shower helped to alleviate itchiness temperarily also. Let me know how you go.

I'm having severe stomach cramps on the lower left side of my stomach. It hurts so much that I can hardly move and they're not going away. AF finished over a week ago (I'm on CD11). Ever since AF finished I've been having cramps in the right side of my stomach, and in my upper and lower stomach everyday. However they changed sides this afternoon and have become really painful. I've also have a really windy rumbly stomach. Are any of these symptons a sign of pregnancy?

For 2 years I have been suffering from a severe pain in the right side of my head. This causes a pain in my right eye and ear. If I sneeze or cough,,,, its as if my brain is rattling around inside my head. I also suffer from tinitus. The pain is worse when laying down. Problems have not been too bad for a few months but in the last week I have caught what might be a cold. This "cold" appears approx every three months. My nose does not get blocked or run or drip.

The last attact was sudden onset and quite severe. Not having a diagnosis at this point, I have concerns the pain will return. I've had mild abdominal pain for several months. I've lost more than 10 pounds since the symptoms worsened as my appetite decreased. Any suggestions for how to pursue a diagnosis at this point. Blood work was done a few days prior to the ERCP and all results were "normal".

I have recently started taking Lantus at night and Humalog before meals. After about a month my stomach pain was unbearable. It began with chills at night, severe dry heaves, (unable to throw up due to reflux surgery) and diahhrea. My doctor said he thought I had a virus. I could not figure out what was going on. I usually gave myself shots in the upper stomach area, so I moved the shots to my legs with no improvement. I even tried Levemir, but after two days the pains came back.

In the last week of December of 2016 I woke up in the middle of the night with severe stomach pain. I was curling up in pain and I did not know why. I do not smoke, I am a social drinker however, I only take a sip not even drink a whole glass. I eat healthy once a month I eat out. I tried Marshmallow Root tea and, it worked it made my stomach stop hurting and I was able to go to sleep my stomach hurt so bad I could not sleep. It went away then like the pain came back.

So idk what to do.. I went to the er last night because I was having really severe pain where the baby is and down into my pelvic area.. im 15 weeks. I had also been vomiting since the night before. They ran blood, urine, and u/s. Gave Mr something for pain and vomiting.. said everything was fine and sent me home (told me to call ob today) I was up most the night tossing and turning This morning I woke up with bad diahrea and still the stomach pains.

I personally think ANY severe pain needs to be checked by a doctor. I get pains but nothing Unbearable. So I'd recommend going to the doctor to be on the safe side. It could just be baby sitting on a nerve or pressuring against you- try moving baby. But if it continues go see a doctor hun.

She has periodic episodes during the night time where she wakes up crying with severe stomach pain around the belly button. She is shaking uncontrollably. She has had a barium dye test and ultrasound. This has been occurring for the past year. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is, it could be from gas or round ligament pain. Depending on where the pain is coming from, how severe it is, and any other symptoms associated with it will tell you if its serious or not. Whenever jn doubt its best to always check with your doctor. For me gas has been extremely painful. I thought I was having a miscarriage one night because of it.

you dont say where the pain is located in the upper abdomen is it on the irght as Gall Bladder Attack is very painful and is located on the right under the rib cage and radiates up to the shoulder and even into the Back.
