From my research, most sertraline (generic for Zoloft) are not made in the US. This means that the standards and some of the ingredients are not the same, and there is virtually no oversight. There is "Northstar sertraline," which was previously available at Target; "Camber sertraline," available at Target and CVS; "Greenstone sertraline," available at Walgreens, and "Teva sertraline," which is made in Israel--I'm not sure where that is available.
ve been on 3 different Sertraline generics (Aurobindo, Teva and Greenstone) as well as the name brand, and Greenstone does seem to be the same as the name brand.
i so hoping by Friday I feel some relief iv had my last 100mg of sertraline today as it's been hell for me on it I just hope the 37.
My drugstore recently switched to Sandoz brand which gave me heartburn. The drugstore switched again to Dava brand which brought on anxiety and nervousness. One last try with the pharmacy and they gave me Greenstone which is causing sleep problems, mainly insomnia. Is the Mylan brand no longer available? And are the side affects above possible since they are supposed to all have the same active ingredients. Is it the filler?
Hi, I'm currently on vacation and I was running out on my Alprazolam (Brand: Restyl SR) that I normally take and I met with a doctor here today and got a prescription for it. It's the Alprazolam XR (Greenstone brand). I've usually been taking 0.5 mg 3 times a day which is a 1.5 mg every day, and upon getting this I'm prescribed to take 0.5 mg 2 times a day, which brings it to a 1 mg.
I am currently taking 50mg of Sertraline (Manufacturer: Greenstone) to treat some depressive symptoms. I have been on zoloft at varying dosages since 2004, and since then have been on and off the drug twice. Once last summer, and once this past summer. On occasion I forget to take my tablet and until last week, no effect was felt if I immediately started back on it. Last week I forget to take it for one day and then restart.
ve heard a lot of good things about this drug. Also, the psychiatrist also stated that the generic brand makes a biggggg difference. I was originally on very cheap generic and he switched me to 'greenstone' generic. I hope this is helpful. Keep with it.
Just remember that there are side effects with Sertraline (Zoloft) in both the generic and brand name forms especiallly when you start, change doses, or come off of it, but for most people they are not that bad. For example I have more side effects from taking a Claritan than I ever did with Zoloft. As with any medical concerns, always keep an open channel with your doctor to express any of your concerns or questions.
Some people do fine with the sertraline generics, but others find they are not as effective, or experience more side effects. Some peolpe find one manufacturer's generic is okay, while a different generic is not.
One of my patients switched to a generic after being on brand Zoloft for years, and soon after developed GI symptoms, She was about to be put on a med. for that problem, but decided to first try switching back to Zoloft.
ll see new warnings not to combine tamoxifen with certain SSRIs..paroxetine, fluoxetine, and sertraline. .... Women have a higher risk of breast cancer recurrence if they take tamoxifen along with paroxetine, fluoxetine, or sertraline... but NOT citalopram, escitalopram, or fluvoxamine. .....About 30% of women on tamoxifen also take an SSRI for depression or hot flashes. FDA will add new warnings..
Are these two drugs compatable levothyroxine and sertraline hcl? Does your thyroid control your blood sugar?

It is 2011 and i have found my way back to sertraline. I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I have been feeling constantly tired, apathetic and despondent.

I have had migraines for the past 20 years, normally I experience 3 or 4 migraines a year but since I have been taking Sertraline I have had many more than usual. I am sure that it is the Sertraline because I normally take it before bed and have woke up several mornings with the leftover pain from the migraine I had while sleeping ( before Sertraline I have never had a migraine during the night ).

The sertraline lol now I take celexa and its not really making me feel too different from the sertraline but, im always all over my bf now ahaha and as for the anxiety the sertraline basically killed that monster lol
My doctor prescribed me Sertraline 25mg on top of my existing med. The first day I took Sertraline I got stomach upset and diarrhea; reduced to 12.5mg now. I m suffering side-effects like I'm having a fever(fatigue, sweaty, chills at times). On top of that, my menstruation's cramp is exceptionally bad this time, not sure it was affected by Sertraline. I am not sure this med would help me anymore. Hope someone could induce more positive effects about Sertraline.
Hi,use of sertraline for more than 6 months is associated with weight gain,but the incidence is very less and that too not significant.Whereas topomax causes weight loss.
Please consult doctor before quitting sertraline as withdrawl symptoms are quite common.
Hello Ireland from UK. I took 150mg Sertraline once daily. I am on a different drug, but still take 150mg in one go. No problem with that. Your new doctor is right.
